Good video, don't know if anyone else noticed, but the car being disassembled appears to be a "66". See 1:30 in video, the "66" & "67" had different grills. In my younger days I owned a "66" Tempest Custom with the Sprint engine. To this it's still the highest top and of any car I have ever owned. Wish I had it back, loved it.
My first car was a '66 LeMans, 326 with 3 on the tree. Paid $50 for it in 1974. Had rusty rear quarters but other than that, it was in pretty good shape.
I have a 69 tempest that my dad gave me before he passed away when I was 16 years old in 46 now and when I retire I’m going to do a frame off restore with my son and gift him with it for a college graduation present.
Because he is a loud mouth a hole that will cut in front of you inline , take up 2 parking spaces , illegal park on the sidewalk in front of the muscle head gym because he can't walk across the parking lot. Remember, he is playing to a certain portion of the muscle car demographic. Want to see a real car guy in action? Have a look at the channel " House of Muscle " done by Mike Musto.

I have a 72 Buick GS 350 convertible I used up. I am 2nd owner since 76 and just wore it out. 196,000 miles and needs a full frame off restoration. All original with matching numbers. Need help in Florida to bring back to life.
Why does that 351-C mach 1 have a windsor hood scoop? i used to have '69 351 Windsor mach 1 4sp, so I was always jealous of the cleveland shaker hood scoop. I can't believe I sold that car!!!!
The format is a little annoying , with the shouting an all. But I must admit this guy provides some interesting ideas for improving the frame and suspension in a economical way. well done sir , well done ! 😎
My moms car in high school was a 67 Pontiac tempest... That is until she started dating my dad and he wrecked it... Then he bought her a 69' charger and yep you guessed it he wrecked it... lol... there was one more car that he bought for her and wrecked... An AMC Pacer ha ha ha... that one almost killed him.... Then he wrecked my brothers 70 thunderbird while he was in basic training.... I would never let him drive (and still won't) anything I own... My mom did pay him back once he had beautiful 72' chevy short bed truck that my mom let burn to the ground when it caught on fire in the driveway..
i can see it now...car will be lowered..and they will put on big , ugly ass wheels on it..and no vinyl roof ,,at least it wont be all junked up with the typical LS swap ...this video is probably around 15 or so years old
I have a 66 GTO CONVERTIBLE. HALF restored. Cameo ivory. 38 years in storage. Fyi Pontiacs never had numbers matching. In other words the VIN of the vehicle was never stamped on the motor, transmission or rear end. More information for you people that don't know about Pontiacs, 64 and 65 the gto was an option on the tempest lemans. Gto was not its own model until 66. This guy doesn't know
Look into renting a garage! I lucked into a 2 car garage with free electricity $50 a month & on top of that I had the coolest landlord who would let me slide for months at a time and then I would give him a couple hundred here an there! I had that garage for years and unfortunately I have up on it but either way they're out there! Good luck!
A mach 1 would be museum artifact soon, your gtr will probably end up in pieces, for sale the rest of its life if not scrapped and turned into phone parts.
also ...that 70 mach 1 was nice..but yuk on those big , ugly ass wheels...not a fan at all of this fad of big wheels...yuk to all of it ,,car needs magnum 5's or other factory stock wheels..even torque thrusts would be nice
Breaking out the glass: DUMB !!!! Now shards are all over the interior and in the defroster ducts. But then again, he is playing to 12 year olds that smoke filterless Cammels and drink Thunderbird.

Man, the Lou era of MC was the greatest.
I love this!! I know it's old, but DAMN they did a great job on that frame!!!
Great tear down so far!!
I dont think anybody asked why he would restore a le mans, I dont even want a gto clone the le mans is an amazing car in itself, fully worth restoring
AFX Gaming Thank you. Nothing wrong with a LeMans. So tired of clones.
One of the best channels on TH-cam. Great video guys.
That was good. I’m doin a resto but I’m all done underneath. it never occurred to me to fill all holes in the frame though. Cool idea

My son asked, "dad, why is the man shouting?" Sorry son that how they used to do back in the days of TV.
I have an intern I should show this video to - the kid talks so low you can't hear a goddam thing he's saying.
Maybe your interns dad is Boomhauer ?
April 1st week build out of the Baltimore plant 235 is interior trim K2 is Turquoise Poly with Black Vinyl top. Code G could be a long console auto.
I have a 69 tempest that my dad gave me before he passed away when I was 16 years old in 46 now and when I retire I’m going to do a frame off restore with my son and gift him with it for a college graduation present.

