If you've got a dimple lock with spare keys just grind off the bitting and use that as your impressioning blade. Costco baking foil folded 4 times is about equal to impressioning foil. That's the cheap way to do it. About £10 would buy a basic kit. I live outside the box 😂

According to the Chinese sites it's 0.05mm I think. I'll double check and get back to confirm. I know that Costco baking foil folded 4 times is just about right too. EDIT: * The silver foil is 0.05mm * The gold foil is 0.06mm According to Wish.
The only foil I have found to work is foil from Costco as it's thick. I fold it four times and it seems to work well then. Buying the actual foil from one of the Chinese sites isn't that bad as the foil will make quite a lot strips. At some point I'm going to do a video on it.
I love this. I have been wanting to try this ever since the first time seeing you do this a few months back. Question when you made the slot in the key. Did you need to make it a certain size? Or just need to cut out the key bitting. Also what do you use to make that cut or grove on those pieces of plastic? Hopefully thees question makes sense lol. Great video Roy really cool.
I just take off the existing key bitting on the key. The foil then sits in the groove. As for this tool I took two thin pieces of plastic, chamfered along the edge of both pieces with a file. Then I glued them together. Sometimes you might also need to drag the tip of a small file down the channel after sticking the two pieces of plastic together to slightly widen the channel. Alternatively one piece of plastic can be used and cut a groove down the edge but I think this way with two pieces is actually much easier to do. I also made a couple out of a metal bar but it's a lot of effort with a dremmel tool to cut that groove. Go on Rook give it a go 😉
