Jo Brodsky, what sort of discount off the sticker price have you been able to negotiate by talking to different dealerships? I'm an out of town buyer, Porsche dealerships are a 2hr flight away. Should I fly there and stay a few days, negotiate and walk out. Could be costly for me to repeat that over a few week ends but if the discount is substantial it would be worth it.
Probably the best 911 detailed options list video on the internet, you can't get that experienced feedback on most of them. And that will be a pretty unique car for sure.
So so so nice. Absolutely love this build. I'd probably only have added the lift system. But only because I ache at the thought of scraping. Really nice car. I hope you enjoy it! Almost a baby turbo s.
Correct. I've never seen a manual 991 in the flesh here in Germany. Take rate for the manual was about 1% here. Might be even less with the 991.2. Everything changed when PDK came a long. I drove a 997 C2 until recently, that still had a healthy 60/40 distribution in favor of the manual over the TipTronic.
I plan on getting my first 911 next spring, and I'm kinda stuck deciding on manual or not. I love a good manual, but honestly the PDK is really quite an amazing transmission, its hard not to like it....Until I drove a PDK, I never had such an appreciation for a proper dual clutch (unlike the sloppy MCT in my AMG)
Good choices Nick. Could be my car/choice. And in the end, you never NEVER buy a car with the next owner in mind. It has to be your dream car and yours alone. Sports exhaust system? I hate the coffee machine sound of it. If people want to show off, they should buy it. But not Nick and not me. A big thumbs up for all the explaining you do, can't wait for the delivery vlog. Will just have to wait with you, lol. Thx mate!
Have a 991.1 Turbo S. Just a tip, but not for Nick. I live in Vegas where there is intense heat. I'm not a big alcantara fan, but it is a MUST have for the steering wheel if you live in extreme heat because the wheel never gets hot.
I have a 2017 targa 4S.....and I love it. I selected the same wheels as you....but painted them in gloss black. It looks fantastic! This is my 7th 911 and it's my favorite to date. Purists can hate on the turbos all day long, but it's greatly improved low end torque without sacrificing sound and it greatly improves fuel economy. You are gonna love the car. Best of luck with it.....
I got the Carrera sport wheels, but in black. My spec is what you'd call the full Miami drug dealer (Cabrio too). Wish the sport tex seats where available when I got it. Congrats nice spec.
Thank you, Nick, for sharing with us. Love your sensibility, and staying true to what YOU like! It's only new once! I really hope this 911 is all you expect and more
Hahaha, thanks Stank ;) Not young though, heh. For me it's the exterior design of porsche that I don't necessarily enjoy. They are wonderful cars, just not my style.
All the colors and options you choose go so well together even the wheels. When dont really prefer those wheels but with all your other color options it goes well! Good choices!
What I enjoy about this channel is that even though Nick is very fortunate, it doesn't convey through his personality. I don't see why other viewer think that he's gloating but imo he isn't.
A colour that looks fantastic when the sun is out! Tbh, I like most colours that aren't black, grey or white... because 90% of the cars on the road are monochrome.
congratulations Nick! very happy for you. your selections were on point with mine living vicariously through you all the way. thanks again for all the great content you put out. best of luck bud!
Nick our tastes are exactly the same. If was buying a 911 this is nearly exactly how I would spec it. I would have added the adjustable sport suspension though.
Totally agree on the brakes. Ceramic not necessary unless you are tracking the car. Steel is better for the street, and especially if you are going to keep the car for a long time and have to ever to a brake job
Beautiful choices. BTW, Nick, you aren't "lucky" to be able to buy this car, you are simply the beneficiary of all the good choices you've made and hard work you've put in for years and years. Congratulations. PS Nick be careful, the nice leather on the storage compartment upgrade is very susceptible to doggy claws!! I know this firsthand.
Nick my 991.2 comes around the same time as yours....just locked down the spec yesterday so seeing this video was great, I totally get the excitement (never bothered commenting on a TH-cam video before, but love your stuff. It's natural, childish and fun! Faaaaar from showing off or smug)
I bet I could say the same about a few things you like the look of. You understand that taste is personal and the reason that you can buy different things in this world is because we all like different things...don't you?
Love the spec and colour combo Nick. Only thing I couldn't live with it the blue steering wheel and dash. looking forward to you collecting it and putting up a video. As I'm sure you are.
Hey Nick, I rarely post on TH-cam videos but I'm a big fan of your content. Happy for you that you're getting another 911. As you said, it's all down to personal taste, but I honestly think this is the nicest specced 991 I've seen. The interior is stunning. Great choices, and thanks for being so honest and open in your videos, and for sharing the experience.
