      @Eric__J 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Something you do so rarely that it doesn't matter. It's nice to have electric seats/wheel/mirrors with position memory if you share your car regularly, though.

    • @TheMetalButcher
      @TheMetalButcher 9 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      It does matter. If you go on a roadtrip, or have a shared car with your partner, and a significant height difference, it takes for ever for some electric seats to move.

      I do as best as I can. I have my own computer business, confidence isn’t really an issue; I just had a lot of info to convey to him, and i didn’t know what he knew about it, so I wanted to be complete. Typically the “alpha”’s worry about confidence more than I do, somewhat telling in my opinion, but then again, I can always have something to learn. I had a great time doing this. Sometimes the “apologizing” is me seeing it from the other side of the coin, as an outside observer. Anyone can grab an opinion and stick to it; in my experience, they are rarely thought out. I still have this car. Have about 30k on it. I don’t drive around much 😝. Thanks for watching though! I had a blast.

    I reviewed one of these the other day and I have to say I actually liked it. Coming from a guy who daily's a 2015 Vette and a lifted silverado on rainy days. I thought the styling was not necessarily pretty but definitely not boring like so many small crossovers/cuv's. It's small dimensions, punchy engine, and stiff suspension made it a relatively fun car to drive!

  • @Grumpini
    @Grumpini 9 ปีที่แล้ว +106

    I'd buy a Juke, here's why:
    It has the same comfort (driver/passenger) and seating position as an SUV despite being small and better on gas. It's punchy enough to be driven with attitude. You can actually take it out on trails because it has good ground clearance and AWD. All that, and it's cheap.
    The market for this car is young people, who live in the city, and want to buy an SUV or van but can't justify the cost in gas for every day driving around town.

    • @fenzelian
      @fenzelian 9 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      It's also a very successful car in Europe for the same reasons, plus the different style sensibilities.

    • @inudude15
      @inudude15 9 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      That's a contradiction isn't it? Young people who want an SUV but can't afford gas? Then how can they afford a twenty-six thousand dollar crossover? Granted this one is optioned, and maybe the twenty one thousand dollar one makes a bit more sense but still?
      You can afford a twenty thousand dollar new car but can't afford a tank of gas? Really, I think the people that bought this car are not quite so young folks who went in for a "sensible" type car and this was a crossover for a reasonable price that the salesperson managed to foist off on them...

      ***** I have a diesel 2WD 6 speed manual Juke here in the UK and I really like it. Mines the facelift one so it has a bigger trunk and it gets like 60mpg. Sounds crap but meh, I have my Miata for fun times. It handles nicely and is responsive for a tall car. I understand that it's not objectively the best car in any area but subjectively I like it. Isn't that what matters? The styling is different, some love it, some hate it (incidentally every female I have asked loves it), I like it because they did something unique and interesting even if it isn't conventionally pretty. At the end of the day if we all bought cars purely objectively we'd all drive a diesel Ford Focus or something equally dull. But we're not machines and sometimes you like things for no real reason other than you just do. I agree that it's a bit of a jack of all trades kinda car but it's got character and I like it so meh... Just my two pennies worth.

      ***** No features? Certainly not. Ironically before I got my Juke I had a 5yr old Honda Accord and whilst that was a very good solid and statistically fine car it was so unbelievably bland it was ridiculous. I much prefer having a Juke, it's got bags of character and tons of gadgets. If you don't want to buy a brand new car then fair enough. That's your decision. I own a 20 year old Miata (this is actually my second 20 year old Miata after the 1st one rusted beyond economic repair) so I get the appeal of older cars. But for some people the Juke is a good car. There's also something incredibly satisfying about the tight and solid feeling of something that is factory fresh, knowing tha nobody else has had their terrible way with it doing poor repairs etc. I understand your logic but lambasting someone for wanting a new car is missing the point a bit. If nobody bought new cars then you wouldn't be able to pick up a second hand bargain a few years down the line.

