RIP Freddie Mercury ❤ who passed away in 1991 at the age of 45 from AIDS. The best vocalist and frontman ever, all 4 members were the best, and together, oomph. THE BEST BAND ever. Intelligent, diversified, musical wonders, together for 21 years of awesome music and the best LIVE performers ever. Masters of music in every way.
This concert was for famine in Africa. It was live in London and a Philadelphia and screened on tv all over the world. That’s why there were so many people. There were many bands playing. They only had 22 minutes that is why some of the songs were cut short. Brian May is still alive and continues to tour with the drummer and a different bass player and Adam Lambert as front man. Yes they are legends. We lost Freddie to AIDS in 1991 because there were no meds to keep him alive. He sang and continued to write until he could no more.
I was at this concert as a young 24 year old ,now as a 63 year old I still listen to queen daily thet really are the greatest band ever in my eyes and in Freddie they had the greatest showman ever. It was said many years later that for 22 minutes in 1985 the uk was ruled by another queen. Please keep the queen reactions coming, literally anything from their 1986 Wembley concert 0r their 1981 montreal concert will blow your mind , the best live band ever.
At 89 I’m probably their oldest Queen fan. Love Freddie but all the Band are fantastic musicians and I envy you as you go down their rabbit hole. Enjoy😅😊
72,000 people in attendance and 1.9 Billion people watching from around the world, which was 0:030:03 1/4 of the world at that time. Freddie performed against doctors orders with a throat infection. Live Aid made 140, million dollars for famine in Africa. When the boys left the stage, a Prince from Dubai donated $1 million

I was there that day in 1985 as a 15yr old pop music lover... I left that day as a convert to rock music, thanks mainly to Freddie & Co... You need to remember that this was NOT a Queen concert or even a Queen audience, in fact they were a last minute addition to the line up. That said for 22 minutes that afternoon Freddie had close to 73,000 people in Wembley and almost 1.9 billion watching on TV globally eating out of the palm of his hand. David Bowie followed Queen that day and was in the wings when they came off stage and apparently said to Freddie something along the lines of "thanks you b'stard, how am I supposed to follow that?"😂😂 I was lucky enough to see them again the following year on their "Magic" tour, Status Quo opened for them (BONUS) and Queen certainly didn't disappoint. I'm now a 55yr old woman who's been to 300ish live rock concerts over the years, everyone from Guns n Roses to ACDC to Uriah Heep, Meatloaf, Status Quo, Alice Cooper, Bon Jovi (48 times 😂), The Hollywood Vampires (Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Joe Perry) to H.I.M and the 69 Eyes.. but that 22 minutes right there is still by far the best 22 minutes of live greatness EVER! And one show that has never left my memory! God bless you Freddie and Thank you for the music.. RIP you legend 👑👑👑
@Taylorswiftfan13308 what can I say... I just love music and especially Bon Jovi.. I've travelled all over the UK and a couple of shows in Europe... Bearing in mind that 48 shows is over a 40 year period xx
@@RaichnotTHATrach I should hope it was drawn out like that. Even if you'd had money to burn, 48 shows in one year crosses some sort of line (probably several really 😄) But as is, I'll leave it at well done, and hope you catch a few more!
The music of Queen will be heard and loved forever! 💙👑🫶🕊 Edit: I've been a Queenie for almost 50 yrs and you know more Queen songs than you think.......A lot more. 😅
1.5 billion people watched this live, you need to watch all their live shows. No auto tune all his voice,I love watching the young hear them for the first time!
Young people today say they don’t know Queen but every one does know them , because of there songs they are true legends . Glad you enjoyed it keep listening to Queen .
Love love your reaction. I have watched many of you younger adults watch this and they all have the same reaction to the 2 last songs. MY 12 YR old granddaughter is a big fan of Queen.
