Looks like I have to change plans…. Whistlindiesel already put a hellcat on a pontoon.
Back to the drawing board. 😂
Seems like your editing got better. Love the channel, stay true without too much sponsoring IMO. People love DIY also because these projects only apply to the country you're at.
Shorter videos could work better for you with a first person view (mic on) like many other channels do.
😳
I wouldn't worry about it. If his ferrari is anything to go by, his'll probably catch fire :)
Twin V6's
Are you going to light each pontoon or each section like a dance floor?
It would look cool if you have them sync to music.
hey zach. you should think about making a jig for your spacing and hole drilling. the results would be exact for all the bracing. could cut down on time too! good luck brother. awesome build!
That's a really good idea!!
Came here to say this. This is the easier way to go! :)
That or just get the front and back, then use a chalk line.
longer vids for sure. i love the detail and instructions on how you actually do it.
Im all for waiting for the longer, more input build videos. I have been following you for long while now. I think I saw you on one of Smcracs videos. I like your energy and your use of different techniques to get the job done. Great content, carry on.
Agreed. I prefer the longer videos. It’s not so choppy that way.
As a side note,,,, all he has to do is work 20 hour days and he could put out a nice long video weekly, NO PROBLEM!! 😂😂. Whatever works best for him ultimately,,,,,,,. I’m interested up in this one the most!! 😊
I can see this is going to be a big hit on your channel. Cant wait to see the finished product.
What a great idea. I love that the pontoons are individual pieces. Being compartmentalized, if one section gets punctured, the rest stays afloat.
I enjoy the longer videos, worth the wait and you see more progress.
In regards to flooring, have you put any thought into using a composite product like Trex decking? I know marine-grade plywood is kind of the go-to, but laying down a composite deck would be cool.
Cool build. Do yourself a favor and make a jig for all those holes. It will be faster and more accurate.
Hope you go over the registration process. Very cool.
I’d use a smaller pilot bit and go through the top of the cross brace and through everything that would mark all the holes at once then just drill out where the actual need the hole.
Longer videos for sure!! Love the pontoon series you do. And all the boat videos!
The longer the better. Love your video's.
You should make a couple of jigs for drilling the holes. Will save a lot of time.
I'm torn. I would put the nuts down. If you lose the nut, the bolt may stay.
Either way, should use some Loc-tite on the threads.
Pontoon boat owner here. This is a very interesting build. A few questions already after watching is...do they offer those toons in black? White will stain im afraid. What is the weight difference when done? And finally, i wish you went with a heavier motor mount. That size boat needs at least a 150hp., trust me.
White would appear to stain. At least with aluminum you can acid wash them and polish which is a lot of work. I'll have to check the website for black versions. They could discolor but not as noticeable.
Very cool the toons have lifting strakes!
Tech tip, when drilling holes in aluminum, it's actually easier to drill a pilot hole with a smaller bit (1/8") and then come back and drill out to the final size. Yes, it seems counter-intuitive to drill twice as many holes but the pilot drill method is actually much easier.
Support Beam: Maybe their design calls for it but you have the nuts on top. If a nut comes off, then the bolt falls out. I would suggest you put the bolts on the top with the nuts below, unless it goes against the design.
I like Longer Videos. Really enjoy your builds. Liked the Pontoon boat with the fire pit.
Great idea. Love the video!
Longer videos!
I love this channel. Very great tips on building a pontoon boat. But as a medical professional when you're drilling these holes, wear some safety goggles. One metal shard into your eyes will of course cause damage. We want you around for a long time. Keep up the fantastic videos.
And working in the bright sun with all those white/shiny surfaces consider tinted/UV protection lenses. Look up snow blindness and UV eye damage.
We love the longer videos
more episodes and longer episodes...love your content!
Nice vid. Dont cut the beam off from the motormount. Just push everything to the front to have more deck space
Longer vids
Great build keep them coming.👍
Definitely longer videos .
