This is the video that convinced me in buying my new Elantra. I owned a Sentra for 5 years and before upgrading to the newer model, I figured I’d look into other brands in its class. The Elantra was on my list. Test drove both of them. The new Sentra’s interior was way better upgraded than my 2017 version. But as soon as I sat inside the Elantra, I fell in love with it immediately. The amount of tech you get for the money is insane. I’m 33,000 miles in on my limited trim and I have had no issues. It’s a great car. Can’t wait for the chance to get the N model someday.
I’m a Hyundai guy. Have had an Elantra Limited since 2015. It has been perfect in operation since day one. Never needed the 5 year 60000 bumper warranty or the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty. 61000 miles so far. Has only needed regular maintenance tires main battery and front break pads. Oh yea, wiper blades too! Love my Hyundai!!!!
We bought our first Hyundai in 2002, the Elantra! And we didn’t get rid of that car until it had 175,000 on it!! Only major thing that went after the warranty ended was the catalytic converter, which eventually goes on basically all cars anyway. And then a few hose and sensor replacements, again totally normal wear. Oh, and if we tried to top off the gas, it would shoot back out a bit 😂 Come to find out, you’re really not supposed to top off your gas tank, it messes with the sensor in your gas tank that gauges the gas level. Other than that, that thing served us well. It was a beast, best $13,000 we ever spent. Before that we’d buy used cars and then spend a load on repairs for however long we could keep it running. That Elantra changed everything for us. So in the past 19 years we’ve remained loyal Hyundai customers. We just bought our 5th Hyundai, this 2021 Elantra for my daughter! We got her the SEL with the convenience and premium packages which brings it up to right to to below the limited trim in features! The limited for some reason loses the wireless Apple CarPlay, which I cannot understand why. The only thing I can think of is maybe it interferes with the navigation that the limited comes with that the SEL doesn’t? Really nice sporty looking car, jam packed with tech and safety features, makes this mama a bit less anxious about her being on the road ☺️ Out of all of the Hyundai’s we’ve owned, 2014 Santa Fe Ultimate with the third row, 2017 Santa Fe Sport (which got totaled in an terrible accident but all I got was a scratch in my knuckle) and my 2018.5 Sonata Limited 2.0t, only one had any need for a major repair BUT because of Hyundai’s incomparable warranty they fixed the problem (couldn’t repair the transmission in the 2014 Santa Fe so they replaced it with a brand new one, not rebuilt) and gave us a loaner car while it was in the shop - all at no cost to us. We won’t buy anything else anymore. As long as you keep up with the recommended routine maintenance schedule, your Hyundai will serve you well!

I love Nissan but it had a strong past now, why is it not strong before? Hyundai is ok, but not the power of Nissan. I hope the Sentra car is strong, and the problem is the maintenance in it, not like Hyundai
Nissan has a long history of great cars. It’s just when Renault and Nissan joined together that Nissan quality dropped and just recently picked up again.
I am in favor of the Elantra, after test driving both. However, it seems suspicious to have an ad for that particular Elantra in a video where you can compare two cars against each other.
That’s a scam,,,if you don’t do all the maintenance with them when it’s time they won’t honor that warranty when it comes time to use it. Been there done that…won’t fall for, that scam again
No thank you on the Sentra. Visited a Nissan dealership…initially saw a Sentra with body gaps (between the hood, bumper and headlights). I though maybe it was the only one…nope, all sentras in that lot. Some of the Kicks rear hatch was also uneven to the rear bumper. Walked away. RIP 90s Nissan.
Tried an elantra last weekend and feels so cheap inside. This weekend I will try the sentra SR of course both cars with manual transmissions... I dont trust the CVTs...
This is exactly how I felt a few days ago when I went to test drive one. I am considering getting the limited one, but I decided to see what the new Sentra was like. I am really liking the exterior design. I also agree about being wary about the CVT but keep in mind Hyundai has many problems as well. Like most recently, the last gen Elantra was prone to catching on fire, and Hyundai had to pay out a class action lawsuit. The 2021 Hyundai Elantra just came out and it already has 3 recalls, one of which is an important safety recall which can cause injuries during an accident if not taken care of. So far the Sentra doesn't have any recalls. The Civic with an equal spec to both of these, costs more and the Corolla looks ugly. So there are really only 2 options for meand right now I am leaning towards the Sentra.
