I have being told by the historian in our family, Rick Doan, that Aaron Doan is my 6x great-grandfather. He was one of the Doan's that was exiled to Canada, which is why I am Canadian.

When I was much younger, I dated a young woman who lived on Buckingham Mountain. I was informed that the Doan gang had a hideout on Buckingham Mtn. I always wondered if they hid in the cave near Wolf Rocks - a site where the "Hermit of Buckingham Mountain" lived.

Just learned about the Down boys gang. Very interesting. I'm a one of 3 Doane boys from Philadelphia. we fit the description of those guys. Being a outlaw must be genetic

Levi Doan that’s cool to know. Do you have any history of the gang that you can share with me? I’m a detectorist out of bucks county, PA who has been searching for artifacts from the Doan gang for the past year. I’m finally around an area known to have been a hideout for the gang. I hope to be able to provide doylestown more historical artifacts from the gang themselves to display.