You wanna get a chalk line and run it centre all the way down the support beams then ping it. Set your first support beam then; In construction, laying flooring joists' which is the same as you laying the cross beams, if the joists were supposed to be 400mm on centre and we were using 2 inch wide joists (50mm) we'd cut a length of 2x2 (inch) at 400 minus 1 inch = 375 in length, then just butt it up to the first cross member then lay the next cross beam up, and mark on the opposite side, so you dont lose "the centre"
It's late in the uk; 3:28 am, so if this doesn't make sense, that's why :)
Once a week is cool. Always interesting to see what you have going on.
Spooky Ghost @ 14:43
I think the longer videos are better since I can wait a few weeks for a video. I like it more if there ist stuff done in a video and not just a little progress.
Excellent project.
keep the long videos i get stoaked when you come out with another vid.
Looks awesome. Would love to see longer videos, I'd Definitely watch them. Thanks for sharing.
Love watching your channel mate . I think you inspire alot of people and kids to get in there and give things a go. I wish you would maybe wear at least some eye protection when drilling . Kids need to be shown that safety gear is there for a reason.
Looks like such a fun project! Excited to watch the ultimate build! Definitely longer, ASMR or music-overlayed videos of your building is my preference. Thanks for the video!
Your videos are great...The longer the better. Can't wait for the next one.
Please do longer videos! I know the editing is tedious but I really like to chill watching you work :)
Thanks!
PS: Oh, and as others have beat me to it, make some jigs to help you with the drilling after you get the floor on the right spot. I believe it will help a lot!
Wear some eye protection.
Good advice. I learned my lesson when I tore my cornea because I wasn't wearing eye protection a couple of years ago. It took over a year to completely heal and it still gives me problems occasionally.
Keep it comeing love all ur content even when u colab with Sam and others
This is the perfect length, yeah right
I love when you work on pontoon boats! And this one is so cool! Longer videos are cool, but once a week videos are the best!
Awesome to see your parents come out and support you on your build. I love my parents to death but they probably would of talked me out of a project this big lol
I love that design if you knock a hole in one the whole pontoon is not going to fill up with water
very cool content
I'd love to see you a pontoon with one of the hydrofoil kits.
Longer the better!
Great video! hope you are getting sponsored! you are a great spokesperson for a product if someone wants a genuine view of what it takes to use it!
Long vids please
Boat in a box that’s awesome!! You must have been melting in the heat. Lit pontoons!?!? You might have to bring back the lit trailer!!
If all the holes are identically placed for all braces, you might make a jig to eliminate measuring on each crossmember and assuring identical drilling location for all crossmembers. Just a thought. Either way you’re gonna do great on this build I bet.
Another production improvement would be to get a cheap Harbor Freight drill press, set up a stop to set your hole spacing and do all of your cross bracing fabrication at one time. Handle each piece once; that’s the rule.
Longer videos are cool. Love your video's🤓👍
I really like the longer form videos, especially with the pontoon biulds
Awesome!!!!! Love the boat builds! I think longer episodes brother. Wish you had the time to do weekly videos.
Fun build! Can't wait to see more from it. I really enjoy the longer videos. I don't mind waiting for new ones to come out once a week. Thanks for sharing!
Shorter or longer is good either way. It's just super interesting watching everything involved
Awesome. I just couldn’t drill that many holes. That’s too many holes! Hahaha 🤣
What happenes with the yamaha waverunner project?
Following
Yup 😅
todays episode was the perfect length really enjoyable
That's a lotta boat!
This is going to be an awesome build series, can’t wait to see how it turns out.
I’d put some flat washers under at least the nuts. It will spread the force out.
You have cool parents too.
Longer vids. Great job!
I'm all for the longer videos. Don't burn yourself out is all!
Maybe, just maybe you'll actually keep this one though. Can't wait to see what you do with this boat.
I seen that you put the bolts from the bottom and the nuts on the top. I think it should be the other way around. If the nuts ever loosen the bolts will fall out. The other way around is, if the nut loosens the nut will fall out and the bolts will stay in.
Love the concept and I am quite content with your current format!! Good luck with the rest of this awesome build!
Love all your videos man. I would vote consistent. Drop a new vid 6 pm every ____ insert day. Give viewers something to look forward to. Keep up the great content man!!
