    The chaincase cover where the bulge sticks out is where the tensioner was. Models came in Sachs Engine was standard 15HP $695, LLoyd Engine Delux 22HP $895 and Kohler Engine 399 Super 24 HP $1095. Sold in Woolco (Woolworth) Department Stores. So you have the middle model with 22 HP LLoyd engine. Use a steering wheel puller to take the lower sprocket off.

  • @sevenskulls1
    @sevenskulls1 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

    You don’t need a puller for that. If you remove the grub/set screw, you can insert a couple of bolts into the two threaded holes and that will push back on the sprocket to remove it. I do this at work all the time. Hope this helps!!!

    Vice Grip Garage made a windshield for an older snowmobile and it came out pretty nice. I think he made it out of some blue Plexi-glass. You could take a look at what he did and probably do something similar.

    Unless I missed it, that machine was built in Quebec by Sno-Prince later owned by Lionel. They built several different brands but were basically a Sno Prince with different decals and minor detail differences. As for the chain tensioner, some older snowmobiles had an eccentric upper chaincase bearing. Check there too. And most snowmobile aftermarket parts suppliers have windshield material you can cut easily to make a new one.

    Yes there's suppose to be a tensioner where you pointed to. Some had a wheeled tensioner and some just had a curved slide tensioner. When the Bearing went out the chain slop most likely destroyed the tensioner.

    If the bearing housing cant be fixed I would either make a weld or bolt in part , it will be stronger than trying to weld the bearing housing back together and machine it as it is cast aluminium so prone to breaking again.

    great way to stretch the end of lines to fit over a nipple. Get a small set of needle nose pliers, close them and insert it into the hose and spread the pliers. Put a small amount of oil inside the hose. The hose will slowly shrink back to the original diameter but will give you time to insert the nipple.

    Joe you can form a new windshield with lexan at about 300 degrees f in an oven or form it over a foam type mold with a good heat gun. It's not that hard. Get a scrap piece of "lexan" because it doesn't crack like plexiglass

    That carb looks like it is supplied with tillotson diaphragms. I don't recognize the pattern of the casting, but the diaphragms are the same pattern as old 2100 Homelite chain saw carb diaphragms.

    Magneto produces ac and with addition of a diode in the circuit it produces half wave dc for lights and charging, many times with a high revving engine and lack of a dc regulator you'll have those dummy load resistors, as you have by the headlight, to absorb overvoltage and keep your headlights from burning out.

    That looks like 1/8 smoke plexiglass. You could make a template and make your own. Warm it with a heat gun and curve the plastic.

    You can heat lexan over a simple wooden form made from the broken windshield, it will bend just like the original windshield
