very informative, I thank you for helping me understand the times and culture of the ancient days, I find it so helpful when reading scripture. I look forward to each teaching, God Bless!
This book shows the power of the Word, how deep this Word can go into a man's (humanity's) heart in such a shorrt time as three weeks. A testimony for today's churches to preach the everlasting power of God's Word wiht love and convinced that thee Holy Spirit is capable of producing changes in us when we accept the message of the Cross. Thank you brothert, very well said.
Thank you Dave for this brief yet very informative video about Thessalonica. Dont grow tired of making videos like this 😁. May our good Lord bless you with more wisdom and good health.
Thank u sir. Is the ancient Thesalonika still bear the same name today ? I am reading the Bible at the moment and I am confused as to the new name of the city if ever there is any.
@levylacambra9510 Yes same city, same place. In Greek, it was always called Thessaloniki (Θεσσαλονίκη). Still is. All other versions you come across, are due to other languages paraphrasing it. Salonique, Thessalonique, Solun, Thessalonika, Salonika, Salonica etc
The Greek city of Thessaloniki never changed its name. It was founded as Thessaloniki (meaning "Victory over the Thessalians") and today is still called Thessaloniki in Greek. All other versions are due to other languages modifying the pronunciation and paraphrasing the name. The way you are pronouncing Thessaloniki, comes from latin (dead language), as if you were calling France, not France but Gallia.
Well done! Thanks for the encouragement
Thanks

Hi Levy, thanks for your comment. The modern town of Thessaloniki in Greece is built on the ruins of ancient Thessalonika. I hope that helps. Dave

That was SOLUN NOT TESSALONIKA
Nobody knows really what “sexual immorality” really means! How I wish if those writers had consulted a psychologist before publishing their letters.
Plenty correct! Always depended on place and time.
