I have a 2022 carnival with this same entertainment system and I’m having a difficult time connecting to hdmi since we can’t mirror from iPhone. The picture comes on the screen but no sound. You can’t add apps which is frustrating. You can’t sync both screens at the same time😩😩😩😩
We have the exact same issue. SOO frustrating. Maybe we should write Kia and let them know they put useless screens in these vehicles. My goodness this is a big overlook on Kia’s end
I was about to buy a carnival with these and I’m glad we spent time going through them because they didn’t look like I expected and realized this could be a problem!! Might be better getting some screens from Amazon! Cheaper and can connect to each other.
Is there anyway to have these not come on during start up? 99% of the time there is no one in the back seats and it’s super annoying at night time to have these screens blazing.
@@autowill99 I found this video showing how to install it. So I just did it backwards. th-cam.com/video/vzg3_brVa-E/w-d-xo.html Basically all you have to do is take off the panel on the back of the seat and you can take the mount off and unplug the screen. I just tucked the plug into the seat and put the panel back on. I did struggle to take off the back panel and we broke the hinges making it a little harder to get the panel back on but as long as you can get the panels off you’re golden.
Don’t get any Kia’s with these screens if your buying new. Theses screens are basically useless. They only work with headphones.. not connected to car speakers, screams not tethered together…many more things wrong with these. Frustrating for sure. If you order the screens on say the 2022 Kia carnival that didn’t have them factory installed, you don’t actually get the Kia carnival screens.. you get these POS

I've been spending all afternoon just trying to get this thing to read a USB drive, nothing seems to work despite different media files and/or usb formats. The store is crap, as there is nothing beyond factory settings you can get, there are literally like 5 things available to download, and they are already installed. The games are absolute crap, and don't even allow you to connect to the other console, even though they both have that feature. The software is at the latest version, which means there will never likely be any fixes for these issues. This has got to be about the worst entertainment system I've ever seen in a car, I'd avoid this all at all costs..
I just got a Kia telluride 2022 I didn't care for the entertainment system because I knew it would be crap I just wanted the other feature boy was I right , let me explain first off it run on Android that fine I love android I have an Android phone and tablet at home, this thing got android 8 on it that like 4 years old software we are on Android 12 and let me tell you don't expect to get an upgrade not happening. It Got 2 GB of Ram 16GB memory if you were to get an Android tablet on Amazon with those spec it would be those cheap Chinese tablet you never hear of $40- $60 max. For $1500 that's is just pure grossly rip off I my son was so eager to play with it big disappointment , no speakers doesn't come wifi so you have to use your phone as mobile Hotspot to play TH-cam save your money just get a Samsung tablet or iPad for the kids at least you be able to use them for a few years. I love my Telluride that part the dealership got me on that one smh 🤦🏽♂
Yes it is terrible and useless. I am currently spending days trying to get DVDs onto flash drive for my son. You would think they would have at least added $20 bluetooth headsets. I had in my other car a $250 system I found online with DVD players built in and headsets and they worked great. DO NOT buy this Kia crap of entertainent system. You need a hotspot which KIA only provides in the Carnival which ironically has a completely differnet entertainment system????? Why??? I called KIA and they said there is nothing they can do about the system and its operation. WOW KIA thanks for the help. Those screens are basically $20 bricks at this point. I hope the movies on usb stick help because these are worthless to anyone.
Yes!!! Same. I was so excited to get this and the RSE system is crap. I was able to get Netflix and the kids can utilize TH-cam. I love everything else about the Kia Telluride.

There should be a power button on the screens I believe which you can use to turn them off
