Wow! Thank you for your transparency 🔥 Keep grinding!
Get it buddy. I just signed up today for a barber program in my town. Start next month. I’m so excited! Trying to really watch more and more TH-cam videos to get insight from different barbers! :)

am barely starting my journey .. and i appreciate the video man .. gotta put in the hardwork to get there..
You got this!
Where are u that people can afford to pay these prices ? God bless u for being able to make that kind of money for what u do.
Thank you and I'm in Philadelphia, not everyone charge these pieces some charge less some charge more then I do. But it took me 20 years to build this type of clientle. I appreciate the love God bless
@@jefecutsDefinitely blessed hermano and you’ve earned it!👊🏽
100% you have to put that time in…. I don’t charge that much. I’m at 45 a cut…. But believe he’s 100% on point when 650-750 is the daily take.
It’s 80$ a cut ❤ BORICUA
I truly respect your grind and gratitude. but I’m not paying anything near a 100 dollars for a cut 50 is the highest I’m going and that’s if I come in on a Sunday which is not likely.
Awesome work my guy..
I have always been drawn to babering..iv wanted to learn the trade but never took the leap..i def believe i cld gave the tallent to pick it up..
I a father of 5 with a 9 to 5 job making ok money but still scraping buy..
Iv been looking to find something on the side to make extra money and babering has alway been one of them..
I am 41yr old..
Idk if it too late to make the jump.
I def enjoyed this video and subbed right away..
I live in Florida also..
I have a buddy who is very well know innthe baber world and does some out of the world work..fabian fadez
I have asked him in the past if he would show me some tricks and there is a school loacal to me also..
You're to old or is to late to learn a skill brother
Ok but do you have to do the whole baseball cap, glasses, rando logo tshirt thing? I kind of hoped that was that optional
It’s all about where you live, in the late 90s a Caesar was like 13 and a shape up was 8. That was also over 20 years ago, nothing is the same price
I'm not knocking the hustle, but I don't know what happened to the rate of inflation on haircuts. 70$ for a basic taper is insane to me. I'm 39, and as a kid in Detroit in the early 90's a fade was 5$. From there the price of cuts would go up about 2-3$ every 3-4 years or so and that was reasonable. But man a taper was still only 20$ in like 2015. But from then on the price started pretty much doubling so instead of going from 20 to like 23 or even 25, they jumped to like 30-35, then from there to 40-50, to now, it's 50-60 for a line up! I was fortunate my best friend cut my hair for about 12 years at 20$ + a tip, then when COVID happened I taught myself how to cut my own hair. I fear that for you barbers , ya'll about to price yourselves out of the market. Regular people don't have 70$ or more for a haircut every week or 2 and they'll start finding out that with a pair of 30$ adjustable Wahl clippers, a few youtube videos and some practice they can get some pretty good results. I just think this is something barbers should really start to take into account as you keep going up in your prices, that at a certain point you'll start losing alot of clientele because people just can't afford to keep up.
I agree barbers can price themselves out of clients if their not smart about it. As far as for me and other barbers that has build up to these price points we're not targeting the average person. As far as my clientle goes the majority of them make 6,7 figures or more. I think that the national average $50 for a good quality haircut and service is cool.
@@jefecuts I think maybe you should have made that more explicit in the video that you cater to a higher earning clientele. You're obviously very good at what you do, but the impression I got from this video is that a normal barber can make over 700$ in a day off of cutting 7 heads. But, full disclosure I make six figures, care a ton about my hair to where I was a 'cut every week ' client and I still can't fathom paying more than 35$ tops for a taper and line up. Just maybe something to keep in mind. Loved the video though, it was very informative!
@@yaboykev536 thank you for the feed back and your right I should of made it more clear. for sure brother I definitely understand you trust me every time I did a price increase I thought hard about the clients before I made a move. Again I appreciate the feed back 🙏🏼
dont forgret we have to pay booth rent/comission, tools, products, etc. we spend alot on that shit. 740 a day but theres losses as well dont get it confused
Where you get ur hat at??? 🔥
I used books to make appts for my boys. I like it as a client.

Nothings up !
Sir I need huge advice I’m looking for something or the sort shop set up u have haow can I get a corner stone barbershop I’m a legally blind barber and I need a shop to where I can control the factors of who comes in and out my establishment I’m wondering if you could help in been working as a barber since 2012
My advice if you have a decent strong clientele and do not rely on walk in clients, to rent out your own studio and work on appointments only. Youll have full control of who comes in and out of your studio.
Bro in Belgium we charge 25 you guys tripping over there in the US.
Yeah but you have health insurance coming with your job.
We need to pay for health incurence
Not in rural America will you charge those prices and have any repeat clientele. I've had old guys cussing me after turning around and heading out the door because I was charging $30 for a cut. So many of the old guys in small towns are stuck in the 60s/70s, but you have to humor them because they all stick together. Piss off one and you've pissed off the whole trailer park.
Which is why I no longer barber.
How long do you take on average? Per hairtcut.
30 to 45 mins tops. If the client wants a hair wash and dye about an hr but that's an additional cost.
I thought the shop was short 😭 lol he’s just tall
😅
@@jefecutsI know as a barber being tall sucks 😅😂
@@tmoney5976 it definitely does.
What age is too old to go to barber school
Tbh you're never too old to start barber school
15 minutes after you're dead is prolly a solid cutoff age...
I got licensed at 58. It's an enjoyable job in a rural town, get to keep up on all the scuttlebutt, but can't make much of a living charging what people are willing to pay...
Do you make that every day?
Usually I make that or more 3 days our the week which is in the weekend on my slower days like Tuesday or Wednesday any where between 250-$300 sometimes a little bit more.
Show the transactions. Y’all
TH-cam barbers be cap asf
Im at 120 a day for booth rent and every 100 i have to put 20 aside for taxes not every person understands that what we walk out the door with is not all ours. Plus when i wana go on vacations i still gota pay my boot rent.
Definitely, a lot of barbers shoot themselves in the foot by not paying taxes, also booth rent needs to get paid no matter what.
A day?? Lord it’s $140 a week around here
@@myyt3824 I just realized he said a day that's insane. I've never heard of that in my 20 years
@@jefecutsI’ve been in it for 10 years and I’ve never heard of booth rent at $500 per week. No idea what area he’s cutting in, but it’s gotta be a massive and expensive city. Unless that was a typo.
@myyt3824 no typo and I'm in downtown sacramento right across from the capital. Yes its alot but I still clear enough to live here as a single adult. The average hair cut here is 50 but people in this area that charge 100 a cut
