Beautiful photography and music. Looks like I am getting ready to watch a really good movie.
Thank you very much!
LisaR: I live an hr from Rhinebeck. Over the years , we've had every kind of weather from ice rain, snow , to sunny & 90. The most common weather is crisp mornings , and clear sunny high 60sF . Layer dressing works best for me so far . The weather forecast a week prior is pretty accurate.. but count on significant change in am to afternoon temps. The colors and yarns you've chosen for your projects are gorgeous!! Have fun choosing what to bring , you can't go wrong ❤
Tamy Gore has wonderful patterns. They're so fun! I've test knit a few and enjoyed all of them.
absolutely love the colors, I LOVE Fall
Good luck with all your test knits and all the knitting and sewing. Love watching your videos ❤
Thank you so much!
Loved all the knitting, all the yarn all the colours but oh! That sad sad song at the end really disturbed me! I need to know the story behind it, and more to the point, that everything worked out fine!
I love the colors you chose for your Color Craze shawl !!!❤
Thank you!
Love the colors of your color craze shawl. You got a serger! Yay!
Yes! Thank you!
Love love love your colour choices ❤❤❤❤❤
I love your dress and Turtle Dove cardigan! And of course the shawl!!!
Thank you
Your Turtle Dove cardigan is stunning! That watermelon looked yummy. 😋
It's so good!
I just live your aesthetic! So lovely.
Thank you for another great podcast. I am also, planning on knitting the turtle dove cardigan as soon as I can get my hands on the Laine magazine. Agreed the yarn from Sonder is lovely. I have made the turtle dove a couple of time and it’s a winner! The colours of your shawl are exquisite, you were hilarious trying to juggle all the colours, I had a good laugh! I loved the trip through the garden and your lovely dinner. Have a wonderful time at Rhinebeck! Looking forward to the next podcast!
Thank you!
This video Vlog gave me so many exciting autumn vibes. I am totally pumped right now. I’m finishing up a petite knit Sophie shawl, and then I’m going to make the Sunday sweater from Petite Knit as well! Thanks so much for sharing. Such a great inspirational video. Happy knitting.
Helli from Finland. Love your style and colors 🧡
Oh thank you!
Love your Turtle Dove cardi. It seems to be a garment that would also look great with a zipper. I'm excited to see the progress on your shawl. The colors you selected are so versatile. I've never done brioche so maybe I'll give this a shot. Thanks for sharing!
❤❤❤❤
This cardigan is fantastic!! I MUST make one!!
Yes!!!
Beautiful projects. Your shawl would be great for Rhinebeck if the afternoons are warm.
I’m hoping it will work well
Hello from Mounds, Illinois.
You and I must like the same colors. That golden color on the cardigan is so warm, inviting, sunny and cozy all at the same time.🌞🍂
Yes! Thank you!
I love your podcast Kaci!!! Saludos desde Santiago, Chile!!!
Mil gracias!!
Great video! love all your videos, and your colors are so beautiful. Have to find that music too, I could listen to that all day long. :)
Thank you so much!
Beautiful video cast.
Glad you enjoyed it
Love your color choices.! 😊
Thank you! 😊
You are such a joy to spend time with. The test knit has definitely caught my interest. Your knits are all lovely. I love the way your sewing projects turn out. Thank you for sharing your talents. ❤
Thank you so much!
Love the shawl, you can finish that for Rhinebeck!! ❤
Yesssss
for bias binding necklines, you can get linen or cotton or nice bias binding on the roll- I never make binding from my fabric because of the waste you mention and it means I can get away with buying less fabric - which is great when you have an addiction to merchant and mills...!! aha. You can get some really nice binding- can be a pretty hidden contrast.
Great tip!❤❤❤❤
Hava look at the FEN dress pattern very similar to the dress you're made. The top has darts, there's pockets and I make mine from linen/linen mix/ cotton. I've made 12 dresses from this pattern. Im size 18 and I buy 1.2 mts of wide fabric, but I can fudge with layout and cutting.
I'll check it out!
Oh my gosh, the color of that cardigan is stunning 😳
Thank you ❤
Have two Magners. Really like them.
Yes!!!!
Greetings from Finland! Thank you for your episode. Happy knitting!
Thanks for watching!
I love watching and listening to your podcasts. I just signed up for a class from Sew Liberated to learn to properly sew up a bodice in a dress and I solidly blame you and your lovely sinen dresses. Thank you!

