I have a question for you Matt. How long has it taken you to get so good at MTB?. And I’m a beginner and wondering if there is any advice you could give me on what to do to practice my technique if I don’t have access to a park at the time. If anyone else has any advice I’ll take that as well
if you do not have access to a park, you could just ride around the neighborhood. just try different positions; get your butt behind the saddle, above the saddle, try tilting the bike but not yourself, or just simply practice getting in a ready position (pedals at the same height as one-another, arms bent about 45 degrees, butt off the saddle). if you do happen to have access to a bike park or trails, I would recomend just trying to get a feel for the trails. just start with easy trails and/or you could go on a bit harder trail and just skip the features. one you feel that you have developed a bit or can just comfortably ride the easy trail, you can move to a harder trail. maybe ride off some small rocks. I really would recomend just watching youtube videos. I learned how to do more complex moves just from watching videos. they will help you quite a bit. if you want to know more I am happy to help along with others in the reply section. ,Hope this helps (:
