I was a translator, a mentor, a tutor, i was also showing the new kids around the school, raised my gpa to 3.07 (unweighted), joined leadership programs, and blablahblah. idek if colleges would look at it tbh

Man I have such a negative outlook- when I was in my freshman year my dream school was MIT and I want to pursue my career field under Engineering. Though now I feel so defeated and engineering was so hard (I'm in my sophomore year) I messed up so badly in my first two school years. I was supposed to show growth but I showed the very opposite. I failed my ap exam, got a terribly low PSAT score, had a F in my math 3 class.
I just went through the motions in high school. and I was never inspired, never motivated by teachers, parents or coaches and I was just excited to get it all over with. I wish I could redo everything.

Congratulations on all your accomplishments!! My daughter is an upcoming Junior at Stanford, and she was really intimidated during the campus tour & application process. She didn't see many women of color on campus during the tour, and the experience wasn't very encouraging. It's great for upcoming high schoolers to see representation in students such as yourself. I hope you will consider giving campus tours, so that hopeful applicants can feel more inclusivity on campus. Cheers to you!!

idk why i’m here or why i think i think i can get into Harvard. I’m in 8th grade and my GPA I KID YOU NOT IS A .9 HAHAHAHAHA. I swear it’s not bc i’m stupid... After the pandemic hit i had a period in time where i couldn’t get up and didn’t have the motivation to do anything. Not even getting up to eat, or go to the bathroom. It’s just 1:00 AM and i’m going through one of those moments where you want to get ‘your life together’. I’m really going through it y’all...
i’m not doing TERRIBLE i guess.. only thing i struggle with is math. I did the Psat months back got a score of 880. 500 being ELA, 380 Math. My school has a paper that tells you what you’re recommended for ur next year class based on ur test scores from the psat and such. I got Honors English 1, Honors World history, Honors Biology, got my Reading seminar waived bc my score met the requirements, and Algebra 1. I was 3 points away from being in Honors Algebra 1. Assuming these are good bc honors is higher level. But it’d still be nice to hear if i’m EXACTLY headed in the right direction or not.

I feel like in the uk there's such a difference in sports in school. Like we have after school clubs but they aren't really high level sports like junior and varsity volleyball like that doesn't exist here we just like kick a ball around after school. But if you want to actually compete in sports you would do sports outside of school like join a local football club or dance or whatever.
