    I had just settled on getting the Lily 2 Classic and needed to wait a few weeks to pay off some vet bills first, but was a bit disappointed it lacked the features the Active now includes. Only good thing to come from two sick pets I guess! But I had decided on the cream gold because I once saw a silver one in store and it looked dull and cheap. And now I'm back to trying to decide between the lunar gold and silver because I have just seen a photo of a silver one on a person and it looked shiny and nice so now I'm all 🤪 again!

    Hopefully this means a revamp vivomove series with GPS

    Thank you for advising the wrist size! Im buying on line and have a tiny wrist so these kind of watches usually look ridiculous on me.

    Might pick this one up! Thank you. It looks good on a smaller wrist mine is 5.25” and my instinct 2s looks pretty beefy.

    Maybe a good present for my wife, she got the lily 1 and the missing gps on that watch is a real bummer.

    the strap lugs look way better than lily 2... and good that they moved to the more standard charging cable

    I have a video idea for you: which watch to buy for the elderly / your parents? realistically it needs a field research, but your own evaluation of ease of use and health features useful for them should be a good starting point.

      This is the boat I'm in. I'm jumping from Fitbit to Garmin and am looking into both the Lily 2 Active and the Vivoactive 5. They're priced the same and comparable with features. Considering my Fitbit device was/is the One, I don't need a lot of bells & whistles. I'm curious as to the primary reason why someone would choose the L2A over the VA5 if they're pretty similar.

      @@kw348 I'm the same, had a Fitbit for years and going to switch to Garmin. I am going with the Lily Active over the Vivoactive simply because it looks nicer as a day to day watch.

      My partner has the vivoactive 5. It is huge on my wrist and isn't comfortable to wear for that reason. I want the features of the vivoactive 5 but in a smaller watch. Lily 2 active seems to be the best compromise in terms of size and features that are important to me.

    Great review! When you're working out in exercise mode, do you still have to turn your wrist to see your stats? That seems kind of cumbersome.

      Great, question. Also interested in the answer to this. I would like to think during the exercise (ie run) the watch face would stay on for the entirety of the exercise. Is this the case?

    Would you recommend this one over the Venue 3s?
    And is it too small for (smaller) men’s wrists or acceptable?

  • @kw348

    Loved the video! I'm jumping from Fitbit to Garmin and am considering the Lily 2 Active. Related to cycling, did you mention that you need to add a speed or cadence sensor b/c it doesn't track speed during a ride? Is speed one of the things you can track & see on face of the watch during the activity? Also, same thing with heart rate. Do you need to add a heart rate sensor or is it just more accurate with a sensor?
    Regarding the buttons, are you able to navigate through all the menus & faces by buttons only OR are there some times where you do have to use the touch screen to get through certain menus?
    Thank you!

    • @DesFit
      @DesFit  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It has built in GPS so no need for a speed sensor to track speed and distance outdoors, but a speed sensor is needed indoors for speed and distance. You can see that information on the display during cycling. It also has a built in heart rate sensor - using an external sensor will just get better accuracy with some activities. You will have to use the touchscreen to navigate through some areas of the interface.

    Hello, my wife just got this and the screen display isnt waking up when she rotates her wrist. She can only wake it up with a double tap. Is there a setting she needs to change?

    • @kw348
      @kw348 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! I just purchased this myself and the only times (for me) when the watch face either doesn't wake up or doesn't wake up quickly & needs a double tap: If I'm laying down or my arm is in a different position OR when I'm asleep. You might want to check to see if the watch is on do not disturb. I think that does require a double tap.
