Great vid and great fishing, John! Part of your charm is how you are amazed and excited about every fish, no matter the size. Thank you for such great, gentle and fun vids. Merry Christmas to you and yours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
John, thank you for the 2024 videos you have made. I have watched and enjoyed many of them over the year. Merry Christmas to you and your family. I hope that the new year 2025 brings you good health and happiness.
One thing I can say I'll never tell another adult how to fish, do you as long as you're enjoying yourself. Enjoy yourself I sure enjoyed watching you doing you your way no judgement here. 👍
I said it years ago watch watching your station and I loved it still do but I said if he ever come down our away South Florida and fish you was going to love it and I notice a lot of viewers we used to throw that out there back then look at you now LOL you love it you made a lot of trips so far down our yes it is addictive we have fish everywhere and you still haven't seen even more spots we have water is everywhere tens of thousands of Canals to choose from 💯👍🐟🎣❤️🙏
Love the FLA fishing! John, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and I want to thank you so much for bringing me and the other folks so much joy! When I see you have a new video uploaded, my mood just picks up! Thank you for your testimony too! ❤️
Man...if I had a Great Truck, and plenty of money in the Bank Account for Gas and expenses, I'd take off tomorrow morning, go down there, and maybe even spend the Winter down there! And-If I found me a good place to live...and a good Woman..... Hey! I'd make it a permanent thing!!!
Right in line with the fabulous Creek Fishing Adventures we've come to know and love. Those Oscars were feisty for sure. Hate to break it to you but I've seen a gator around Florida that size and he wasn't my little gator buddy 😅😅. And my wife bought me the same fine CFA hat you were wearing just in time for Christmas. Blessings in 2025 brother
I fished some canal/creeks south of Miami back in the early 1970s. Lots of cichlids that wouldn't hit anything. Saw some large snook, but they wouldn't hit anything either. The gator population hadn't increased yet. We caught a mangrove snapper and grunt here and there. No LM bass.
John bringing another epic Florida adventure thank you so much and appreciate these videos so much. John May you have an awesome and blessed Christmas a new year that has reaching creeks and rivers in different countries or even continents! Let’s go 2025 tight lines take care and God bless!
Seen you fishing on the side of the road when I came back fishing from Everglades city, thought nothing of it and now I see your video on TH-cam 😂 nice catch
Looks a good place. Glad we don't have gators over here lol. A lot warmer too. I was fishing for Pike recently in -2°C but as long as we fishing its all good.....but made the video harder with camera fogging lol. Hope you have a Great Christmas
When fishing have you ever taken your jigs and rub them against the fish that you've caught? It helps turning your lures into something more natural tasting and they hold on to it.
Your...umm.... Crocodile Friend, across the River, was probably only interested in either watching you catch fish...or just soakin' up whatever Warmth of the Winter Sun, that it could get. Looks like you had fun! Great video, and don't get eaten by the Crocs, or the Alligators, ok? You keep a sharp eye out for those things! That's an order, Soldier!
My Parents used to live in Florida and I would visit every year but never did much fishing... Here and there for a little bit. It wasn't until the last visit a few years back that I actually went out looking for any of the non-native species. I saw a few Peacocks but couldn't catch any. I don't like being that close to the gators! I would definitely want something on my hip, just in case.
Almost took a head dive stepping over the guard rail..... Memorial sign will read "Creek and Freshwater specialist swims with 🐊Alligator's🐊 as last hoorah" . Will be remembered as God loving and adventurous spirit. We all loved you John.
I would love to come to Florida and fish like this. I would never ask where your spots are but maybe you could share some hwy numbers or towns? If not i understood. Thanks for all the videos!
Sick video mate! Cool spot and nice fish! I’ve been subscribed mate and I’m loving the videos! I’ve gotta get out and make another video! Keep up the good work mate! 🤝🤝💪💪
Been enjoying your shows a long time and just realized I wasn't subscribed so I took care of that. Do those exotic fish down there bite in winter? Would love to go down there and fish in those canals and ditches with a fly rod someday.
I don't care what pound line it is or how he sets his drag I never tell another adult how to do his thing when fishing its your thang do what you wanna do.
Been wanting to do what you’re doing for a while. Are you fishing off 41? I think if you keep going east you may hit some Peacocks. There are some in Collier county towards Naples area too. Perfect time of year to be there. Cool and less buggy.
Theres gators here, gives his back to the water 30 seconds later. Heres a tip for the younger viewers and everyone in general. NEVER, EVER, GIVE your BACK (turn your back) to a BODY of WATER. or you will end up a BODY in WATER.
A man, a couple rods, and a creek = JOY.
Those Oscar sure do fight hard it looks like!!! Wooooooo weeeeeeeeeee!!!! Would LOVE to have opportunity to catch them someday!! Epic video buddy
You always seem to have the most fun than any other fishing channel honestly.
Great vid and great fishing, John! Part of your charm is how you are amazed and excited about every fish, no matter the size. Thank you for such great, gentle and fun vids. Merry Christmas to you and yours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I wish he could catch one and send it to me for my aquarium haha

