    Living a sunny climate, not wanting phone , dive features or speaker but retaining and functions of fenix make this a great step up from my fenix solar 6x

    I love my enduro 3, upgraded from fenix 6x sapphire 🤩👌

    Long-distance hikers should definitely pick Enduro 3 over Fenix 8. The battery life is just amazing. So far I really like this. Previously I had Fenix 6x Sapphire, which also performed well.

      I've just ordered this watch. Not much of a runner more long hikes, backpacking and MTB. I currently have an old 735xt so this is a big upgrade for me 😂

    Nice review guys! Do you guys feel that the new buttons on the fenix 8 will be more durable since it doesn’t use o-rings? Not just for water but other debris such as sand,dirt etc?

    Hey Guys🤙
    Thanks for your amazing reviews❤ I am a new member of your channel.
    What different wrist sizes do you 3 guys have? This would be great orientation for your audience, that maybe is interested in this information. I am😉
    Kind regards, Benjamin✌️

    Back is not titanium. The case, including the back is polymer. Only the bezel is metal/titanium.

    This watch is amazing! I upgraded from the 7 Sapphire Solar and the screen is much better and the battery life is bonkers. Definitely this is the best watch Garmin offers. And who cares about the smart features - when you're training hard you shouldn't be on your bloody phone anyway!

    what are the circumfrences of your 3 wrists? Was the extra thickness noticable? Did you find yourselves snagging it on anything?

    Great review and thoughts guys. Just wondering if you could answer a quick question for me please. What is the battery drain on the sleep tracking? Some of you noted 1 - 2% overnight drain, was that sleep tracking or just leaving the watch on a bedside table? I ask as I currently have a Instinct 2X which is great, about 1% sleep battery drain and I get just over 2 weeks battery doing 20 + miles per week plus other workouts. Used to have a Fenix 6 Solar and I used to loose 5 - 6% overnight with sleep tacking which was too much.

    I was missing one thing on the dislike ‘list’ - the long push to get to the Home Screen should b brought back. Apart from that I really like my new watch and sees it as a good update from my Fenix 7x.

      @DanielFriis 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can edit the shortcuts so that one of the buttons act as a home button, either with short or long press.

      @ Have just learnt that you can get back to the Home Screen by covering the watch with your hand som that the light sensor turn off the backlight.

    Typically I would say to get one of the older watches, but I think that’s kind of bad advice right now. They have completely changed their software platform for these watches going forward. So it used to be that the older watch that you were buying was still going to get updated, that’s less likely the case now.

    • @robhunt8378
      @robhunt8378 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Personally I think people are too obsessed about updates. It's a sports watch after all. If it does what I need out of it on day one, that's more than OK for me, it's good for years.. There's bug-fixing to consider but that's a double-edged sword since newest updates also introduce bugs that previous firmware versions didn't have.

      @@robhunt8378 I def prefer getting new features on a watch I already own. It’s why I use Apple products. Coros has proven customers love that!

  • @tb693ny6

    I know the Enduro 3 doesn’t have the Red Shift mode, how is it in the dark with the MIP screen? I’m assuming you’d have to tap the screen/button or have raised to wake to see the screen lmk

    • @basketballer852
      @basketballer852 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      MIP screens don’t emit light so you would need the backlight to see anything in the dark.

    • @martinweston8147
      @martinweston8147 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      But they do reflect light well so if your running with a head torch you can keep the back light off

    Garmin customer service is horrible... absolutely the worst when you consider how much they are asking for these devices. My screen failed and now I have a $1000.00 paperweight. Buy something cheaper from another band.

      @@alexandrusuciu8275 The appearance of a watch is obviously not insignificant. And this watch is supposed to be worn every day lol.
      Sad that Garmin allowed it due to some manufactured need to make their watch lines visually distinct at a glance.

      I'm not sure if it bothers me that much to make it into a dealbreaker but I'm not a huge fan of this kind of accents either and I agree with you that the look of a watch matters and it's a personal thing.

    I don't see battery life mattering past 4-5 days. Obviously, there are some more extreme scenarios where you could want more, like a multi-week backpacking trip, but for an exercise watch, I mean...a couple days is all it needs.
