I enjoy watching you work... and explaining things . My favorite colors that I have are from Annie Sloan , and I love love the color you chose for the tea pot can't remember the name. All the projects were terrific, but teapot was so sweet! Thank you Emily
I really enjoyed seeing all your upcycles today. My fave were the vintage utensils on the cutting boards although I also enjoyed seeing the second options you created, too. -Sarah
Hello Emily,,in my humble opinion you are extraordinary, I love the tea kettle because I am a tea drinker..Emily you did a fantastic redo on each piece.
I love everything! Try using baby wipes instead of dry napkins. It works better, if you happen to go heavier on the wax next time. Tons of great ideas here! I love the crackle media! I think I want to try it now. Thanks for sharing.
As soon as I saw that color on that teakettle I had to order it, I love blue and I have an old coffee pot I want to try that on, yours turned out great with the transfers. The cutting boards were really cute, great ideas for those!
Great projects, love that they are treasures from your mom. Was most excited to see the silver and wood tray. I have a few of those frames, and now I want to get them upcycled!
Fourth video, new subscriber. Love how the painted server came out. I have some, been wanting to try it. Love the variety of the chopping boards, with the hanging hardware for a bunch of different looks, cute.
I thought the board with the juicer was a little "bland." Loved how you added a little more character to it on the second pass. The teapot came out beautiful--I love the color.
Hi! New to your channel. I love these DIY's!! The kettle is beautiful, love the color! I really like the tray, it makes a really pretty riser to use in a cabinet or alone as a tray to coral a vignette, i like the versatility of it! And the last 2 pieces i love, they are so cute! I love antiques, vintage, primitive.. anything old. It would also look good if the pieces were rusted, they would look primitive! I did get some inspiration from these last 2, as i have lots of pieces i can make something like this with.. definitely getting some crackle paint and try it out! I have lots of kitchy items and I have a clip and a vintage post card I think would be cute, so i think I'll give those a try😊 Thanks for sharing & the inspiration!!
Hi Tammy! I'm so glad you enjoyed these projects!! You're right - the rusty pieces would look AWESOME! I'm glad you have items that you can create your own with 🤍🤍
Thank you! I just made sure I cleaned the kettle really well first and after my first coat of chalk paint made sure it was completely dry before adding a second coat. I could have sprayed it with a clear spray before I started but wanted to see how well the paint would adhere it is worked perfectly ☺️
For the kettle - Is that DB silk line or just their regular chalk paint? You didn’t have to prep it with anything for the paint to adhere well? Asking because I have a kettle as well that I’d like to do. Love your results on all.
Hi! I used regular DB chalk paint. I made sure to clean it really well and let it dry but I didn't do anything else before painting. I almost sprayed it with a clear matte spray to start but decided to see how the paint would adhere and it was perfect! Just make sure your first coat of paint is thoroughly dry before adding a second coat ☺️
The one that I did had some wear on the inside, so I wouldn't use it for liquid just as decor. But I do not think you'd be able to use it after - I don't think the paint/sealer would withstand the heat well. But I have not tried it.
My favorite flip was the silver server remade into a riser. I want to make one for myself now!
Yay! Happy crafting ☺️🤍
To think of one way to makeover a piece is human; two ways is divine.
Thank you Gina ☺️🤍
Love all your flips!
I love the silver riser with the wood round. I see these all the time without the lid in thrift stores. What a good idea to make a riser.
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it! 😄

Thank you Emily

Loved your projects!!! I decided to subscribe! Same question as another…why were you able to paint the kettle with no prep??
Thank you! I just made sure I cleaned the kettle really well first and after my first coat of chalk paint made sure it was completely dry before adding a second coat. I could have sprayed it with a clear spray before I started but wanted to see how well the paint would adhere it is worked perfectly ☺️

I almost sprayed it with a clear matte spray to start but decided to see how the paint would adhere and it was perfect! Just make sure your first coat of paint is thoroughly dry before adding a second coat ☺️
My question is when you’re done with the teapot can you still use it?
The one that I did had some wear on the inside, so I wouldn't use it for liquid just as decor. But I do not think you'd be able to use it after - I don't think the paint/sealer would withstand the heat well. But I have not tried it.
Have you seen videos of dixie bell unethical practices? 😢
Loved your projects today.
No ..... 😔 But I'm glad you enjoyed the projects!
The items were cute. Not my style
Hi Judy! I'm glad you enjoyed them even though not your style ☺️
