For better or worse. I've added to my "fleet" of 60's muscle cars. Two days ago I bought a totally restored 1967 Mercury Cougar. It has a two tone paint job. And the bottom is the same sliver color as the GTO in this video. The top part is Jet Black. It has some Shelby style of rims and a thumpy radio. And not that it matters to much it's a numbers matching engine and trans. But the best part is it's got a AC system that blows Really cold. And living in the South like I do that was a must have when I was looking for something else. 6=8.
@@br549200 The guy that I bought it from said he put in led bulbs. As for the rest being the factory system. I might want give him a call to check that out. I put some sequential taillights in my 67 Mustang with Orange and Red lenses. Just to be different I guess.
@@lilorbielilorbie2496 “sixties era electronics” for the sequential turn signals are located in several areas of the car and can be a nightmare when they start to malfunction. I had a 68 cougar and fortunately the system worked fine.
I work by myself as well so you have to think outside the box to accomplish tasks. Power probe ftw! That wiring is 50yrs never trust it. I work on cars and planes it amazes me the wiring butcher jobs I see. Enjoyed the content.
Man Lucky, you got so close to hitting a home run on this project. I really wish that you could have finished it up as expected. 😢 knowing now that by being squeezed into you already overbooked schedule with the TV show , I wouldn’t have pushed to have you get it in the shop, and shoot me out with so many loose ends. My first resto, still not completed. 😢
After seeing you use the power probe on another car I bought one, haven’t used it yet but can see it’s a very handy tool. Is it completely foolproof or can you short circuit things if you’re not careful?
The car is still awaiting the final dash wiring that was in the initial estimate, know that you’re a busy guy, lots of more important jobs besides mine. But let’s finish the scope of work that was agreed upon. 🥴