@@YoungfolkKnits 🥰🥰🥰
Love this podcast and I welcome you every Thursday morning for breakfast! I had to laugh when I watched you trying to manage the yarn showing for the Colorcraze shawl. It reminded me of some long straight needles….long….that I found to put Bert figures on top of for my granddaughter’s birthday centerpieces. If you have one in your ‘tool box’ you could slip those wound skeins on those to show the colors. I just picked up a few more at a shop….some are definitely bent, but they will work for display purposes just fine. Creabea’s new sweater is gorgeous and Love the colors you are using.
That’s a great idea!
Thank you so much for the lovely podcast, I have patterns added to my favorites now! Also: I listened to you and Becky today and have to say I cut out pattern pieces and it *totally* does me in and I don’t sew anything until the next day or later, so agree with y’all there ❤
Hahah yes! It wears me out
This is only the second video I've watched of yours (the other one was Nora Ephron Fall) I absolutely love, the patterns you present, the colors you chose, and also the music you played on both episodes I've viewed. Can you share who the artists are in the notes? Thank you for being you, from Cathy in New Brunswick Canada.
Oh goodness Rhinebeck two years ago (I think?) it was 80-90 degrees! I about died! 😂 here’s to cool fall weather this year. And I loved this episode 💗
I hope so!
K that cardigan is insane❤I love your dress! It's 😍 beautiful! I bought the tate romper today and I'm hoping to make it this weekend!!😊
Ooooooo I can’t wait to see it
This was an exceptionally beautiful video. I love the new intro and I especially love all the fall colors you knit with and the way your backdrop ties into it. I live in NW Arkansas and haven’t found any good yarn shops here. Do you have any places you like to go? Also, are there any fiber festivals nearby? Btw I love the colors you chose for your beautiful dress, and your sweaters coordinate so beautifully with it!
And I just changed my username to unbranded bc I’m a real estate agent and have to have an unbranded TH-cam channel to post house videos on so that I can create a link to put on MLS. (Agents get fined if we have our names or firm’s name visible in the video links.) I do have another unbranded channel, but I forgot my password for that one and had to change this one over the weekend. So I am indeed a real person!
Loving your projects! I’m also loving your channel music, do you have a Spotify channel?
I love my turtle dove jumper, it’s so comfortable and wearable and definitely my most worn sweater so I’m super excited to see how the cardigan seems to fit people. I’d be tempted to add toggles to it though so I can close it up…
It's so good!
I so love to watch your podcasts and all the knitting projects, not to mention all your finished knitting thank you for sharing each week. Love the music where do you find it would love to listen to it. Until next week 😊
Thank you so much! The song is called Almost the same”
Just discovered your channel & love seeing all your projects. Your color selections are sooo perfect! I'm so curious for an update on the T Swift inspired tee 👀
Thank you so much! I have fallen off the wagon on the pattern writing. I need to get it finished
@@YoungfolkKnits ah such is life! So many pretty things to knit, so little time! 😄
There aren't record highs all over the country. I'm on the east coast and it's been unseasonably cold here. 40's in June ,and today, August 18th is 70 degrees. Don't believe everything you see on TV. It's going to be an early fall.
True! 2020 here in Virginia was much hotter and actually was record-breaking. This summer has been pretty normal with a longer Spring than usual.
I wouldn’t worry too much about heat for rhinebeck. I’ve been going for years, everyone comes drenched in handknits. Especially in the morning people are covered and the layers come off throughout the day. There have been a lot of mornings in the 40s and sometimes it might hit 70s in the afternoon but generally it stays down in the 60s
That would be great! I’ll have options for sure 😂
Love love love!! Can I ask what the name of the song is at the end of the video?
Great video 🎉 who is singing the song? I love it.❤
The song is called almost the same by Peter Crosby
Is Rhinebeck the Sheep and Wool festival in NY? I'm from Upstate NY and it would be so fun to visit my mom and take a trip out there with her.
Yes!!!!
@@YoungfolkKnits I already booked the flights for me and my daughters to spend the week visiting grandma. I’m soo excited! I haven’t been to NY in 7 years. It’s going to be the perfect time of year to see all the pretty foliage.
Can you put up a link to your ravelry page? I tried to find it and can’t for some reason. Would love to see all the projects you’ve made, especially all the test knits you do.
So sorry I actually changed my name on Ravelry to YoungFolkknits
Where do u get your sewing patterns?
A lot from sew liberated!
What is the song at the end?
“Almost the same” by Peter crosby
Hello. My name is Glenys. I am a knitter and also grew up in a diary farm in Australia.
Hello!
I am surprised that you cardigan is a green. It looks mustard or ocher on my screen. Isn’t that funny!
I know! I edit my videos and it changes the saturation a bit. It’s actually a grungy green apple color 🍏
