Smigol Time! True! I don't build models or even have much interest but I've watched hours and hours of these videos for the past couple weeks. I can't get past how incredible the work is and how easy he makes it look! I'd love to see a Q and A live stream.

Right? What an asinine comment. Besides the fact that Andy has nothing on David Damek. Andy is a basic modeler, good but not close to the skills David has.
@@dannnichols2595 I know this is late and you probably forgot about this comment, but andy more so builds his models to show new products he has recieved and demonstrate how they go together.
I believe modeling is not just about skill, but rather about a style. Andy has just different and often more simple style. :)

Beautiful and inspiring work. I like your idea of using Tamiya XF-78 Wooden Deck Tan for the base coat to prevent the vehicle from turning out too dark. Your build really has that sun faded look of North African desert armour.

I received a few kits built kits from a work colleague including this one that his father built. I just finished rebuilding a early Tiger and after seeing this video I am inspired to take apart this recon vehicle and rebuilt it in this color scheme. I'll have to order some german cross decals which I can use on the other models as well. Your videos ( or should I say your modeling skills) are give me the inspiration and drive to build all these kits I received from my colleague. Great work David. Always look forward to see what else you're working on!

Very nicely done! A note on your tires, an observation I made as a truck driver on dirt roads, is that the side walls of the tires will get dusty from the dirt, but the surface that contacts the road, doesn't retain much dirt at all. Just enough to give the rubber a little discoloration. And that was from 7 years of driving a truck in the mountains in Colorado. Very dusty and dry in the summer, and slick and icy in the winter!
Same thing for planes too, especially on paved runways, the surface that contacts to pavement stays fairly clean compared to the sides of the tires.
Well I’ll bear that in mind. Just wish I found this comment a few hours sonnet because I ist did pigments on my panzer 2 and lrdg command truck.
what would happen with the tracks of lets say an M1 abrams (I am building one) where would the dust be if its in the desert.

You can also spread it all over the tank (depending on how much you want to weather it.) and then blow the excess off or tap it off. This will give it a dusty coat. Do this before the other steps. Ps. I meant to make it one comment but I accidentally sent it while I was correcting it.

Jonay trust me this is no dark side! In fact I’d say there is not dark side doing anything from planes to even gundam mechs is cool!
Yeah, the Germans always had the best tanks and armour. This is just one of the versions the Germans developed. The armored vehicle that they used the most was the Sd. Kfz. 251 (1). Search it on Google to see how it looks.
