I enjoy you showing off these tools, so many time I see tools on AliExpress, and there's almost no information on them (sometimes not even a photo) so it's nice to learn more about them. Great video as always Roy, have a good one brother 😁👍🏻
Yes I've noticed that sometimes they don't even show the full picture. It's like they are hiding the tipof the tool as if to stop you copying it and making your own..... Hang on I think they are on to you Rook Knight. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 This tool works quite well, it's a bit... how do I say... sloppy! But it does actually work. I reckon with some tweaking it could be improved quite a bit. If you see in the video I have to rotate the knob quite a bit, that's because of the amount of movement the tip has in the keyway. Cheers good sir 😉👍
Well done on this almost review 😂 Looks very usable, but I always dislike that those will only fit certain keyways... Still, they can be very effective at times, I guess! Thanks for sharing this!
They do fit quite a lot of keyways partly because it is only imitating part of a key blade. With some tweaking this tool could be made to work better. i guess there is a possibility to take blank keys from different keyways and possibly make them fit this tool. Thanks for commenting on my ALMOST a review video 🤣
@roysammons2445 Yeah, I agree with that, you said. I'm used to many devices like your and other tools, too . Many times it's have potential. I have two China's decoders for MTL. One from them have exclusive needle 🪡 homemade but hi quality. So this tool is one of the best now 🤔 all over. Thank you for your work 👍👍👍✔️☮️🌎🔓
😂😂😂😂 It wasn't intended to be a review video and it isn't but after I watched the video back it just fell short of a review 😂😂😂😂😂😂 if you get my drift.... 😉👍
I looked for it on Aliexpress last night but it's not there now. I purchased this a while back but expect it to come back at some point. With some tweaking this could be a half decent tool. Cheers Chris 😉👍
May not be a review, but I’d say it is an endorsement. If it came with interchangeable keyway tips for a variety of common locks it would be a great tool
The one it has is the most common one, the AB keyway. I believe this is the most common one and fits a huge amount of keyways. Although a couple of more tips to fit the other two common keyways would be cool too. 🙂👍
Would not get one myself. If I was going to use one kf those locks though....I would want drill protection and mickey mouse protection. Good to see it has anti pick protection
Latham's have vamped up their range of locks. They full then with security pins now and add features in the plug. These locks are great training locks and not bad. They are even not bad as a demo lock for these tools 😂. Cheers BD90 for dropping in.
I think there are 3 common dimple keyway then some weird ones. If they covered those the that would be good. The main issue with this tool is the amount of travel the pick has. When I'm picking I have to turn the know quite a lot, that's why it's not precise. Cheers Paul 🙂👍 (Hoping to do a video this week for your giveaway).
I reckon it's about the same to be honest. Although I had more control with the Multipick tools. This tool suffered from too much slop with the picking tip. You can see that in the video because I have to turn that knob a lot to get the tip to engage the pins fully. The picking tip has far too much movement in the keyway. Cheers Tinnie 🙂👍
I have been back on Aliexpress and can't see it there now. I bought this a while back and have found that items vanish of these Chinese sites then come back again. They even sometimes make the rounds on each of them. I can only suggest you keep checking. I will do the same and if I spot that is back in stock I'll post it on my community page. Thanks for the kind words and for watching the video 🙂👍
It fits all the AB keyway. I think the keyway are defined by A, B and C out something like that. The blade on this tool fits an awesome lot of keyway as it's the most common one. It even fits in my home door lock which is a 3* Q lock. Cheers Jack 🙂👍
Hi, Roy, I'm new to your channel. I noticed you commented on Lock Noobs channel about this Chinese lock pick a couple of days ago. I thought his review of the tool was rather limited and 'spot off'. These locks are probably not widely used in the UK, so he doesn't know what all the pros and cons are. But many of the cons he failed to mention in his video. Problem 1: The pick itself is made from 3 mm ejector pin material. It's quite strong, but subject to rust. Problem 2: The pick itself is surface ground. The length of pick shaft is too long. The extra length Is completely unnecessary and it enables pins to slip off easily to the increased flexibility. Problem 3: The pick tip is too wide and should be 0.100" wide. Problem 4: The tensioner (key blade) won't go deep enough on some brands of locks because of an unusually thick plug face, making the keyway more recessed. This can be fixed by grinding away about 1/16" of material on the key blade. You can see how the thickness of the key blade becomes thicker closer to the red handle. It's a problem on some cylinders. Problem 4: The round handle does offer some benefits when picking close to a door jam rather than having an additional lever arm; however, the round knurled knob is quite uncomfortable and causes finger fatigue, especially when more torque is needed. The tool cannot be reversed for right-of-the-keyway pins, as somebody suggested. You won't find this commentary on Locknoobs channel.
This is a really good demonstration. How does this compare to the other kaba picks that you have featured, would your prefer be this pick over the others? cheers
This one a good tool it just needs refining, there's far too much movement in the keyway with the picking tip. I reckon a few moss with l would help this tool. Cheers PW for dropping in to watch and comment 🙂👍
ALMOST a review 😂
Well done Roy
Nice spools!
The tool seems to do the job!
Cheers mate
Stay well!
Thanks Mur-Lock68 for the encouragement. Yes it worked quite well, with a bit of tweaking I reckon it would work even better.
🙂👍
Great demonstration of that tool, Roy! I love these type of video you do! Wonderful gut and show as well! Thanks!
Thanks Adam for the encouragement. Thought I would share this one with everyone.

Nice tool 🔧 👍 👏
Good video 📹 👍 👌

It's not bad for the price and had potential to be better.

Interesting, I personally never had one to pick.
The locks reasonable so the pick did well. With improvement it could be much better.

Nice one Roy, for the money that's a good tool, like Brett says, if they had a range of interchangeable key blanks it would be very interesting

Does this pick only fit that keyway or more than one lock manufacturer?