I love everything about your spec, but the rims. Dark blue cars are just beautiful, and the interior you have chosen is too - can't wait to see the collection video!
Nick, I really like your configuration. However, I can't help but notice that the 911 will cost more than twice the price of a new BMW M4 - car, which I believe you said was excellent and reliable. what's my point? I don't know - just an observation.
I concur. In terms of style, prestige, engineering and grace the 911 really doesn't have any peers at the price, expensive though it may be. The M4 has morphed philosophically from a rare homologation racer to an "M" option that makes me think "German muscle car". On an unrelated note, I'm contemplating the purchase of a Buick Lucerne because I'm getting "mature" beyond my years.
Love it Nick, can't wait to see the car. I have a new C Class Coupe coming in a week, and I can barely wait for that, I can't imagine waiting for this.
Hello Nick! I think this configuration looks so much better than the "original" you were planning on getting ! :) Ofcourse its a shame you didnt get the green paint (which i didnt like) so im glad about it.. :P what a shame that we couldnt get european delivry :( Anyways, what a gorgeous car this is.
And.. Its the minor details that make it so perfect, such as the seatbelt outlets, if they were black n plastic it would have ruined the harmony :P And i think the Grey/white seatbelts were a must :)
Nick, love the build and color combination - outstanding with the contrast! Good on you getting the manual transmission. Can't wait to see the new car. Good luck buddy.
Nick Murray I understand the solid yellow they only seem to have as a standard color right now is a bit bold but you can't go wrong with a really faint yellow. It almost looks like a pale lager. I don't know the name of it!
What!!! No Roof Rails!!! How will you carry the kayak? Car looks sweet... We, as in viewers of your channel, will miss out on Super European delivery videos you could have taken... Man... tell Porsche they lose on free TH-cam advertising by not giving you European delivery. Try to talk to Porsche NA directly... Good luck
People hated Schmee for his 675LT spec, but after a while watching the car, I think most came to understand his decisions. I was mixed originally, but now I adore it. Love the look Nick!
Thanks Nick! Good update. It's clear how excited you are, but seriously... those wheels? I will pay you £10 by PayPal NOT to order those wheels. I know I'll be watching your future videos and that particular design physically hurts my eyes!
Very handsome build. Easily one of the greatest things about a 911 is the degree to which this already great all-arounder can be optioned to deliver a truly personalized, borderline bespoke, experience. Color me jealous. Congrats.
Good choice with the manual transmission regarding everything. Forget what the car makers say about the bad economy of manual transmissions. They have an interest to sell the much more expensive "automatic" versions. The biggest German car magazine made a big test of several models and under different conditions and funnily enough in no case the fuel efficiency of the car with manual transmission was higher. Slightly lower till 0,5 l per 100 km lower. The car makers claim that the opposite is the case. A good driver is able to drive more efficient with a manual (also with current cars of every maker). That is still a matter of fact. The lab test methods to measure the fuel efficiency support automatic cars. Feels a car with dual-clutch more powerful? Sorry Nick but this is nonsens. When you are with the manual in a very high gear and low rpm and the dual-clutch takes a small gear concerning "sport mode" of course yes, but it is up to you to take a gear what you need to feel the power ;)
I am sure if you drove a MT 911 in totally fuel effect manner it would match the PDK but turns out in the real world that never happens. My friends with MT 911's get terrible fuel economy, normally low teens for MPG where as the PDK owners (including my old car) have no problem getting high 20's. It simply comes down to the PDK always being on top of its game I guess. As for the car 'feeling' more powerful, the reason I say this is the way the PDK can bang through gears keeping the throttle wide open, no MT can do this so there is a notable difference when really pushing a 911 with PDK
Maybe it depends also where you drive (city, highway, interstate, curvy hill road) and if you shift the PDK by your own or if you let it shift by the cars program. The PDK can't know if the road in front of the car goes up or down or if a curve comes or not so it can't choose never the best gear in that case and that is effecting also the efficiency. BMW is now combining GPS data with the automatic gear box what is clever to have the best gear in advance prepared. In general shifting needs energy and when the car has to do that it takes fuel. Not much but a little. An other factor is the weight of both systems and the efficiency or rather losses of both systems. In general not so easy to answer what is more efficient. A lot of parameters (including the driver) are influencing this. I drove last year a normal 911 with the PDK (349 HP). Frankly speaking it felt not very powerful at low rpm and large gears the PDK was using mostly. Of course the "kick down" brought the power I was expecting but after the drive I was sure to have with a manual gear box more fun... Nowadays 80% or more of all new ordered 911 have the PDK. For me not fully understandable.