I love watching younger people react to Queen with the "I don't know anything about Queen" attitude until Rock You and Champions happen then, as you were, they are open-mouthed in astonishment because the do know Queen after all. Both of those great songs were written to encourage audience participation, but you may have noticed that the crowd sang along to Bohemian Rhapsody anyway as that song was so iconic. Looking forward to further Queen reactions from you. 😊
When the tickets went on sale...Queen was not signed up to be in this concert. They were signed up after the tickets sold out! The crowd were not all Queen fans...till they took the stage!!!! You might like "Another one bites the dust!"
72,000 people at Wembley. No sound check before going on, and the crowd were not all Queen fans (lots of other acts performing on the day) yet Freddie Mercury commanded them all! Freddie had a throat infection that day and was advised by doctors not to perform...and he STILL nailed it!! Queen stole the entire show!! And as for the guitarist...not bad for a home made instrument!!

Freddie wrote "Bohemian Rhapsody", Roger wrote "Radio Gaga", Brian wrote "Hammer to fall" ,- (yes and he built his own guitar, "The Red Special" in his teens with his father - still playing it now - more than 60 years later - ), and "We will Rock You", Freddie also wrote "Crazy little Thing called Love" and "We are the Champions ". Wellcome to the world of Queen.🥰
It was Live Aid. More than a billion people were listening around the world. 72,000 in the stadium to hear artists from everywhere and Freddy Mercury and all Queen walked in and stole the show. It's great to see a new generation seeing and appreciating his brilliance.
If you would like to see an impressive crowd, watch Queen - love of my life - Rock in Rio. It will show you how much control Freddie had of his crowds and there were a quarter of a million people there.
Thanks so much for your fantastic Queen reaction! Yes Freddie showed his ass, it's saying to he's old mangers to kiss his ass goodbye!! To hear the song it's called "Death on 2 Legs" on Night of the Opera album.
Freddie had a bad throat (which he said was like gargling with broken glass) and the doctor told him not to perform. However Queen did and they smashed it. Each act was given 20 minutes and if they ran over they were cut. Queen did the most songs and finished exactly on time. All four of Queen have University Degrees which are not in music.
Now you know who Freddie is. And you will never forget him. All four members of the band were insanely talented. But Freddie, he was touched by the gods.
That was SO FUN! Being 66 years old and watching a young person's eyes bug out when Freddie starts we will rock you.... And then AGAIN when he blends into We are the champions. SO MUCH FUN!! Fun fact... When this came out these two songs were linked-- we will rock you was connected to We are the champions. Always played as one song on the radio❤
If you can find it, watch "Queen live at Wembley 1986". It's way too long for a reaction, but it will give you an idea of how audiences reacted to the band. Wembley (the same stadium as the "Live Aid" concert which you just watched) was just as packed. After that, you might like to hunt down a copy of "Queen - The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert 20th April 1992". It will likely be a 2DVD set. Thank you for reacting to these legends.
'Somebody to love' live is a must, Don't stop me now' and of course Bohemian Rhapsody goes without saying enjoy going down the Queen rabbit hole so so much to discover.
This is such a great set. I love this and have seen it so many times but each time I feel like I am right there in the crowd. Thank you for your reaction. Lead Singer: Freddie Mercury Guitar: Sir Dr. Brian May, Bass:John Decon, Drums: Roger Taylor. Freddie was backing out the cameraman. Freddie liked to use the whole stage and the cameras were crowding him. The crowd for this show was sold out at 72,000, not Queen's largest crowd by a long shot but as much as this stadium would hold. Set List: Bohemian Rhapsody (Mercury), Radio Ga-Ga (Taylor), Hammer To Fall (May), Crazy LIttle Thing Called Love (Mercury), We Will Rock You (May), We Are The Champions (Mercury)
Crowd size: one of their biggest was in S. America, which multi country tour they finished just 6 weeks before this, with estimated well over 200,000 people.
@@sharonhalliday3180 Yes. Roger said that each night at Rock In Rio they had around 300,000 people in attendance. They had around 150,000 at their Hyde Park show and that was years before.
