- Thessaloniki is in a region of Greece that is steeped in ancient history with Alexander the Great being born nearby. Paul’s ministry there once again met with challenges and he had to escape from the city. In Berea he met with believers who had been a witness to the church ever since as they searched the Bible for themselves. May we always test everything by the Bible like those in Berea as we continue to learn today.

What scriptures did they search? The Bible as we know it today had not yet been compiled.
The Torah. This is the Old Testament.
Why do SDAs esteem the teachings of Ellen G. White so highly if we are to be as noble minded as the Bereans?
I believe EGW writings urge us to read and study the Scriptures. Nothing wrong with that I think.

Ellen White. Desire of Ages. All days are Gods; in which to carry out His plans for the human race.
Him; My answer to this has been consistent throughout. All days were created by God, making them His. But there is only one day that was sanctified and set aside for weekly worship, which is the seventh day. Mrs. White does not differ with that view.
Me; Sabbath wasn't sanctified. Sorry to point that out.

Does sanctified; look like strictly a Genesis word?
If so; Sabbath isn't sanctified.
Him; Genesis 2:3. You must read a different Bible than I do. His plan for the human race has always been to bring them home to the relationship with Him that He always intended, until Adam and Eve chose differently.

Him; Your conclusions are yours and only yours. Not even the Catholic Church, who changed the day to Sunday, agree with you. But, you have the freedom to believe as you choose. I already responded to the last part of her statement. Look back to my previous texts.

A Sunday agreer at Lev 23:11. Then a Sunday denier; who claims the Catholics changed the day.
Back in the days of Jacob Gibbs; even he admitted, Christians kept Sunday; since before the 1st pope.
Him; Check the Catholic catechism. They are the ones who claim to have changed the day. Even they acknowledge that the Sabbath is Saturday.