    In one of the episode it seems that Togusa is driving his personal car which, judging from the badge, is clearly a Nissan (product placement in anime is nothing new), but far more interesting is that the car looks a lot like what eventually became the Nissan Juke in 2009.

It was kind of strange to me when the RPMs are up around 3 when I’m going - down -a hill lol. Anyway I never thought I would own a car that looks like this but it is in great condition and has grown on me so much since I bought it a couple weeks ago. And even thought it is kind of weird on the space it’s perfect for what I need. And 100% I love the sparkles! Thanks guys :)

    Yellow fog lights do work, but not for the reason people think. The color yellow doesn't effect the way the light travels through fog, but it does effect the way the light travels through your eye. It's the same reason why silver star headlights look more blurry; they bluer light scatters within your cornea (eye jelly).

    I love mine! I got the FWD 6spd manual turbo, much more engaging, though I wish it had the torque vectoring AWD (which is aimed at street performance, not off-roading).
    Also, USA gets only the turbo 1.6 models (power ranging from 188 to 215hp), rest of the world gets a N/A 1.5, N/A 1.6, Turbo 1.2 and a 1.5 Turbo Diesel
    The aftermarket also is growing a lot for them, some Jukes reaching 200 AWHP and others 270FWHP!

    I have one and I have to say it's a great car at drives excellent. downside to it is way too small on the inside. it does handle snow and ice excellent. I have actually gotten a lot of compliments out of it.

    In Europe as well as the 1.6 turbo 6 speed manual or CVT AWD we also had a 1.6 NA with 2WD and 5 speed manual or CVT (also 2WD) and a 1.5 litre turbo diesel with 2WD and a 6 speed manual. Since they did the facelift the 1.6 NA got phased out for a 1.2 turbo which gets better economy and is more torquey at the same time. My daily driver is a 1.5 diesel Tekna grade so the same interior spec with navi etc. as this car. It drives really nicely, I like the looks after the facelift with the DTRL's and more modern lamp clusters. I think I just like the fact that it's different whereas my girlfriend absolutely loves the looks and a lot of my female friends are the same. Mine scores extra points with the female market because it's "Ink Blue" which is actually purple most of the time because it's a purple resin with a blue metallic flake in it and it's always cloudy in England so we don't see the flake so much. I do like the colour and I like the car as a whole, plus the diesel gets around 60mpg which is useful.

    I could see it as a two person active lifestyle tourer. So with the back seats down probably plenty of room for stuff and with a roofrack to carry canoos kayaks bikes luggage things ect. It has enough ground clearance to ride on the "rough" ish side roads to get to the spot you want to be, and gets good gas mileage to go long highway distances. I feel that is what they were going for but with committee design I'd guess they went less for the outdoorsman and tried to market it to northern city drivers while maybe trying to get in competition with the Kia soul. So Nissan hit somewhere in the middle of those two and got the juke. So I am imagining that there were 2 cars Nissan wanted to make and they just overlaid both consepts and traced then said hey thats not too bad. That would explain the odd light setup

    So here's something weird that wasn't brought up in the video. There's another difference between the FWD manual Juke and the AWD CVT. The FWD manual version has a solid rear axle, while the AWD CVT gets an independent rear suspension. This makes absolutely NO SENSE to me. Can someone please explain why this is the case because apparently I'm too dumb.

      ***** Why? Some peoples commute involves stop and go traffic, why would you want to drive a manual in that everyday?
      Some people also just don't like shifting there own gears, nothing wrong with that.
      Not only that but automatics, and especially dual clutch transmissions are faster than manuals so for cars like GTR and Ferrari 458, I'm glad those are automatic and not manuals.
      Automatics also get better gas mileage and are easier to use.
      I think that most cars out need to have a stick OPTION, but not every car out NEEDS to be a stick. That's just silly...

    Firstly, Sport mode gives the Juke more acceleration Power. Also it has a Half engine of a GTR depending on the version but all have the GTR engine. Eco, it gives less power to save energy. Got stars more higlighted more gas saved. Normal is a normal drive.