Great reaction! I highly suggest reacting to somebody to Love live in Montreal 1981. And another one bites the dust live in Montreal 1981. I think you would like those music videos as well. There’s so many other great songs to react to.
“Everyone looks like a bowl of cereal/like a frosted flake”. 😹😹😹 FACT: You know, when you’re looking at a picture online, there’s the “Find similar images” icon that you can click/tap on? I was looking at a picture of the crowd at Queen’s 1986 Wembley concert (So, this same stadium, but a year after this Live Aid event)…. I used that “Find similar images” feature, and… the RESULTS WERE: A PICTURE OF… A “GUHZILLION” KERNELS OF GRAIN! (Like, grains of wheat or something) NOT. KIDDING.🤣
Love your fabulous reaction! All their live performances are brilliant but a standout is Somebody to Love, live in Montreal, 1981. Just to let you know the guitar you hear is all Brian May. He produces so much richness and volume that you could easily think there are two guitarists playing. John Deacon plays bass.
There are three verses to We Will Rock You. Queen played an abbreviated version so as stay within the 20 minute allotment given to each band.. Check out the official video from Queen’s TH-cam channel. David Bowie was the next performer. He said (something to the effect) How the fck am I to follow that!?” Freddie died in 1991.
Greatest 20min set in rock history. Queen left their imprint on the world and will continue to do so for generations to come. Keep going down the queen rabbit hole there catalog is huge and there live performances are incredible We truly miss you freddie God bless you
72000 present and 8100 in USA and billions around the world watched live. Me, included in CA. The Police are comedians. We Will Rock You...by Queen. Written by Brian May Lead Guitarist. We Are The Champions, written by Freddie Mercury, lead singer of Queen.
Loved yr reaction. Brian May wrote We Will Rock You and Freddie Mercury wrote We Are The Champions. Another song you might know is Another One Bites The Dust which was written by the bass player John Deacon. A fun version of AOBTD is @Montreal 1981. Queen were phenomenal in the studio and amazing live. Lady GaGa named herself after the Radio GaGa song you heard. ❤
Rock You and Champions were the opening songs on the 1977 News of the World album and released (flip-side) as a single. Radio played them together upon their release. They were blasting from all the car windows!
Great reaction…… loved how shocked you were…… Queen has almost 300 songs spread out over 20 years of hits….. you will definitely recognize more iconic songs that you never knew were by Queen. Most of their songs are better when performed live than the studio releases……. Please, please you must react to “Somebody to Love” live in Montreal 1981….. then “Another One Bites the Dust” from the same live concert. Thank you.
RIP Freddie Mercury. I was a kid when this was broadcast around the world for free on TV and I almost felt sorry for David Bowie since he was the next artist on stage after Queen. Honestly, how to you follow a performance like that.
They have all wrote number one hits as well. The guitarist Brian May made his first guitar when he was young with his dad as he couldn't afford a Fender o Gibson it's called the red special and it has its own unique sound which is amazing because it's made out of an old fireplace. Please listen to Somebody to Love Montreal live HD at the same concert dragon attack and save me I'll be following you on your queen journey enjoy x
Brian was knighted and has a PhD in Astrophysics. They all had college degrees are are all very intelligent and famous musicians. The bass player had many #1 hits. They all did.
The show was similicast all over the world so i guess this was his way of including the audience sitting at home. In all i think i remember there was 1.4 Billion watching. 70,000.in the stadium.