Ya gotta love Lou and his way with cars. ^_^

I like the plated lower A arm , but hate lowered cars. Any tricks for the upper arm?
Amazing work on the a-arms but why not just buy drop spindles ?
What time is it in powernationland¿

I love Home and Away.
Badass build, 66 abody im working on
Get a custom plate that reads. 'nogoat"
Cool. Just cool.
The format is a little annoying , with the shouting an all.
But I must admit this guy provides some interesting ideas for improving the frame and suspension in a economical way.

Modifying a 71 Chevelle wagon for drifting the frame upgrade suggestion will help greatly
Old skool tricks
Will these frame fixes work on my 1966 442 tri power?
Love it!
How did heating the frame to stretch it not weaken it?
Good work! You guys should do a Buick Skylark sedan with a vinyl top... I might know someone who has one.

Why is body on Frame easier to restore then unibody cars? Or is it not?
Well lets hope the took the rest of the trim, glass, blower motor, etc off before they blast it
Anybody know what size steel stock used to lift body
i can see it now...car will be lowered..and they will put on big , ugly ass wheels on it..and no vinyl roof ,,at least it wont be all junked up with the typical LS swap ...this video is probably around 15 or so years old
Haters gonna hate, ballers gonna ball. It's life.

I have a 68 tempest gto clone that you just made worth less because I have a stock frame.
Hey PAULEY
In the 70s guys sold new data plates at many car shows..
hy dude why dont u pic stock horns comes with car factory fit very car has its signiture horn sound its sounds good when car is ready
how many hours do you have in the framework alone ????
why not use paint n rust strip discs instead of flap disc to clean the frame up? Stripping discs don't remove any metal.
It has a 66 front end on it
I love that Mach 1 guys. But it wouldn’t be able to keep up with my Litchfield tuned R35.
The GT-R looks like a clothes iron lol.
well my uncle's neighbor knows a guy with a twin turbo Viper than can beat your GTR what now
A mach 1 would be museum artifact soon, your gtr will probably end up in pieces, for sale the rest of its life if not scrapped and turned into phone parts.
Have fun in you're overpriced plastic Nissan girl.
Feel free to all this work to my 67 impala for me🇺🇲
I like Tommy but I miss Lou.
Too bad they aren't keeping it original.
Power what ur a late at
When will you due a 1969 C10. The twist making it 4X4 with a 6 inch lift
What is the purpose Of The holes
also ...that 70 mach 1 was nice..but yuk on those big , ugly ass wheels...not a fan at all of this fad of big wheels...yuk to all of it ,,car needs magnum 5's or other factory stock wheels..even torque thrusts would be nice
18'' Magnum 5 replicas would look cool indeed.
@Larry Niles Exactly mate
As a dude that used to make his living repairing frame damage that "pulling" is cringe worthy...
What happened to Lou we need him back
Anybody can get that data plate made.... to bad it’s not with in the vin
350 HP for 1967 400 cu in base engine
Starts video wE bUiLdInG nUmBeRs MaTcHiNg CaR half way through video boxes frame for stroker motor we are gonna add heavily then modifies control arm
Heating frame rails is a last resort.
That's a 1966.
40 years old huh. Nice maths :P
Math seems fine. The show is from the mid 2000s.
Well why WOULDN'T you restore a.67 LeMans?
Air impact with no safety glasses, not good.
Minute 4 second 10 ^53years old
Well, as the episode is more than 10 years old...
I just don't understand why you can't remove glass in the normal fashion...screw cloning..they tried it with sheep...lol
Dude's laying it on a bit thick.
Lou is man
Myra 😂😂😂😂😂
Breaking out the glass: DUMB !!!! Now shards are all over the interior and in the defroster ducts. But then again, he is playing to 12 year olds that smoke filterless Cammels and drink Thunderbird.
40 years old? More like 54
That episode is almost ancient, by now.
This episode was aired in 2007
Y'all wanna cry about dates and ages mentioned, maybe you should pay attention to the copyright tag at the end of the episode.....
@@basshead. I'm wondering what happened to the Lemans they've built.
🤔
Heating a frame is old school, no no. Take it to a frame shape and do it correctly. IMO
Can't STAND Lou!
He's like HPV
But they didn’t say how to lower the rear...
That announcer trying so hard to sound excited but ends up sounding stupid.
Why he does that goofy voice is beyond me.

Lou seems like he might be difficult to work with.
Nah. Seems like a real gear head. Better than Cajun dude and the others. Pat and Mike seem ok.
This episode is old, Lou left muscle car (the name when show started in 2006) in 2008 did his own thing for couple years. Has been on Car Fix on Velocity for 7 years now. He is actually a real cool guy..

Nothing worse than a big mouth
I dont think this guy works at a legit auto shop. lol. You go to this guy when you suddenly acquire a car by classified means if ya know what I mean.
Smashing that windshield had to be one of the dumbest things I ever seen....
It was broken. Should they have tried to save it after it cracked?
