@masterpiece Arms have you used the original kestrel? I mean the first years they were around? I learned from the master of the kestrel but only on the first couple of generations of kestrel. How are you liking the newest versions? I need to pick another one up.
I am trying to decide between the Hornady 4DOF or Applied Ballistics. I imagine they are 99% the same except for how Hornady adds their 4 DOF or Applied Ballistics version of how they do the similar type calculation.Who's is better? We may never know ! LOL
it's good for everything, just get a model that doesn't include ballistics if you dont want it for gun stuff. They are used by environmental scientists, hikers, mountaineers etc. Very good devices

Well, the Elite is a bit pricey for me.
So, if I only want to give in the distance, is there a Kestrel which shows me E and W and I´m good to go?