Sorry, just found you; so, I’m late to the Comment Section! I’m a 68 y/o Glamma. You seem to enjoy the background of things. And, I’m a Trivia sponge, so here goes: FUN FACTS FIRST: The kisses are for his Mom who was watching him on Television. MATTER OF FACTS: They had just completed a Tour a month b4. So, they went & rented a Stadium to practice the performance. He ended up with a Throat Infection & the Doctor highly recommended he not do it bc he might lose his musical ability. He said no! Can you tell he had a severe throat infection? Most people think he was drinking booze from the cups bc on the piano. He’s drinking Honey & Tea. His command of the Audience was more than coincidence it was miraculous. Considering there were so many people there the sound was getting absorbed through them. So the people @ the back we’re following his hand gestures bc the actual sound hadn’t even reached them b4 the next sound was coming @ them. Go back & watch what his hands are doing & what the Audience is doing. NEXT: Radio Gaga is celebrating Radio bc M-TV is just getting started. LADY GAGA was a huge Freddie Fam growing up, so That was where she came up with HER STAGE NAME! You have to listen to the words to really understand the meaning. Most of us didn’t have a clue what a Band looked like unless we saw them in Person! NEXT-MICROPHONE. At sometime along the way a Microphone Stand broke, so that was the only spilt second solution they could come up with. He realized the freedom he had to move, dance, & engage the Audience. NEXT MICHAEL JACKSON & ELVIS CONNECTION on Song THIS THING CALLED LOVE: It was written as his homage to Elvis-Freddie was a big fan. But, he just wasn’t sure about the song bc he didn’t want to taint Elvis. SO, he played it for Michael J. (Yes, they were friends!). And Michael told him he HAD TO, he said “Freddie, you have to”! (Can’t you just see that!?). NEXT FREDDIE’s VOICE. HE HAD 4 extra teeth so that’s the reason he had such an overbite. He had the ability to naturally flow from Octave to Octave. It was a natural progression, for him. SCIENTIFICALLY: Test were done on his Voice. He was able to use his Throat muscles on either side of his vocal cords. Which is normally seen in some Opera Singers. His Vocal Range was from Low Bass F, to High Soprano F! They were extremely surprised to find out that he could go from about 92Hz to 784Hz, effortlessly! See ACTUAL REPORT BELOW: nyone who has listened to a Queen track knows that Freddie has a unique ability that still has not been truly replicated since. His ability to blend highs, lows and mid range notes cohesively and with immense precision. This skill was due to the fact that Freddie was able to create faster vibrato and harmonics than any other singer at the time. Not only this, he was able to shift through registers effortlessly. Although he naturally held a baritone voice, he primarily sang as a tenor and of course had no problem then shifting into soprano parts. One study on Freddie’s vocal range even confirmed that he was able to vary from about 92.2 Hz to 784 Hz, meaning he was reliably able to hit notes from the booming low of F#2 to the high pitch G5 - that covers a full three octaves! LEAD GUITARIST: Brian May, is playing on a Guitar he & his Father made. When he first starting to learn they were too poor to afford a high end guitar. So, they just made one! They made out of an old cabinet his mother was going to throw awayThe included some “extras” that would normally have to be separate instruments to get all those features (think Concerts when you see guitarist changing Guitars depending on the Song….that’s why he didn’t)! I’m sorry to take up your Valuable Time, and I thank you. You need anymore Trivia I’m your G’Ma go to. My Brain is full, especially with music! LAST INTERESTING INFO: When he is waving his arm it is to tell the cameramen which way he is going bc he’s moving around so much. When he kicks his legs backwards that is getting over all the cables, that are on the Stage. TV Cameras were not cordless back in the day!! And, “We Will Rock You”, is actually a Prelude to “We Are The Champions”. (It is really all 1 Song!) You just, truly, saw “ The Greatest Show On Earth!” Brian May said Freddy was a hard taskmaster in rehearsals. But, that he always was right about what the Audience wanted…would say that worked out pretty well..wouldn’t you agree? Freddy turned the whole Audience in to his backup singers!

Four brilliant musicians at the top of their game. This performance is all the more remarkable because this was not a Queen audience (they were a last minute addition) and they stole the show. Brian May said the sound was so bad on stage that they couldn't even hear one another. That's where their professionalism shows. Freddie was having a problem with his throat and had been advised not to sing. Thank heavens he didn't take that advice.
