Missing my 09 Corolla LE. Recently got totaled "( Bought it brand new in July 2008. The car had almost 280k miles before getting rear-ended. I can count with one hand only major parts that I replaced. Alternator (bad bearing), water pump, struts (F)-shocks (R), and Mass Airflow sensor. These cars are dependable and will last forever with routine maintenance. Before my 09, I had an 89 Corolla SR5, the car was awesome to drive with the retractable headlights. I guess it's time for another Corolla, for now, I'm driving my 97 Camry until I get a new Corolla or Camry.
If youngies, students, oldies, battlers, want a good, honest car, my Corolla (2007, Dec. in Australia) like this, is a guide. It has no bad points, is good or satisfactory, has only 111,000 Kms now ( low usage) and has not cost one extra cent.., goes as new, and is great daily transportation, even in journeys, a few, of over 500 kms. Honest car, durable, reliable, quite comfy and easy in every area of usage. It is the "right size".
@@Dannybird1 it was already at 118,000 miles but it still works great. I'd definitely recommend it as something reliable if you don't care about flexing
I also got this as my very first car. I love it even more today. I’ve had this vehicle for 11 years and it’s still going strong. I’ve done nothing to it except for coolant replacement, oil change, and tube changes. Only problem is my tire pressure light constantly stays on. I will never trade this car in for nothing. Most reliable vehicle I own.
Hi, yes this Toyota Corolla does come with a keyless entry. The reason why your Toyota Corolla does not have keyless entry is because it was an option for the car. The keyless entry option was $245.
You did a really great job on this video, it was very informative! Thank you! I had really been considering getting this as my first car, you're video made my decision a little bit easier :)
Just bought this car 2 days ago I had to come back to the dealer so they could detail it since i didnt have enough time to do it saturday. This is the best car i ever bought.
If you go into the driver seat of the car and look down at the floor of the car, right in front of the seat to the left you will see 2 latches, one has a picture of a car with the trunk open and one with a picture of a gas pump. You pull the gas pump latch up and it opens. Then you push in on the gas cap and turn left and it opens. :) Im sorry I didn't put this in the video, I hope this helps you. :)
One thing i hate about them is the stereo system. Terrible sound qualify. If you can get on for cheap enough and change the speakers and maybe put in a new deck it be worth it. Everything else about the car is good. Gas mileage is amazing. For a big guy like me 6'2 200 pounds it feels a little uncomfortable. Added traction control is a plus.
This car is reliable but has the most uncomfortable seats with terrible A/C & gets only 16 mpg in the city, and has very less leg room for back passengers. I prefer the 2012 Cruze but the Cruze just gave up on me at around 130k km.
I love the performance and chasi of the car. But I hate the dashboards and the cockpit is so plastic and fragile my Aux port is broken and I cannot plug a Bluetooth adapter because the connection is inside a tiny box
Thank you for the video! I found one of these abandoned near the south border of Texas the other day. It seemed to have blood residue and some kind of smell.. almost like there's 22 pounds of cocaine hidden somewhere within the car. Either way it drives fine after some cleaning! A great car considering I found it for free!
Hyundai are terrible quality cars brother. In terms of reliability I would go with any Toyota brand car anyday. It's most deff more bang for your buck and will last a lifetime.
hey bro, the only thing I ask was how do you put a 2009 Camry LE in overdrive. that is when your video popped up, and you covered everything pretty efficiently except how the overdrive turns on.
Overdrive turns on when you shift it into Drive because it'll go up to 5th gear which is overdrive gear, if you put it in 4 it'll only go to 4th gear and so on. Hope this helps!
my parents used a grey version of that car as a rental car for a while since their 1997 chevy tahoe's rear got smashed from a drunk driver back in late 2010 and early 2011.
now i'm not sure what you did exactly when you turned on the car, but just a small advice, Corolla 2009 has automatic ignition, unlike old cars, you just have to hit the start (with the key) for 1 second only, it would end up causing problems!
+Tarek kachakech I always turn it for one second now. When I made this video, I wasn't even old enough to drive so I didn't know I could turn the key for one second.
Question... what is the inside panel of the door actually called? Asking because I need to get both side fixed and I don't know the proper name of it. And I'm looking for DYI's if possible 😏.
Great vid.. im atually considering a 2009 toyota corolla le for a first car now but im in between a 2006-2007 honda civic models so what car would b betta? In ur opinion. Cuz mi fam Is sayin honda civic
jasmine fleming I have a Corolla myself, and I love it! The Honda Civic and the Toyota Corolla are pretty much equally phenomenal cars. I researched the prices you would probably end up paying for each of the cars you are looking at. A 2006 Honda Civic would cost you about $7,740 and a 2009 Corolla would cost you about $10,380. Yes the Corolla in this case is more expensive, but you will most likely get lower miles because the car is newer. Comparing the two, they are both great cars; The Civic gets slightly better gas mileage with 34 MPG and the Corolla gets 31 MPG, which really isn't too much different. Both cars are very safe and very reliable. The Honda Civic also has more technology to play with in the car whereas the Corolla is pretty basic. In my opinion, I would get the Corolla because it's a newer car, and chances are it's going to have lower mileage than the 2006 Honda Civic. With the Civic, it's a great price and it's still a great car even for the age, you really can't go wrong with it. Honda is a great manufacture but so is Toyota. I hope this helped you and if you have anymore questions, I will be happy to answer them for you. The Civic and Corolla are great first cars!
awww thanxx for all the good information. personally i jus wanted the 2006 honda civic because u can find em for bout 6,00 to almost 8,000 dollars so yes the price is ricee but im lik the honda civic seems kinda low to the ground. n also imma b drive to another state occassionally lik on weekends to see friends n fam so which is bout almost 2 hrs so which one would b goood as in travelin? n yes i agree the corolla will b alil bit moree but im kinda likin it more cuz its newer n i dnt wanna have to many problems wit it being my first car u know.
jasmine fleming You're welcome! Both cars are great for travelling! My daily driver is a Corolla and I love it, I've never driven a Honda Civic but I do know by reading reviews on the 2 cars that they are very similar. They are both very spacious and practical cars. The trunks are large and can easily fit about 3 large suitcases. Plus you can fold down the seats too. They are both very reliable, however with the Corolla in your situation, will probably have less problems because of the the lower mileage and a newer year. However the 2006 Honda Civic will most likely not have many problems, and if it does have problems, they will most likely not be severe. My mom has a 2005 Toyota Highlander and it has 80,000 miles on it. It has some problems, but they are problems you can expect from a car that age. Both the Corolla and the Civic have a smooth ride and they are very comfortable for long drives. The wind noise doesn't intrude inside either. I personally would recommend the Corolla if you don't mind spending the extra money. But the Civic doesn't slack either. They are both awesome everyday drivers.

It's nothing to worry about. You will receive a letter from Toyota saying that there is a recall for your 2009 Toyota Corolla. All you do is bring it to a dealership and they will fix the problem with no charge. You will hear about the recall very quickly. Also, every car manufacture has recalls. For the problem with the brakes, car noise, and gas pedal, chances are, that won't happen. My family all love our Corollas and we haven't had any problems with them, the 2009 hasn't had problems either. Also, before you buy any car, tell the person you are buying it from to run a Carfax report and a recall search so you aren't receiving a flawed car. Those past recalls on those Corollas have been fix, there really isn't a worry about it having that problem.
