Great I have been scratching my head on how to remove the dash on my 68 GTO Manual down here in New Zealand not much information on GTO's down here my thanks have a problem with the ignition switch, I think. Replaced the Mallory ignition system with a new one still no spark changed coils took one out of my 70 Firebird still zip no power at the fuse box got to be the Ignition switch thanks again Jimmy.
Yeah, I realized that I didn't really show that. But it just pops out. There's on metal prong on the driver's side, then 3 above the radio/glove box, and 1 on the far passenger side. Just pull it towards you. I believe I'm remembering correctly :)
No, not too easy. But I’d read enough horror stories about “removing the whole dash” that it wasn’t as bad as I thought. I am planning to do as much in there as I can in there so I don’t have to do it again 😂
I’m tearing down a 68 Lemans Convertible and your videos have helped me greatly.
Nice! Glad I could help!
Thank you for the video...as a Canadian...these Pontiac Dashboards were also used in the Beaumont cars up north...very helpful.
@@gmpurist6745 Thanks! Yep, Beaumonts too!
Awesome video on how to remove the instrument panel on a Pontiac Lemans or Tempest!!! That is awesome!!!
Thanks much! I hate when I can’t find a video I need… but hopefully it helps the next guy or girl

Thanks! That’s why I made it - couldn’t figure it and there were no videos.
Got a 67 Buick gs and this helps. Thanks.
Awesome! That's why I made it. Needed something like it :)
Excellent video and thanks so much for sharing! Working on a '68 GTO, how does the dash pad come out?

PS how do you get the ignition switch out?
If you look at my previous video “Interior Rewiring on my 68 Pontiac” I do all the switches in that one.