I don't understand people being ugly in the comments. Or even bossy in the comments. It's like you said move on. Life is bigger than reactions. I'm sorry as a queen fan who travels from reaction to reaction, I'm truly sorry. You're doing a great job.
Nice reaction...2 things...please don't pause so often and concentrate on the video and don't keep looking over to whatever is going on your right. It's important to watch everything going on just as we are. Thank You...
In the video info, put the link that leads to the original video. Yours is a reaction, it is normal to interrupt to show your reaction. Those who do not agree, go and watch the original video.
Great reaction but have to say you picked a really really bad version as the quality was horrific !!! There are much better versions to pick, even your face was kinda fuzzy, the sound quality when you speak too !! You really need to amp up your quality if you're gonna continue with Queen, even your Bho Rhap did not give the panning/overlay effects in my headphones. Also every movement you made your microphone picked it up/fuzziness, not good at all, also you we're very distracting which took it away from the music as your concentration was either on the side of your screen and then dancing etc etc, just felt that you missed so much of Freddie's stage presence, I only just managed to stick it to the end of this reaction (just in my honest opinion - just some friendly advice)!!! However, keep up the good work on Queen, you're platform will rocket. I was in that crowd and was just 16 years old and the first time I saw Queen, I was hooked. Saw them twice the following year and am now 55 and have been a fan ever since. RIP you beautifu Persian Poppinjay, Freddie Mercury, you were and still are a LEGEND ....

Plus they closed the concert with (Freddie & Brian) Is This The World We Created 👑
Freddie Mercury...the best vocalist and frontman in history!!!!
I bet Freddie holds that title forever. 👑🫶💙
You’re going to flip when you find they also sang Another One Bites The Dust 😊
Names
Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor (drums), John Deacon ( bass guitarist) Brian was knighted so he is
Sir Dr Brian May (also a professor)
Great reaction! I highly suggest reacting to somebody to Love live in Montreal 1981. And another one bites the dust live in Montreal 1981. I think you would like those music videos as well. There’s so many other great songs to react to.
Yes, that performance is sensational!!!
Wasn't sure at first but you got the queen bug great reaction
Liar stone. cold crazy. Dragon attack. Under pressure. Another one bites the dust
“Everyone looks like a bowl of cereal/like a frosted flake”.
😹😹😹
FACT:
You know, when you’re looking at a picture online, there’s the “Find similar images” icon that you can click/tap on? I was looking at a picture of the crowd at Queen’s 1986 Wembley concert (So, this same stadium, but a year after this Live Aid event)…. I used that “Find similar images” feature, and… the RESULTS WERE:
A PICTURE OF… A “GUHZILLION” KERNELS OF GRAIN! (Like, grains of wheat or something)
NOT.
Must say I’ve never heard anyone ask who FREDDIE MERCURY is before 😂😂😂Shows how we QUEENIES are getting old ✌🏼🌷
More Queen songs. I Want It All, Under Pressure, Don't Stop Me Now, The Show Must Go On. Will do for a start.
You should react to Love of My Life from the ‘85 Rock in Rio tour… estimated over 250,000… you can never go wrong with a live Queen performance!
Suggestions: It'sa Kind of Magic, live at awembley stadium a year later
72,000 in stadium. And 1.5 billion world wide that day
There are three verses to We Will Rock You. Queen played an abbreviated version so as stay within the 20 minute allotment given to each band.. Check out the official video from Queen’s TH-cam channel. David Bowie was the next performer. He said (something to the effect) How the fck am I to follow that!?”
Freddie died in 1991.
Greatest 20min set in rock history. Queen left their imprint on the world and will continue to do so for generations to come. Keep going down the queen rabbit hole there catalog is huge and there live performances are incredible
We truly miss you freddie
God bless you
72000 present and 8100 in USA and billions around the world watched live. Me, included in CA. The Police are comedians. We Will Rock You...by Queen. Written by Brian May Lead Guitarist. We Are The Champions, written by Freddie Mercury, lead singer of Queen.
