    Thanks for your videos! I found you after my 3200 arrived and I had no idea had to use it. You got me over the hump and I’ve spent the last month turning my garden into sauces and making homemade popsicles, hummus and other stuff. Really enjoying how fast and easy it is and slowly exploring your other content. Thanks again!

    This was great to watch. I've had mine for a year or so and really only used the grating slicing blades and the large bowl. The only thing I don't like is that when using the small bowl food can go into the other bowls. Seeing your demonstration has made me more confident to use it 🙂

    Thank you for this wonderful review! I work in an electric appliances store and I sell these Magimixes. Often customers ask me different questions about the use of these food processors in the preparation of different recipes. And I don't always know the answer because I don't use a food processor at home myself. So in your video, I found some tips, that will help me better deal with these questions that sometimes baffle me 😅

    Great video - it’s good to see trial and error honest reviews. It takes a little time then to figure out the idiosyncrasies of this model. I was going to buy the Kenwood 4000 XL, got as far as standing at the till with the sales assistant and my son said it was too big - I am very glad I went with this instead- largely because it is made in Europe in France 🇫🇷 and parts should be easy to get and for the 30 year motor guarantee!

I tried to make almond butter using exactly the same method in the large bowl and it took way more than 20 minutes! A good machine but I've not bothered to use it again for nut butter.

    • @TheFromScratchBody

      Thank you for your comment Henry! That’s very curious… Do you roast them and how long for? You can actually see in my follow up video to this one (“Magimix 4200 2 months in”) - that I test almond butter in the big bowl, and it takes me about 3 minutes. I don’t really have a good guess for you as to why it’s not working… It could be the brand of nuts, maybe for some reason they contain less natural oil? I’m really just guessing here, but hope you figure it out - if nut butter is something you’d like to make in it, it’s a shame that it takes so long!

    I bought this model last year and really like it.
    But PSA! I made nut butter in the small bowl and probably didn't let it cool enough throughout the process. It actually melted some plastic on the main camshaft (or what the part is called where you attach the blade to) and I had to send it in! So be careful when making nut butter. Maybe better in the big bowl

      Oh, dear. 😱 I wouldn't make nut butters in my Magimix because I have a Vitamix; however, if your nuts are too warm, you can even warp its container. I guess it bears mentioning that if you feel the need to toast your nuts first, make sure they're completely cool before blending. I'm not saying that's what happened to you (in fact, I doubt it did) but it's something to keep in mind.

    • @TheFromScratchBody
      @TheFromScratchBody  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, yes it’s one of the only (if not THE only) slightly annoying things for me with this. However it’s only really with very runny stuff that this happens (a bit of splash, basically), and it doesn’t add tons of clean up so I personally wouldn’t consider it a deal breaker. For example, one of the things I use the small bowl for the most is mayonnaise, and I don’t have that spill over (unless I mess the mayo up and it goes runny 😂). Basically, depends on how annoying you find cleaning up!
      If you are mostly doing small quantities, perhaps a blender would be better? The Magimix blenders are great as you can add stuff while it’s running just like with a food processor. I guess it depends what you will use it for the most! 💕

      Hi Kathy, cost I think depends on where in the world you live, but in the UK the 4200xl is currently £340 (you can get a 10% discount if you're in the UK - check the link in the description of the video and use my discount code!). You can't peel potatoes with it as far as I know, you can only slice or grate them. Or cut them up of course, in the regular food processor! It does come with a selection of disks, as you will see in this video. You can get them from Magimix's own website - check the one for your country!

      @TheFromScratchBody  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you, glad you like it! Yes, I am pretty confident that it can handle frozen fruits brilliantly - maybe don't do a huge batch in one go but add a bit at a time to give it a chance to work if you're doing a big batch! But you should be good to go for frozen stuff, it's pretty sturdy!

      Hi Dawn Marie, yes I do remember looking at the Ninja quite a bit and going between them... If I remember correctly, what made me choose the MagiMix were the different bowls and considering what I'd be using it for. I already have a blender (VonShef), so that part of it was less important to me. It's really tough to make these decisions! I guess it mainly comes down to what you think you'll use it for most and which one corresponds best to that. Liv x

      Hi, the midi bowl is used with disks (slicing/grating etc), so you’d do purées with the small or large bowls! Both of those work great for purée.

    • @TheFromScratchBody
      @TheFromScratchBody  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes in a sense - you place the medium and/or the small bowls inside the big (the big one always has to go on the base) but that doesn't mean you have to actually use the big one. As long as nothing drips into it (which you will see in my video can happen at times), the big bowl will stay clean!

      I can’t say for sure as I’ve only tried this one - but it really depends on what you’re wanting to make in it!