I’m so glad to see you’re doing another pontoon boat. This one definitely will be my favorite.
Way to go Zach. Like you I am always looking for better products and better methods for my projects. This is gonna be / is one heck of a fun build. Thanks for sharing your hard work my man!
I love your pontoon builds and rebuilds. Can't wait to see your progress, great video!
Really enjoy the content always cool to watch never disappointed. Have a goodnight and stay safe Jimmy from North Attleboro Massachusetts
15:48 stubby drill bit and right angle drill could be you friend to make it easier along with the other suggestion of a alignment jig.
Brilliant design and well made. Have subscribed. Thanks.
Did you buy a complete kit from poontoon Wholesalers, or did u have to figure out every piece you wanted and order it?
Talked with the business owner about what I should use and what the best options are for what I was wanting.
He’s a nice guy and easy to get ahold of

Looks great! 👍
🤔 Always thought a pontoon/ house boat would be nice
50%+ of the year.
That DIY kit looks like a one man job most of the time, (thanks Dad + Mom) ✌️
Would it make sense to build it upside down on a flat garage floor? it would be hard to flip back, but probbaly ok if you pull of the pontoons?
You always come up with the most interesting projects! Thanks for sharing them with us!
Definitely longer episodes.
This one looks like it just might be your best pontoon series yet simply because you're actually building it "ground" up your way, your specs.
I myself would love to build one a quad toon with the outer toons a walk way and one section longer with a cabin in the middle and sun decks for and aft with the stern on bigger than the bow one and a sun deck on top with a aux helm on top forward.
The cabin made to sleep 4 to 6 persons and a small kitchenette.
Twin salt water 4 stroke engines of course.
It would definitely be a Florida Keys sand bar party barge toon.
Lots of led lighting with Coast Guard racing stripe a Veterans emblem over the racing strip to be legal.
Of course a really nice bar on the stern deck.
this is awesome. Make yourself a jig so you don't have to mess around measuring every hole you need to drill, it'll go much faster. I love the longer format, can't wait to see the next video!
This is really cool. I also wanted to thank you for recommending the Eastwood black plastic restorer in one of the golf cart builds. I’ve been using it on my cart and it looks brand new now. It seems to hold up really well too.
Also don't forget to bolt it front to back or back to front for the floor stretch/alignment not all along 1 side or other because material stress wrinkles❤ could save time drilling screwing too
I would LOVE to see how these are made, they must have some big machines to blow them into shape.
The longer the better, really enjoy your videos. I like it because you have a great imagination and I find it fascinating to watch. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing!
This is just what I need!
Nice. Looking forward to this series
Love the longer videos! Looking forward to seeing this build! Good work my man.
Love all your video's long or short, thank you for sharing with us Zach
I always wanted to build a boat
Great series
Longer videos please. This build is going to be the best one you've done yet. Will you show a price breakdown to compare the cost of this to if you bought a prebuilt one. Be cool to see
This is awesome!
Love what you do and the music as always. When bolting the cross beams onto the main beams you might think about putting the bolts on top. That way if a nut comes loose the bold doesn't fall off ;)
Absolutely fascinating video! It's always nice watching someone do something for the first time a day nailing it! I'm hitting the subscribe button now!
Looking forward to this. 👍
I love your boat videos! Make them longer and more often! Lol. Keep up the good work! You are amazing!
So he asks, would you like A or B? And they answer, AB!
If you put a rubber seal between the engine mount and frame, you can isolate the engine vibration away from the floor.
Cool build
Instead of drilling and bolting everything together isn't it possible that you could just tig weld all of that together instead of bolting it. It would make it more secure and sturdy with it being all welded together! those pontoons are very cool modular design is it possible to put 5200 in between each pod to keep them from swaying back and forth?
Looking forward to seeing how this project comes together.
The 20-30 minute videos are 👍🏻. Get to see a good amount of progress in each video, keep up the great work!
Good job man you are better than explain it than somebody on the assembly line thank you very much
Love it!! Keep up the good content
