Coil pack test for any engine with Coil On Plug ignition

THE LOANER - 2003 Honda Accord coupe, 3.0L v-6, 6 speed manual transmission FWD.
As you know from previous video this car is misfiring. This means the combustion of 1 or multiple cylinders is not firing on time (when it is supposed to) or not firing at all. Lots of different issues could cause this. 3 Basic engine systems are involved with this. Fuel system, Ignition system and Mechanical compression system. A few different parts of each of these systems could cause a misfire. Mongo suspect with the age and miles most likely coil packs not working right. So we do basic coil pack test to confirm this theory.
BASIC COIL PACK TEST.
NOTE: when doing this do not leave your coils disconnected very long and only do 1 at a time.
While the engine is Idling Mongo disconnect 1 coil pack low voltage connector at a time and listen to the engine noise while feeling the engine vibration. If the noise and vibration change when the coil pack is disconnected then the coil pack is working. If the engine noise and vibration does NOT change then the coil pack is not working.
The rule is - If 1 pack fails this test at idle then replace ALL the coil packs.
Reason 1 being as RPM increases and torque output increases the BMEP of the combustion chamber will increase which causes more strain on the coil packs which can cause a misfire from a weak coil pack at higher RPM or torque loads.
Reason 2 being if 1 pack died the others area most likely close behind it because they were most likely manufactured at the same time and most likely die around the same time.
There are more in depth tests, this is just basic.
This test can be done on any engine with a coil on plug system that has access to the low voltage connector of the coil pack. just do it quick like shown. It is VERY EASY!
