Hello ma'am, thank you so much for the tips. I'd do well to practice them. However, do you think this is applicable to public speaking and voice acting? Cause, I personally feel it's apt only during a conversation not during presentation. As we're always told to put life into our presentation during public speaking and voice over, depending on what you're trying to pass across. It shouldn't be calm all the way. I'm confused at this point, cause I'm someone who speaks calmly at the start of a public presentation, but in the process I begin to sound energetic, rush my words and put much emphasis into my presentation. Though, I usually notice the rapt attention in my audience , which has always given me the notion of a good public speaker, but stumbling on your video yesterday, makes me ask myself if I was doing it right or are these tips majorly meant for dialoguing?
@chellyberk fun fact, I’m holding a training next month and one of the feedback I received was that my voice is too calm and it’ll put the participants to sleep. I laughed because my conversation voice and presentation voice are two different things so you’re right. This is helpful during personal conversations while you want to be energetic and “perform” during public speaking or a presentation.
This video has my name on it in capital letter. I am the one that sounds like a man, has a loud voice, speaks very fast when angered, yell at the top of my voice while calling out a colleague or staff. This going to be my most watched video of yours. Been struggling and working soooooooooo hard to bring out my feminine self. Done being the strong lady
As you work on being more feminine, also be quick to forgive yourself if you make a mistake. It’ll help make your femininity journey easier. Remember to be kind to yourself beautiful 🤍
I am literally trying to teach my children this. Or I should say unteach them this bad habit I taught them. Ahhh joys of motherhood... most times I feel like I am learning just as much as they are! Makes me wish I didn't wait till my 30s to have my first child!
it's so funny how difficult yet easy this is. it's difficult to break away from what your used to and your habits, but it's so easy because soft, beautiful, femininity is our nature.
I wish I could say I “stumbled” across this video but I didn’t. I absolutely looked up “how to speak softer” and your video popped up. I really felt weird about looking this up because I’ve kinda accepted that I’m an aggressive talker. But I no longer want that for me. I’ve been happily single for about 2 years and focusing on growing my business. But I think that has put me deeeeeep in my masculine energy and I noticed I’m so unaligned with my energy. I want to be more intentional with the way I speak. Thank you
Back to school is coming soon and I'm moving to a new high school with people I don't know so I want there to be another look at me. I want to be more feminine and take care of myself more and I want to become stronger and more assertive. I want everyone who sees me to remember me and be noticed. And i'm working on this✨🧜🏻♀️
A lot of older ladies speak so softly and elegantly as if that were more the norm back when they were my age. It is so charming and makes them more attractive. Also the same with little girls when they speak. I have been on this journey for a minute and have gotten much better over the past 2 years and one of the most amazing perks is how much faster and more efficient customer service (whether male or female) helps me! I love it!
here because when i’m on the phone w my distant family, they tell me i sound like my 10 year old brother. i’m an 18 yr old woman aspiring to change that. thank you for this video!
I truly needed this. I am a loud person. My friend keeps telling me to lower my voice while talking... it's so embarrassing. I stutter and it is natural so I tend to use energy to pronounce some words. Thank you for this video
I appreciate your authentic voice in the video. Unlike other videos where the voice feels forced, yours feels genuine. Also, those examples you included? Absolute perfection! *Chef's kiss*
i enjoy using " like, uhm, and right " softly in conversation tbh, in a girlish way i practice this particularly with other gfs it's more to use for fun
Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed the information shared. Personally I am drawn to a well sounding voice but this video brought awareness to me which makes me excited to try. It showed me my imperfections when in company with my friends I ramble my words during an exciting conversation. So I'm happy I have something new and interesting to work towards. 🙂 🙌🏾❣
I started my soft last journey without even knowing, I noticed I was always loud and I needed to be more calm and elegant so I started working on myself. Thank you girl for this video is really helpful ❤
I found your channel when i actually needed to learn speaking intentionally , but i struggle the most finding the appropriate words for my tone so many times i just end up using slangs and short cut words like bro or yaar which we commonly use in India i want to learn more about the words and tone ❤❤ Well...... Now I'm Subscribed ❤
Yay! Glad to have you here... 🎉 Be kind to yourself and take it one day at a time. It may take a while to unlearn but if you commit to working on it, trust me, speaking eloquently and elegantly will become second nature...
Glad you like it because it was important to me that there’s inclusivity here too. It doesn’t matter the pitch of your voice, if you apply the tricks in the video, you’ll sound soft & feminine.
Thank you darling sist for reawakening me. Yes, I have almost forgotten who I was. Now I will be deliberately intentional with the way I speak with feminine voice.
@@ayanime_edem yes, please. You should. I'm sure many of us there still don't know there's some sweetness going on here😘 I want to ask you something, don't you act anymore?
I always look forward to your new videos because your videos are enlightening and I do enjoy them watching them.😇🤗🥰 However in my opinion, giving us the list of the points you discuss in the video as a recap, at the end of every video will enable us remember the points more.

I'm glad you found this video… Regarding what you’re struggling with, remember to take a few seconds to gather your thoughts… you can always say to your conversation partner: “give me a few seconds to gather my thoughts, I want to get my response right” 🤍
I really enjoyed this video, particularly where you addressed my favourite topic, the avoidance of overusing filer words while speaking! 😊 my take is that they make a person sound less intelligent or knowledgeable in their presentation. I instantly lose interest in what the speaker is saying and focus on the “like” mmm,”like” Not good at all.
I do the first thing and everyone always think I'm flirting with them. Im from the south so i naturally speak slow, it seems like i lose people attention when i speak. Ive had people tell me how slow i speak lol
I’m sure that will be the effect, it’s what I notice too when I practice the first tip. Regarding speaking slowly, if it’s TOO slow, you can see how to pick up the pace, so you don’t lose people’s attention 🤍
My mother and I are both trying to work on the way we speak and aside from volume we both have what I would call a punching laugh. We both laugh very loud and sharply and we want to rid ourselves of this. Any tips?
This is going to sound weird but you can start practicing what you want your new laugh to sound like… Another tip is to react a little more quietly when next something makes you laugh and even if you forget to, don’t beat yourself up… simply whisper to yourself “I’ll do better next time.” The amazing thing about this is that your brain will start reminding you of your intention to laugh a little less loudly. Now that you’ve set this intention, you’ll notice that more opportunities will come up for you to practice your new laugh, make the best of them and before long, it’ll be a part of you… …and my regards to your mom 🤍
How can you be soft when you have been living with a narcissist for the last 7 years, get cheated on and triggers you in the worst way possible and brings out the worst in you and yet he compares you to other soft woman. The irony of it!

When my love speaks to me softly, nor matter how I am angry, I calm down. A soft woman has a lot of power!
