What an awesome display of snowmobiling everything! My brother and I owned a race only 1977 RV 340 Cross country liquid cooled. It even had placards on the tunnel stating it was for competition circuits only and not intended for recreational use. We only drag race it, it was extremely fast. My buddy had a 79 SRX 440 that he won numerous Highpoint titles on the drag circuits here in British Columbia. The RV 340 was only a half a sled length or so behind that 440 SRX every time we did testing and tuning. We won many events with that sled! Very impressive for a 340 I believe it had 78 hp stock. I just recently sold it to a good friend. He went skidoo all the way. Thanks for another awesome video. Thanks.
My Dad bought a tavern in Rhinelander in 1970. EZ Bar, west of town on Hwy 8. I was in second grade, the first sled he bought was a Sno Pac. Had a Sachs 440 in it. My dad said, if you can start it you can ride it kid. You know I figured out how to start it. The next year he bought us an Arctic Cat Panther 303 wankle. He bought himself a 72 Chaparral Firebird SS 440. Fastest sled around the area at that time. Factory anyway. I remember seeing many of the sleds in this video, especially the Brutes. Those things were wicked fast and so cool looking. I remember a guy ripping around in the field behind our place, every time he pegged it the were in the air.
Great collection, I remember a lot of those oldies from the early '70s. Thanks for the memory's and keeping those sleds restored for generation's to come!!!
Awesome video John. I loved it. Thank you, and Randy. ❤ I've been wrapping my airbox foams with aluminum foil for years. I've had zero mouse issue with my airboxes since.
Another great video Nutter! Thanks so much for you to film it and for the Holland family to share their collection and stories with us! Some amazing sleds in there! Found the Drake Invader quite interesting! Always find the Roll-o-Flex Wild One’s to be a big hit with everyone! Good to see a little Saskatchewan history in there! lol Cheers guys 🍻
Nutter, I love your videos! These snowmobile collection videos are great. What a great way to get pumped up for the coming winter and riding season. A minor correction, Harlan Rohner's motorcycle and snowmobile salvage yard about 5 miles north of Willmar. It is co-located with his family's Auto Salvage yard. Windy Hill Auto parts is north of New London, MN and is run by the Bajari family. I'm not aware that Windy Hill does any snowmobile salvage.
