I had 2 redesign bird tranfers that did this to me once. I've used hundreds of redesign transfers. I guess it just happens sometimes

Before you finished the plaques I thought this will be my favorite tonight! The waxes made the colors so rich and beautiful. When you were half way through the birdhouse project, I thought maybe this is my favorite! It really is beautiful too. You do such amazing work that it is always hard to choose a favorite.

This round table is absolutely gorgeous! I have found that if my transfers don’t stick onto my project, I take either my hair dryer or heat gun and warm the transfer while it’s on my piece and that works really well. Obviously, I’m careful not to melt the plastic sheet, but the heat helps to release the design.

I am always amazed when people get transfers to stick on unsealed paint, I NEVER can!!!!! The projects are adorable and you give big attention to little things which makes them perfect!
Thank you so much! I think sometimes I create my own problems haha. I am pretty sure sanding my pieces doesn't always "help". :) And I honestly think some of it has to do with the individual color of paint and the pigments they use in them. Just a theory, though!! :)

Rachel, that little table that gave you fits was my hands down favorite. Sorry it gave you fits but loved the transfers on the 2nd go around. Each of your projects were just incredible. The medallions looked so good with their new paint and aging and the birdhouse was just so stinking cute! If I were a bird, I would be proud to live there. Hope your Sat nursery opening goes great for you. I can't imagine that it wouldn't given your talents. Seeing the time you uploaded this video, did you get any sleep last night? All the projects were lovely. I know you & many other creators/artists don't seal before you add the transfer, but I'm glad you shared this process as this might be the reason that particular transfer didn't adhere...who knows but it's good to know & show so others can learn & decide for themselves if they want to take that extra step & seal the paint before applying the transfer. For me I'd probably seal it cause those transfers are not cheap & I'd hate to loose one just because I was impatient (which I TOTALLY am LOL). Hope your spring sale goes well this weekend for you

Love these DIYs. The table turned out gorgeous. I'm totally in love with the birdhouse. Those 1st pieces are stunning. I'm in garden mode and want to update some stepping stones. I think I can do something like you did on the 1st set to beautify my garden stones. I will definitely be sealing them. Love your channel! You give me inspiration to update my stuff.

That table is the bomb! I had trouble with a transfer last week. So frustrating! I was trying to apply to bare wood, though. No bueno.

Oh, I'm so new. I have that same pedestal table and it's covered in Citristrip right now looking a hot mess. I wish I had just painted over it 😅 #still learning
Lol! That is the beautiful thing about the DIY paint - it is made to stick to just about anything without any prep work. :) At least you'll know for next time!
I also have a little round 3-legged table, and I had trouble trying to decoupage paper on it. After I decoupaged the paper down, and set it aside to dry, when I came back to it, the paper was all bubbled up. I was really frustrated.
That is frustrating! I wish things could always go the way I think they should in my head, but somehow that rarely seems to be the case, lol!!
I’m going to try the black transfers outside. Think they will look time worn and faded as opposed to the colour transfers that just bleach out and look weird when used outside. Even when top coated.

Honestly I wonder that, too. I had the same issue with a table just like it last year that I had painted with Aviary, and usually I don't have so much trouble applying the transfers to unsealed paint . . .