Nick, my dealer explained to me how Porsche changed their sound system amplification and deadening to improve overall sound quality. I definitely think you did a good thing choosing the Bose speakers :) I did the same on my 718 ;)
Your car with all the "weird" options is going to crash it's value so much, it will to be worth 10k$ in 2 or 3 years... let me know when you want to sell it :)
Nick as 19-year-old car enthusiast your decisions make a lot of sense I would have configure mine about the same way!!! You're awesome dude keep it real!😊😊😊
Hey Nick, your selection in options reflect you and that's the best way to build a car! Can't wait to compare your car to your friend's Porsche! The wait is killing me! ☺️
+Nick Murray Congratulations on your new car! Glad you are making your own decisions and not worrying about what others think or about perceived resale. It doesn't make sense to purchase a new car with the second owner in mind. Purchase what you want. Looking forward to the "just arrived" video. Very glad to see you went with the manual and the all-wheel-drive. I have a WRX with a 6-speed and it is a joy to drive everyday.
Just thought I'd say, I like watching these videos. I thank you for sharing the experience of configuring and buying A new car, let alone a Porsche. It's a fantastic feeling, and I absolutely love it. Haha. Take care, and good luck!!!
Nick I just want to say I am excited for you that you can buy this amazing vehicle. I also am pumped because an actual driving enthusiast is getting a cool car. Congrats and great choice in the car. We all love you and your ape. Cheers!
I see cars periodically and wonder who would buy them with those options..... thanks to this video I have solved the mystery! Congrats on the car and I hope you enjoy it!
great timing .. since it's been a while, I was just checking out your channel this morning to see if there was an update on the 991.2 :) Excited for you.
Hi Nick, I just found your channel. I bought my first Porsche last Saturday ( Carrera C4S Cabriolet 2007). I never thought a car could make me so happy!!......I'm really looking forward to seeing your new car, it should be a beauty !!
Did not think I would like the colors either, but after watching and seeing the interior I think it looks great! Love the contrast between the aluminum and the blue interior.
Amazing configuration. And I admire you for configuring the car 100% to your taste. Most people buy safe with 50 shades of grey for the exterior with black interior. I actually think you will sell your car one day much easier then if you went with safe choice. You only have one car and need one buyer with taste like yours which you will most definitely find. Kudos for not taking sport exhaust and full LEDs, I prefer the look of your choice too.
Nick I regret getting the sport exhaust cause it is just too loud when driving in local street especially at night. I have bad experience on the tilt glass sunroof cause it leaks when the drain get clog up plus I feel safer with the solid roof. During summer the glass sunroof makes your had so hot under the sun on a long drive. The rear steering ruined my rear rims the first day I drove my car after I got too close to pickup the parking lot tickets on the machine. But overall you got a very good option.
I was skeptical at first but this is a beautiful spec. Timeless and classy which makes it stand out from all the aggressively spec'd 991s. Plus its a manual! Congrats
You're not the only dark-green lover, Nick. I adore it. Happy driving with your new 911! Why didn't you buy that 993?? And can you take delivery in Atlanta at the Porsche center? I did an instructor session there in a base Cayman. Very nice facility.
Congratulations Nick! Haters think when you buy an expensive car that you're some trust fund douche, but there's something cool about working hard an rewarding yourself with something very nice. Overall I like the selection you've come up with. Personally I think your last 911 was perfect (I'm a total sucker for the deviated stitching you had), but I think this will look great too. Also thanks for keeping the manual transmission, and the rear wiper alive! Considering you'll daily the 911 in the winter, the rear wiper is a must. And alas, those wheels are terrible, but you already knew that. Can't wait to see some videos!
Love the look and I love the wheels they look like the 50th anniversary. The interior looks so good with the paint the only thing I would change is the sports exhaust. Great job Nick
Absolutely beautiful configuration Nick. Exactly how I would choose mine. I would only go for PCCB (I personally think the yellow calipers with carrera sport wheels go better with the blue car, especially when moving), LED headlights and probably tinted windows. But I love your spec, Nick.
You worked for it, you earned it, you didnt steal it... so its no luck Nick, just hard work
Those interior and exterior colors that you ultimately chose seriously could not be better. I love that combination.
My sister got me this shirt. The love.
Have to say you also pull off world class cool, chilled, friendly-guy vibes Nick. Just in case you felt deprived of love by any chance.
obviously she has a Ph.D in irony....
is she hot?
Hotter than a cow on fire :)
Where can I get one?
