Helpful brainstorming technique is to think through the experiences you have in your day that are unique to you. I didn't get this until we all ready stories about what family dinner looked like in AP Lang -- completely different across the different students.

All steps are important you can't skip any of them. Will use these next year when writing my essays

One of my classmates got into Harvard. I asked how she got in and it was no surprise to how much work she had put in. Not going to be rude, but I'm deadass going to describe her. She's always been that one kid with very minimal friends. Always talked to herself and walk in circles. You never know what's going on in her head. She'd always get straight As and participated in a lot of climate change protests. She would trade her entire summer to volunteer ever since grade 9 and joined almost every club in the school. Even clubs that were at the verge of extinction. Honestly I don't think she achieved anything super big like inventing something new to get into Harvard. All she did was prove that she's actively participating and connecting with the world.
I have already applied to Harvard for REA, I definitely did exactly what she said.

Omg😢I thought I was alone. All my friends say I am crazy because I am planning all the things I want to do in highschool and other things like my top colleges and my passion project ext . I want to be a vet now am planning but when I turn at 14, I am putting my plan in action by starting to sign up for scholarships so I can save for college and vet school and lots of other things I have like 3 pages in document. 😅
Guys I think you should just relax until high school starts, it's good to have a plan but you should also just live life and have fun
The essays have to always being a type of storyline? THe question I am writing of is "TELL US ABOUT WHO YOU ARE. HOW WOULD YOUR FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND/OR MEMBERS OF YOUR COMMUNITY DESCRIBE YOU? IF POSSIBLE, PLEASE INCLUDE SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF THAT YOU ARE MOST PROUD OF AND WHY." And currently I am just adding the description of my self as bullet points, with very specific descriptions and feelings but I am not really sharing any story. So... I am really worried

I have a question. If all students have to write their own essays, how will you determine if that particular student wrote it? I mean, if the student's essay is written by another person. After all, the writing of that student himself is not checked, is it not?
well, they can´t. I think that the important part of writing it yourself is that, since this questions ask about you, you are the person who knows you the most and add the best description to yourself
@@alondrie4366 they can sorta get a feeling off of how your other supplementals (or EC short answers even) are written
Question for anyone: I have a strength of writing pretty well. I’m no author though, nor in any profession I could use it for. I also feel like I could hone it more. What major in college should I go for that could potentially lead to a career that pays thrivable or even lucrative income?
Journalism, Play or Screenwriters, I think those could be great!
I would say maybe a field in research? Applying research in your writing could definitely land you a stable job.
I replied to your comment somewhere else too but I think there's many careers with writing so if you have any other interests you could find a career with them combined

A question to anybody out there reading these comments. Obviously it would be unethical to have an AI tool write your essay. Would it be ethical to have one proofread your work? Thanks for your input.
I think Grammarly is ok to use to check your Grammar, but I'm no expert.
I don't think it would be unethical, but I would just not trust it idk why so maybe have a teacher proofread it!

anything not related to academics so can be things in school like a school club or stuff outside school too like internships etc

I am seven and I’m almost 8 and I literally searched up what to do for your college essay. I don’t know why and then
I'm a little older, 11. I recommend just to focus on your extra curricular and try to know what might make you stand out. 10 more years to know, just grow our your social life. Trust me, join clubs and sports asap.
@@MrSnorlaxz Real, i should've started to worry about my ECs, Stats and essay since elementary or middle school or maybe since i was in the womb. Its too late for me now, I guess only a community college will accept me.

@@leenstouch2193 well, things like sports or clubs or social events like math team, discovering a new cell and researching on it and even working can all be an “extracurricular”. It doesn’t really matter it can be held at school or even out. There’s some crazy things you can call as extracurriculars that they approve of, for example volunteering for a social project like a library or even tutoring people as a nonprofit.