Sir Dr Brian May playing the Red Special, the guitar he and his father built when he was young.
Radio GaGa was written by Roger Taylor, the drummer. All four members have written No 1 world-wide hits. So much talent in one band! ❤❤ ❤
Also queen- show must go on
"We Will Rock You" written by the guitarist...Sir Brian May....
Rock You and Champions were the opening songs on the 1977 News of the World album and released (flip-side) as a single. Radio played them together upon their release. They were blasting from all the car windows!
Brian May guitarist with his home made guitar,John Deacon bass,Roger Taylor drums and Freddie lead
Guitarist in brian may. The bass player is John decon and the drummer is rodger
The video Bohemian Rapsody. A must review.
Spread Your Wings video)
Brian was knighted and has a PhD in Astrophysics. They all had college degrees are are all very intelligent and famous musicians. The bass player had many #1 hits. They all did.
Cool Shirt! Steph Curry now and Freddie Mercury forever, legends in their own time . . . and forever I'm certain.
Love Of My Life (Rio)
You Take My Breath Away (Hyde Park (1975)
Here are a few queen record cuts
I want it all
Breakthru
Cool cat
Soul brother
The show was similicast all over the world so i guess this was his way of including the audience sitting at home. In all i think i remember there was 1.4 Billion watching. 70,000.in the stadium.
The constables joke about the noise in the beginning; You have to realize that Belgium is 275 mi away from Wembley stadium!
See ACTUAL REPORT BELOW:
nyone who has listened to a Queen track knows that Freddie has a unique ability that still has not been truly replicated since.
(It is really all 1 Song!)
You just, truly, saw “ The Greatest Show On Earth!”
Brian May said Freddy was a hard taskmaster in rehearsals. But, that he always was right about what the Audience wanted…would say that worked out pretty well..wouldn’t you agree? Freddy turned the whole Audience in to his backup singers!
We will rock you written ny Brian May We sre the champions written by Freddie
You should react to those domgs at Wembley 86,nreath taking
Freddie was a god. The entire band were/are phenomenal. Music will never see the likes of them again. RIP Freddie❤️
73,000+ in attendance. Queen was a last minute addition. They weren’t even printed on the tickets!
39 (Lyrics version with Brian doing the vocals)
@5:11 Kevin attempted to sing with a deep voice ( MaMa ) had me dead 😭😭
That is not a back up chorus you are hearing in the first song. It is the audience.

R.I.P FREDDIE WE MISS YOU
Great reaction
Friends Will Be Friends. You’re My Best Friend (video)
Under Pressure...
❤❤I know you know bohemian rhapsody! Freddy was a legend, even when he was alive! Watch the movie!
NO DO NOT WATCH, it's a piece of fabricated shit! It neutered Freddie!!!
Brian May 🤮- not Sir🤢because his is the jealous hand behind the scenes trying to destroy our beloved FREDDIE! 🤬🤬🤬
@@leighloutreedore8926 Beautifully said! 🙌🏻👏🏻👍🏻❣️
Thank you for your reaction
Check out leaving in a prayer (Bon Jovi) video thank you
I don't understand people being ugly in the comments. Or even bossy in the comments. It's like you said move on. Life is bigger than reactions. I'm sorry as a queen fan who travels from reaction to reaction, I'm truly sorry. You're doing a great job.
Sorry the drummers name is Roger Taylor
Nice reaction...2 things...please don't pause so often and concentrate on the video and don't keep looking over to whatever is going on your right. It's important to watch everything going on just as we are. Thank You...
KEVIN YOU NEED TO REACT TO THE KALOGERA SISTERS ROLLER BLADING
In the video info, put the link that leads to the original video. Yours is a reaction, it is normal to interrupt to show your reaction. Those who do not agree, go and watch the original video.
You will learn NEVER pause on Brian May solo if you want to keep Queen fans on your channel.
React to kalogeras sisters rollerblading
