Unlocked this the day of the patch. Got a match where the whole team spawned in 222s, bar the one French guy. Even the one Chinese player was in their 222. BEST MATCH EVER. The sheer chaos of 222s swarming every enemy was hilarious.
OddBawZ, the reason German vehicles stuck with the MG34 after the infantry switched to the MG42 is because of how both guns change their barrels. The MG42 barrel comes out by opening up a pivoting “trap door” sideways, which can take up a lot of real estate in a cramped vehicle. The MG34’s barrel is changed by essentially rolling the receiver slightly and pulling the barrel straight out backwards, which is way easier to do inside a crew compartment.
02:08 You can go right ahead and call it a cuty Panzer, because as a German I can tell you that we basically call every armored military vehicle a Panzer anyway. This is a Panzerspähwagen for example (tank scout vehicle). I was actually very confused when I learned that you don't refer to all military vehicles as tanks in english. Also regarding the nick name, the Sd.Kfz. 222 was build by Horch which later became Audi, so we could call it that.
Calling it a Panzerwagen makes sense, as it is a wagen, and it has panzer, maybe only enough Panzer (armour) to protect from rifle threats, but still Panzer. I wouldn't say Panzer translates to English as tank, but as armour.
From what I remember, Panzer more directly translates to Armour anyway. Therefore, Cutie Panzer is totally accurate, since it's armour could definitely be described as "cute" compared to anything else.
kinda, panzer does translate to tank, most of the time. It was originally the short form of panzerkampfwagen, which means armoured fighting vehicle. Because the word panzer comes from panzerung and that does mean armour. You can modify any word in german by sticking more words on it and changing its meaning that way. for example, wheeled tanks are called radpanzer which literally means wheel tank. And in this case, it's a panzerspähwagen, meaning an armoured scout vehicle. so yes cutie panzer is fine.
@@21Walls Yes, it is an "Gepanzertes Kampffahrzeug", an armoured fighting vehicle, but just calling it "Gepanzert" out of context might cause some confusion. Imagine being at the Tank museum and saying: "Das ist gepanzert" (That is armored). Bit of a broad category.
Fun fact. The reason this vehicle, like other tanks and vehicles from Germany back then, the machine gun was the MG34. Was because barrel changes were not possible with the MG42 (changed from the side of the shroud) the MG34 can be changed by rotating the battery/reciever and pulling the barrel straight back. The more you know

I don't know if someone wrote it already, but the reason Germans used the MG34 in tanks instead of the 42 is that the way you change the barrel in the 42 would require a wider machinge gun port because you pull the barrel out through the side of the gun, while in the 34, you pull it towards you. Therefore using the 34 meant a safer barrel change.
This tank is great. The smoke enables you to evade while driving around rocks and so on and it has almost neutral steering on a wheeled vehicle. Like for real it can turn on the spot and its not even that slow.

Dude this thing killed me 3 times at 6.3 the other day. I kept going back to try kill him haha
You always had the best intros Mr Bawz
i have come to call it "The Collateral" because of the fact tha EVERY game i have seen them in, they rush in, die, then either ragequit from their own stupidity or they spawn in an actual tank lol.
Cutie panzer sounds better than Leichter Panzerspähwagen 😂
Now they just need to up the turret rotation speed on the puma with this 20mm turret
I mean literally panzer just means armour. So you have Pz.Ppfw which is Panzerkampfwagen or Tank for short and Sd.Kfz which meant Sonderkraftfahrzeug or more commonly Leichter Panzerspähwagen or light tank - basically anyway. So anything with some armour and a gun is a panzer.
I guess this thing is best realized as an extremely mobile armored car or an anti-light/anti-SPAA vehicle instead of an actual SPAA. I find the 10 round magazine and constant reloads a massive pain when trying to tell planes to touch the grass. If my burst misses the plane coming straight for me, I'm dead 100% of the time
Pls play the challenger 2e next oddbawz great video by the way
At least the people who missed out on the Sdkfz 234/1 get their own now. Good times (:
Sdkfz in german: Sonderkraftfahrzeug
Oh look, it's Leutnant Gruber's "Little tank", from "Allo, Allo". (The driver's name is Clarence).
6:45 Cutie Panzer wants some wood ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I use this on one map (br 6.0) and it destroys open tops and it also quickly caps points.😊
Now you have to play his slightly less capable Chinese knockoff!
This vehicle is on the Chinese tech tree too; though it doesn't get smoke grenades or HVAP belts.
Puma cub is great, but the 140/1 will always be the 1.0-2.0 GOAT
I propose the name 'Cutie Cart!'
Panzer technically means "Armor": Panzerkampfwagen just means Armored Fighting Vehicle, so technically Cutie Panzer is fine :)