@@Sinz_-fl9nj Because there are cars at a similar price range with a much better interior. The Accord is only $2k more and has a much better materials throughout
This isn't fair. The Elantra is miles/kilometers ahead of the Sentra. Design is personal but the driving characters, space, interior materials, and tech in the Elantra make the Sentra look 10 years outdated.
My son just bought the 2021 Elantra.... he loves it. But I actually can't stand how it looks.. I think it looks cheap. I don't like the new side design..... ugly, imo.
Sentra looks way more beautiful than Elantra, it does share exterior lines with other Nissan cars, but there is nothing wrong with it. Look at Mercedes CLA people call it mini CLS
The Sentra has 44" of front legroom and the Elantra has 42.3". Don't know where you're getting the idea that the Elantra has more legroom. The Sentra also has "zero gravity" seats whereas the Elantra has pretty basic seats that most reviewers found kind of thin.
Lol cant even compare no more The Hyundai elantra eats the New Nissan Sentra, absolutely annihilates the new Sentra, plus the elantra wont be an unreliable junk box like the junky Nissan

😊 of course Sentra has a Sport mode -- it’s a little button on the back of the gear knob .... push the button and see the way it drives.... goosebumps
Does it make that big of a difference?
Actually, it does
@@deadsea98 Love the styling but think i will wait until HOPEFULLY they come out with a nismo trim.
In Canada you can get a Sentra with a manual.
Sentra has a sport mode its a small button located on the shifter nob has a line across it
I love Nissan but it had a strong past now, why is it not strong before? Hyundai is ok, but not the power of Nissan. I hope the Sentra car is strong, and the problem is the maintenance in it, not like Hyundai
Nissan has a long history of great cars. It’s just when Renault and Nissan joined together that Nissan quality dropped and just recently picked up again.
I am in favor of the Elantra, after test driving both. However, it seems suspicious to have an ad for that particular Elantra in a video where you can compare two cars against each other.
Cant compete with 10/100k warranty. That alone shuts down the argument .
That’s a scam,,,if you don’t do all the maintenance with them when it’s time they won’t honor that warranty when it comes time to use it. Been there done that…won’t fall for, that scam again
I still like my Nissan Sentra better it's a solid car looks also nicer than Elantra. Hyundai Elantra is a cheaper quality car in my opinion.
Elantra is way more luxurious looking and feeling
How tall are you sam???
6.2
I don't care if this old guy looks homeless, I love the straight forward honest reviews. Keep up the good work! 💙
Thank you
You just wanted to say that he looks homeless..
What was even the point of u saying that?.. he doesn’t look homeless
😂
والله شي يقطع القلب السنترا حقتهم ما شاء الله مافي احلى منها والسنترا حقتنا الله يستر عليها ولو يمديني اجيب السنترا ذي للسعوديه بس
There is a sport mode on the shifter
Thee manual transmission offer is actually opposite as of 2022 Only Sentra offers manual in base model despite what website says
I'm sure this generation most sentras sold will be the manual one.
If it feels cheap inside then why are you shopping at that price point? Its not an expensive car.
@@Sinz_-fl9nj Because there are cars at a similar price range with a much better interior. The Accord is only $2k more and has a much better materials throughout
This is between S.Korea vs. Japan, so i'll go for japanese cars because it's more reliable car and too fast too furious. Nissan ☝️😎
I don't like the new side design..... ugly, imo.
It is cheap though it’s a compact sedan
Hyundai Elantra 👍
My vote goes to the Elantra. Looks better inside and out.
Sentra looks way more beautiful than Elantra, it does share exterior lines with other Nissan cars, but there is nothing wrong with it.
Look at Mercedes CLA people call it mini CLS
The Sentra looks pretty good. I would literally just buy it for the looks because the other car is ugly
“The other car” killed me lmao jajaja
I would go with the Elantra. Who wants a Sentra which looks just like the versa and the Altima. The Elantra is gorgeous!
Who wants a HIDEOUS HYUNDAI 😆😆😆😆😆😆🤢🤢🤮🤮🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
The Sentra has 44" of front legroom and the Elantra has 42.3". Don't know where you're getting the idea that the Elantra has more legroom. The Sentra also has "zero gravity" seats whereas the Elantra has pretty basic seats that most reviewers found kind of thin.
Tried both of them. Bought a Sentra SV.
Good luck with the CVT.
Lol cant even compare no more
The Hyundai elantra eats the New Nissan Sentra, absolutely annihilates the new Sentra, plus the elantra wont be an unreliable junk box like the junky Nissan
