Freddie and Queen took total command of any stage they graced. This is ranked as the greatest live performance in musical history. Queen ruled the world in their prime, and were untouchable ♥️🎤🥁🎹🎸👑
Love what you guys are doing. You know at the same time as the shows at Wembley stadium, another Live Aid concert was going on simultaneously across the Atlantic in Philadelphia at JFK stadium with a whole different lineup of great groups!
Freddie was lucky to get any notes. He had laryngitis the week before this concert and was advised by his doctor to cancel his appearance and rest his voice. He ignored the advice and went on to make rock history.
@@gozaband You can actually hear that he is pushing it somewhat in some of the performance. Knowing this makes it even more on the edge and we are willing him on.
I think I was 5 years old when all of this happened. I remember my sister watching it on tv, though I didn’t take much notice. At that age I didn’t appreciate how amazing Queen was. Now in my 40’s I’m rediscovering Queen! Seriously, I could watch their Live Aid performance over and over. No one comes close to Freddie’s voice!
So cool you remember that! Must of had some subconscious impression since you were only five! I agree no one comes close to his voice! Mahalo for sharing 🤙🏼 🎸
Hi Guys, This is (obviously) not the whole “Bohemian Rhapsody” song… To see a FANTASTIC performance of the whole song, you should consider reacting to: MONTREAL in 1981 …As mentioned, Freddie actually had such a severe throat infection during the Live Aid performance, his Dr. didn’t want him to do it… And after the 20-minute set was done, Freddie said that his throat felt like he’d “been gargling with shards of glass”!
Thank you for the recommendation of the Montreal performance we will check it out! I think they did a great job of cutting the song down for the live aid performance being that they were on a strict time limit and also opened the set with said song. Something to learn from as a band. And yes absolutely says so much that he was sick and sounded that great
LiveAid twinned with a concert in Philadelphia 🇺🇸, both concerts televised worldwide and broadcasted to over 1 1/2 billion people,70 artists and bands performed over 16 hours , 72,000 thousand people at Wembley UK 🇬🇧, 89,000 at Philadelphia USA, 🇺🇸 LiveAid raised around 127 million dollars, each artist had around 20 minutes to perform, Queen came on stage and with there legendary flamboyant performance stole the show, they were by far the best performers on the day, Freddie had the crowd in the palm of his hand, all the members of Queen have written No1 hits,Queens greatest hits album is today still the best selling album in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧, LiveAid the project was the idea of two British artists, Bob Geldof And Midge Ure, I actually attended many Queen live concerts over the years and LiveAid was one I have fond memories, I also attended Freddie’s very last live performance ever in 1986at Knebworth Park UK 🇬🇧 The crowd at Knebworth was estimated to be 120 - 140 people, great reaction thanks 🙏
I still think their attendance numbers were off' Wembley was built to seat 72,000 for sporting events. The seats were sold out for this plus they had at least a few thousand on what was normally the playing field.
Hey Guys would luv to see yr reaction to ELTON JOHN ROCKETMAN """"""LIVE """""""" ROYAL FESTIVAL HALL 1972 like u say , shear raw magical PURE talent ❤ frm tha ' 🇬🇧 Xxx.

Totally agree about bands such as Queen, Led Zeppelin and other bands, their music is ageless.