15 seconds in. First reactions:
1. Thank god i've missed you
2. Yes an update on the 911
3. Best shirt ever
Please make video about financing, discount and whole buying process like you said in video. That would be super interesting to hear in detail!
Well he said he buys cash. But tips on negotiating would be greatly appreciated
Yes! I want to know how you can get the best price!
Jo Brodsky that's amazing. Thank you!
I like it a lot. The blue and grey is bloody marvellous.
So so so nice. Absolutely love this build. I'd probably only have added the lift system. But only because I ache at the thought of scraping. Really nice car. I hope you enjoy it! Almost a baby turbo s.
(I can't wait to use a configurator tool and actually have money for it haha)
Good idea on the manual. If it ever gets stolen by an American, they won't be able to drive it.
The funny thing is BMW and Porsche both say only the U.S. wants a manual and that is why they still develop it.
AKF .gaming Yes. That is exactly what I said. Americans = U.S.
AMD FX Supreme was not disagreeing with, I was disagreeing with agua
That interior is just perfect!!! Those wheels suits the color/interior so well too. Can't wait to see it
Good choices Nick.
I'm not a big alcantara fan, but it is a MUST have for the steering wheel if you live in extreme heat because the wheel never gets hot.
i actually really like your choices! congrats
I really hope this 911 is all you expect and more
Good for you Nick! Hope you enjoy it!
My dream is a Jaguar SVR.. Not a huge fan of Porsche, but I respect the brand.
Gear lever in aluminium is gonna feel cold in winter! Cheers from Scandinavia. Love Your Channel
Seeing you come from a Dual clutch cars to a manual was a beautiful transformation. Bravo
I like the options you have chosen. Only opinion that matters is yours!
What I enjoy about this channel is that even though Nick is very fortunate, it doesn't convey through his personality. I don't see why other viewer think that he's gloating but imo he isn't.
Call me weird but i like the Miami Blue.
irre levant great color, it looks way better in teal life
A colour that looks fantastic when the sun is out! Tbh, I like most colours that aren't black, grey or white... because 90% of the cars on the road are monochrome.
Absolutely beautiful build. Perfect in every way. Can't wait to see it in person!
Amazing interior and exterior choices
congratulations Nick! very happy for you. your selections were on point with mine living vicariously through you all the way. thanks again for all the great content you put out. best of luck bud!
Really cool spec Nick, bet you can't wait to see her for real... 👌🏻
Joe Achilles this is an old people spec. Where i live only old people in their 50’s drive normal 911’s.
Nick your spec is beautiful! Absolutely gorgeous, exactly how I would spec mine if I could
Nick our tastes are exactly the same. If was buying a 911 this is nearly exactly how I would spec it.
I would have added the adjustable sport suspension though.
I'm not a fan of the seats unless they are better then they look. They look like cloth instead of leather.
They are cloth instead of leather
Nick, thanks for sharing, great spec and very informative too. Always enjoy watching your videos, looking forward to the reveal.
Entertaining as ever. Thank you for sharing.
Very nice videos Nick. You deserve much more subscribers.
I'm in love with your spec, congrats Nick!
Keep us updated!
Nick my 991.2 comes around the same time as yours....just locked down the spec yesterday so seeing this video was great, I totally get the excitement (never bothered commenting on a TH-cam video before, but love your stuff. It's natural, childish and fun! Faaaaar from showing off or smug)
OH my god those wheels doe... What were you thinking nickypoo
Are you getting the new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar?
Nice choice of colors Nick. The interior looks fabulous and match very well with the exterior. Can’t wait to see this Porsche in your videos.
Lol. My neighbor has a yellow 911 4s. I think it looks nice
Nick! Why don't you just wrap your car moss green?
At this point it wouldn't match with the interior
I love everything about your spec, but the rims. Dark blue cars are just beautiful, and the interior you have chosen is too - can't wait to see the collection video!
Nick, I really like your configuration. However, I can't help but notice that the 911 will cost more than twice the price of a new BMW M4 - car, which I believe you said was excellent and reliable. what's my point? I don't know - just an observation.
The M4 is excellent for what it is but a 911 is a whole other level

The configuration looks stunning. The contrasts look spot on. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh so to speak.
4S vs Grapo drag race: The re-re match! 😈
Wavehogger let's take some corners!
Nick Murray 4 wheel steering. You're such a purist. 😝 Oversteer FTW.
Nick, love the build and color combination - outstanding with the contrast! Good on you getting the manual transmission. Can't wait to see the new car. Good luck buddy.
