Aloha, I am late in joining this group and I see you took a break. I have been planning a trip to Hawai'i for many years and was supposed to go Dec 2020, but covid changed that, and last year it was still uncertain...but finally I will be going in Dec 2022. I am from Puerto Rico, and I am learning to hula with you in my apartment in the Bronx, New York . Puerto Rico and Hawai'i are both in the USA on opposite oceans. I feel a calling from your islands, a feeling in my heart since I was a kid. This trip is a dream come true. I want to enjoy Hawai'i as much as I can and I want to understand hula. It is Beautiful and I love the stories as we dance the different places of Hawai'i . I embrace the Aloha Spirit. I love the "Love Song Hula" for my husband ...I want to dance it for him...we are married 35 years. I am still learning it. I LOVE your step by step explanations and everything you teach. You are an Excellent instructor...your passion of Hula and Hawai'i shines through. Mahalo

I wish I lived near you! I would be at every class! I used to dance hula professionally many years ago. It's been 15 years. Thankyou so much for making these videos. This is definitely something that I really wish I participated in when I was a child because my daycare had us do a dance choreography that's very similar to hula so I definitely would have enjoyed this.

I'm a huge fan of Hula (watching every Marrie Monarch, reading every article about Hula and its essence- am i creepy? i hope not=/) and these videos you make are very important to me as an ex-dancer ( yet, I didn't loose my spirit and still trying to learn most of the dance styles all over the world).
