They make an inexpensive bourbon that is quite good, but don't seem to want to promote it. It's called Heaven Hill Old Style Bourbon. It's a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey that comes in 1 liter bottles. I recently bought 2 bottles for $11 each. First I bought one, but was so impressed that I went back and bought another. It's aged 3 years so the nose is not rich and complex, but it's very smooth and pleasant to drink. In fact, it's a great neat sippin' whiskey. It may not win any awards, but it's surprisingly good. I have plenty of very expensive whiskeys, but after drinking this I don't feel the need to pay big bucks anymore.
I don't know if this is the same as the Heaven Hill Green lable or not. It is my understanding that HH Green Lable is only available locally, it is not promoted or adverised. It is bottled and sold at s low price point especailly for locals including HH employees.

I live in Ohio but picked up two 1.75-liter bottle for $17.50 each in Florida (tax was cheaper than Ohio). White label with green lettering usually on the bottom shelf at the liquor store. Heaven Hill does not promote this label on their website or anywhere from what I have seen. Exceptionally smooth sipping or for mixed drinks.
Heaven Hill Distilleries also supplies a brand called J.T.S. Brown. At $8 a bottle its the best bang for your buck you'll get in a bourbon. The only problem....You can only buy it in Kentucky.
They probably use the best spots in the rick house for their Evan Williams extra aged bourbon .,.. That's the bourbon that pays their bills....its affordable and people will drink it regularly as apposed to just storing one bottle of ridiculously priced premium bourbon.
If I hear that ridiculous story about Elijah Craig accidentally charring his barrels I’m gonna go mad haha. Charring barrels has been known since the 1600s and probably earlier. Also rye and barley don’t grow that well in Ky.
I think they are doing themselves a disservice by continuing to sell the nas. Noone who bought the 12yr buys it that I know. The 12yr cask strength is the best in show. Heavin Hill bib is very good. Rittonhouse and Pikesv rye is the best stuff you ever put into your mouth.

To bad they got rid of the elijah craig 12 yr. The nas stuff is so so. Now it's just about the money in my opinion.

They do sell the 12 yr old, but now it is uncut, full barrel strength. Batch a and c are liquid gold for the price.
I bought a couple bottles of the McKenna last week. First time to try it. It's exceptional! Very reasonably priced where I purchased it.
Laurence Magnes just got a couple of bottles today and i am having a glass right now. Very nice flavor, and i will be getting more of it.