I'll be down there in 3 weeks and cannot wait!
Peacock love them white or lighter colored lures. Also, the hotter it gets, the more aggressive they get. You'll smash it if you keep at it

“Little gator friend”-John the comedian.
You keep reeling against the drag and your line will have more twist than a pretzel factory.
great video and great fishing!! look like you had a great time!! love your videos and channels.!! have a good day and week. take care and god bless.
John you need a small towel on a belt hook I always have one bluegill are pretty slimey also great way to stay slime free lol. Merry Christmas

Nice one John!
Be careful if you rinse your hands along the bank..the gators try to get a little too friendly..you'll be leaping over those guard rails in a hurry..
My kind of fishing! Good video...
My Parents used to live in Florida and I would visit every year but never did much fishing... Here and there for a little bit. Love my made in USA TFO rod
Almost took a head dive stepping over the guard rail..... Memorial sign will read "Creek and Freshwater specialist swims with 🐊Alligator's🐊 as last hoorah" . Will be remembered as God loving and adventurous spirit. We all loved you John.
Lol
Good job kicking fish back into the water
If you can find some of those 5' drain pipes on the south side of the road, there is current, especially after a rain.
I would love to come to Florida and fish like this. I would never ask where your spots are but maybe you could share some hwy numbers or towns? If not i understood. Thanks for all the videos!

60 years ago i use to fish in the canals in the everglades. always caught fish. just had to watch out for gators and snakes.
🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣👍👍👍👍👍 great video man.
Been enjoying your shows a long time and just realized I wasn't subscribed so I took care of that. Do those exotic fish down there bite in winter? Would love to go down there and fish in those canals and ditches with a fly rod someday.

Awesome
Nice bro
Great videos. Watch out for gators you bet.
Nice
Someone noticed my Creek Fishing Adventures wristband when I was at Dick’s earlier haha
thats pretty neat
What part of Florida is this?
How to catch fish in the winter 🎣
Step 1: go to Florida
Ha!
Is it OK to eat fish out of these Florida canals?
yes, people do it every day
Where is this
Are Oscars any good to eat?
Yes very GOOD!
You need to tighten up that drag.
Then there is less drama
@@BT1919 There is no drama on 5-6 inch bluegills.
@ maybe not to YOU. But you also made my point because I agree with you. But the drag thing is an attempt to add some drama
Could be 2lbs line.
I don't care what pound line it is or how he sets his drag I never tell another adult how to do his thing when fishing its your thang do what you wanna do.
Are you fishing the east coast here?...
That looks like the canals off of 29
Dude, tighten that drag half a turn. It’s annoying 😂
What road it that? 41?
839
Is this on 29?
Been wanting to do what you’re doing for a while. Are you fishing off 41? I think if you keep going east you may hit some Peacocks. There are some in Collier county towards Naples area too. Perfect time of year to be there. Cool and less buggy.
i was close to 41
Everytime in my Big brother's neighborhood in north Lauderdale, i have to break out google to figure out what i landed🐳
Hot tip- Use a chicken leg to catch gator next time
I might be seeing this wrong that’s just a bream not a bluegill just bream lives in Florida all my life that’s not a sun fish not we call them anyway
bream is slang for different sunfish
Bream isn’t a species of fish. Just a general nickname of various actual sunfish species.
Theres gators here, gives his back to the water 30 seconds later.
Heres a tip for the younger viewers and everyone in general. NEVER, EVER, GIVE your BACK (turn your back) to a BODY of WATER.
or you will end up a BODY in WATER.
What’s the ultra light setup and hothead size vid plz
Comment for the rhythm! Making me want to take a trip to Florida! 😂
(Hee hee hee hee hee)!!! Same here!!! I love me some warm weather, good fishin'....And some purty Women to check out
@ronaldshank7589 😂😂 the state of plenty across the board lol not sure about this area though gotta go to the beach for the ladies 😂😂
You shouldn't reel when your drag is going it twist your line
Doesn’t matter with braid. As soon as braid touches water, it loses all the built up memory.
Was taught not to reel when drag is pulling as it will twist the line. Nice video!
Tighten your drag!
Those Oscars are invasive. It's recommended you toss em in the grass if you catch em
Not sure if I'd want to stand there ...... I prefer not to BE the catch.
Those aren’t Oscar’s. Those are Mayan Cichlids
They are Oscar's. Mayans have vertical stripes.
You're Florida please go catch a giant . It doesn't have to be a bass but anything with some weight.
You’re very mean to the public and your family don’t pretend it’s a dark side of you.