Yellow is classic on a Porsche, how is it wrong on a 911?
So wrong: )
Nick Murray I understand the solid yellow they only seem to have as a standard color right now is a bit bold but you can't go wrong with a really faint yellow. It almost looks like a pale lager. I don't know the name of it!
Kevin De Smet I'd get yellow over this almost black they call dark blue any day.
Fantastic video. Gives you practical real life insights you wouldn't get from the average car review. Great job Nick and congratulations!
Good luck
Don't worry my friend I have them. First thing I am doing.
Feel the hate for those wheels wash over you. You do not know the power of the dark side.
I'm gonna say I love the wheels Nick, great choice.
Very handsome build. Easily one of the greatest things about a 911 is the degree to which this already great all-arounder can be optioned to deliver a truly personalized, borderline bespoke, experience. Color me jealous. Congrats.
Fingers crossed you don't get a lemon this time around.
I'm a corvette guy. But always liked 911s from afar. Can't wait to see your creation and wish you the best with it. Cheers!

You're awesome dude keep it real!😊😊😊
911 in yellow is wrong? You cannot be serious.
He's right, you know.
I'm going to get a yellow 911 and drive past his house repeatedly!!!
Tim Tursonoff yellow 911s are hot
any car in yellow is wrong
herrdoktorknowitall I love yellow Z06, Lambos, 911s, Ferraris. I do own a dark Blue CLK63 and a dark Blue R8 Spyder though.
Hey Nick, your selection in options reflect you and that's the best way to build a car! Can't wait to compare your car to your friend's Porsche! The wait is killing me! ☺️
Now the real question is who are you voting for since you're an American citizen now????
William
+Nick Murray Congratulations on your new car! Glad you are making your own decisions and not worrying about what others think or about perceived resale. It doesn't make sense to purchase a new car with the second owner in mind. Purchase what you want. Looking forward to the "just arrived" video. Very glad to see you went with the manual and the all-wheel-drive. I have a WRX with a 6-speed and it is a joy to drive everyday.
Great color and spec Nick! I love how you poor over the options like I do and find I these videos so interesting while others may not.
Cheers!
Forget what people say you should do. That setup is going to look clean! Congrats
Great spec Nick .... Can't wait to see it
@Nick Murray - I love the wheels that you have chosen!!
I see cars periodically and wonder who would buy them with those options..... thanks to this video I have solved the mystery!
Congrats on the car and I hope you enjoy it!
Nick congrats on your new 911 Porsche. I have a Turbo S and just luv it !!
great timing .. since it's been a while, I was just checking out your channel this morning to see if there was an update on the 991.2 :) Excited for you.
I thought at first that you were mad for choosing those wheels but then towards the end of your video I changed my mind. Very easy to clean too!
Great setup, Nick. Those wheels remind me of old RX-8 wheels that I loved. Great, great car. Can't wait for your delivery video.
Awesomely unique build as a 911 should be! Can't wait to see the real deal, congrats!
Great configuration Nick! That 911 is going to look so good! I look forward to your next video when you finally get the keys to her
Hi Nick, I just found your channel. I bought my first Porsche last Saturday ( Carrera C4S Cabriolet 2007). I never thought a car could make me so happy!!......I'm really looking forward to seeing your new car, it should be a beauty !!
Gorgeous looking 911 Nick, great combination of spec, options and colours.
Did not think I would like the colors either, but after watching and seeing the interior I think it looks great! Love the contrast between the aluminum and the blue interior.
Can not wait to see your new 911. I will say congratulation when you has it delivered.
Nick, I happen to like most of your choices! It looks great, can't wait to see the actual car.
i have a 997 4s and live just north of boston...they do well in the snow you will enjoy it.good luck nick
Congrats Nick, the interior is stunning! Looking forward to the delivery video!
Looks incredible! I really like the contrast the seats provide
The seatbelt leather thing is a great touch.
Definitely a piece I would notice. And the steering column in leather is a MUST.
Great specs
Congrats Nick! Nicely specced car. The blue looks a winner for sure!
Amazing spec Nick. Dark Blue and Carrera Sport are such a beautiful choice.
Absolutely beautiful configuration Nick. Exactly how I would choose mine. I would only go for PCCB (I personally think the yellow calipers with carrera sport wheels go better with the blue car, especially when moving), LED headlights and probably tinted windows. But I love your spec, Nick.
I like the wheels, Nick. Great choice mate!
I love your choices. Car looks stunning. Looking forward to future videos with your new 911
Yes, Yes, Yes!!! Car looks amazing!!! Well done, I love what you've done.
