I have had my 2021 Seltos SX for 3 years with 36,000 miles and it also drives flawless and solid as a rock. Interior is holding up better than any of my former vehicles. I always lease, so I often have new cars. After my 3 year lease on Ford Escape- it felt more like I had it 6 years in terms of ride quality diminishing. Ford Fusion after that and it also showed its age. In the Seltos for 4 year lease but looking to maybe turn in early for a 2023 Tucson or Sportage. Mainly just for the extra space and they are 🔥🔥🔥

I have a 23 Telluride X Line, bought it January 2023 for $59,844 and actually drove 7.5 hours to another state to get the color I wanted. It’s Dawning Red exterior with quilted baseball glove colored leather interior. It has all the bells and whistles. I’ve only had one recall for the parking brake, which was just a software update. I drove it from my home in Saint Simons, Georgia to Bozeman Montana four months after I purchased it and it handled beautifully. Going through South Dakota where the speed limits in some places was 85 mph, in sport mode, my Telluride handled like a rocket. My other vehicle is a bulletproof 5.7 L V8 Tundra double cab, which gets 16.2 miles per gallon. It’s not the best vehicle to drive across the country on a 3000 mile road trip. My Telluride averaged 35 miles per gallon driving across the country. The heated seats were just what was needed on cold Yellowstone nights, and the cooling feature on the seats was needed and welcomed in Las Vegas, where it was hotter than hell. I love my Telluride.

also, their 100k warranty is only for the power train. The electronics and gadgets are warrantied for less than that. And they seem to use sub par components that fail all too soon as well. So all those gadgets and gizmos might nice the first few years, but will start failing and glitching out past their warranty period.

After looking at almost all the 3row SUVs including the 2024 telluride, I really liked it. Nice interior. Loved the outside look. Preferred the larger sunroof in other cars instead of two sunroofs. The reason we didn’t go with it was the arm coming up from the center console. You can see it at 5:56-6:04 of the video. My husband felt like it was pushing into his leg and was uncomfortable. Also, the one we drove has an extension to the seat. If it’s not comfortable try pulling it in or putting it out. Liked it over all just wasn’t comfortable for my husband on the driver seat.

We have been using Traverses for work vehicles for years now and just got a 2023 about 5 months ago. I have a 2022 Hyundai Palisade SEL and get the chance to compare these vehicles almost daily.
      - Comfort, noise levels, power delivery all better on the Palisade. Traverse engine is particularly more noisy and less refined. Has more peak power, but not as tractible everywhere else.
      - Interior design of the Traverse is still circa 2015. Terrible piano black finish, 3 different faux metal finishes, and terrible GM corporate switchgear.
      - Traverse automatic 9 speed transmission is not as smooth or intelligent as the Kia/Hyundai 8 speed
      - Safety and driver assist features on the Palisade are much more advanced than what our work vehicles have had at similar trim levels
      - Chevrolet Traverse reliability has been god awful for numerous years, according to Consumer Reports. Make of that what you will.
I shopped the Traverse when I was buying early in 2022 and the interior of the Palisade was just a more modern space to be in. Maybe the 2024 total redesign will close the gap, but I was shopping in 2022 not 2024.

Bought mine April of 2023. Very few were available at that time but I saw the SX-Prestige X-Pro, all black with Camel interior, and we went down to the dealer to test drive it. What a dream to drive, handles amazingly, and there is literally nothing you could possible want that isn’t in the car at this level. It also does lumbar massage if you drive more than an hour without stopping. Scared me to death the first time it happened. Sticker was $55,365 which was steep for us, but we keep our cars for the long haul. We still have our 2011 KIA Sorento, and it is still going strong. We did also test drive the Lincoln Aviator, but for the same price point, it didn’t compare to the Telluride. The one thing that dealers were doing at that time was pricing above MSRP which was crazy and annoyed me. One dealer wanted $10k above, ours was $2500 above, but still less than the Aviator, with a much quieter and smoother ride.
I can’t say enough about this car. Even at the other levels, people I know love this classy SUV. I knew we’d be keeping her, so we went all in and I’m really glad we did.
I should add my husband is 6’2 and has plenty of room front and middle!

I don't put a lot of miles on the car...but it's been great. Have two kids and we still enjoy the vehicle. Our other vehicle is the Model X. The only downside I see in the Telluride experience is the Kia dealer... they are the achilles heel. They could've leveraged the Telluride to become a trusted and loved seller...in the end, they haven't been able to handle being the hot girl at the party.

@@foreverbrownsfan If you know how GDI works, and this isn't news, VW and Ford have had nothing but trouble with their GDI engines for many many years, you know this is planned obsolescence and I like to keep my cars 15 years. Hell I have a 2003 Honda Odyssey with the venerable 3.5L with old school VTEC and with 180k miles on the engine if I did a tear down I'd be hard pressed to find carbon buildup anywhere. I'm not going backwards in internal combustion engineering, I like to move forwards. I'll gladly do my own oil changes, ATF changes, differential fluid changes, even my own brakes. I am not going to take apart an intake and scrape off carbon deposits off the back of intake valves. That's ridiculous. If you want one, buy one. These go for up and around 55k. At that price Id rather get something much more reliable....like the Honda Pilot. Or the upcoming Land Cruiser. Hell for a bit more you can get something much better in a Lexus GX.
Yes Kia/Hyundai have been doing much better with their reliability but they are still leagues behind a Toyota or a Honda. So yes this might be a decent vehicle today....how about 2 or 3 or even 5 years from now? It will be worth next to nothing, where something like a Land Cruiser of a GX will still be highly valued.

But the main reason I would do a hard pass is that Kia wants too much for it and the price GOUGING is crazy (when the truck with be worth nothing in a few years.. people fall for this and get wrapped up in bad loan/lease terms which puts many owners upside partly from the price gouging and what they are worth in a few years. if they need to trade etc. Sorry Kia does not retain value over the long term.... They were once cheaper alternatives than the competition making it an "okay" buy but step into a dealer now and you will see what I mean.... The bottom line price per long-term value is still not there with KIA/Hyundai.... oh forgot to mention good luck with dealer service if there is a problem... this is also one of the main down falls of the company

Why a Telluride is so expensive is beyond me. Nice SUV, but I can get a Land Rover for the same price. I can sure get a much larger Hyundai Palisade and maybe a couple of used Subaru's for the same price. I'd buy one, but I ain't paying stupid KIA dealer sticker numbers.

Car Care Nut's dissection of the Palisade's underpinnings scared me off the Telluride/Palisade. That and having to fork over 60k+ for one. Not happening just on general principle.

@@hassancounseling8365 No denying the Telluride's aesthetics and creature comforts. They are gorgeous. Shopped them VERY hard when we had to replace the wife's Honda Odyssey a few months ago. We keep our vehicles a minimum of 10 years. My driver is a 2015 4Runner LTD bought new that now has 155k miles on it. I bought my son a new 2017 Tacoma that has currently 116k miles on it. Neither has seen the shop for anything other than routine maintenance. If I was to fork out MSRP+++ for a new Telluride I would expect the same longevity for it as well. That video gave me doubts about that happening. Wasn't about to spend over 60k to find out (was looking at the SXP Xline that MSRPs around 55k plus "market adjustment" which was anywhere from 5k to 15k depending on dealer). Oh and add another grand for dealer fees to boot. No thanks. To top it off the sheer arrogance of the Kia dealerships assures that I will never step foot on a Kia lot again.
