    The manual Juke with a 1.6L gasoline is a pretty solid car. I've seen them with 250K miles and very little issues. The CVT transmission models are known to be a nightmare on these cars.

      Nissan in general are known to be one of the worst for CVTs. Toyota are the best at CVT transmissions they've been doing them for 25+ years and their hybrids all feature CVT. If you want a CVT get a RAV 4 rather than a Juke.

      I never saw the point in them, always thought they were a bit weird. Until I needed to get the Mrs a car and she didn't want a big car, with the baby she wanted something like a Citreon C1, I managed to get her up to a Nissan Juke then actually drove one, I was actually surprised how big it was inside and how well it actually drove. Actually had it now 2 years and it's never missed a beat and still ticks the boxes. Styling has grown on me..

    I really enjoyed this video. 😊 I do disagree a bit about the appearance of the juke though. I find the biggest problem with the design of the juke is that it needs a strong colour such as bright yellow for it to really work. But everybody bought them in dull colours like silver so they seem weird rather than as a design statement.

Then they're sold off at auction to the main dealer networks for used car stock at the end of the scheme. You can often get higher spec models than usual if a dealer has surplus stock, or a manufacturer is due to bring out a new model.

    Love these cars, had two of them, a red one I gave to my mother, and now I have a white one in n-connecta spec on a 66 plate , both with the 1.5 dci engine, which has been fantastically reliable and punchy enough when needed. The ride quality is awful for a car with raised ride height and the interior quality is questionable too. I'm 29 and have been lucky enough to have had brand new audi's and bmw's in the past which where both impressive as expected. but I love the cheap and cheerful nature of the juke, the low running and servicing costs. You can park it anywhere without the fear of someone dinging it. I think they make a a great second hand purchase but could never buy one new.

    Just want to say thank you, Matt, your videos have helped me immensely in looking for a new car for the wife. Case in point: Went to see a Focus yesterday. Immediately spotted the car was from Inverness (cold, salty roads in winter, near the coast. Found sand behind the headlights, found a rotten engine bay, knackered suspension, bad paint repair, suspicious oil speckling on areas of the engine that has been missed in a steam clean that suggested very hot, high pressure oil failure of some sort, I noted the tyres and brakes down to the date codes (to be fair, the tyres - 2 Goodyear and 2 Autogreen, all with good tread - were the best part of the whole car!). Ultimately I decided that I didn't even want to test drive it since the suspension was shagged, and that it was a rot bomb waiting to happen. Without your videos (and those of Salvage Rebuilds UK) I wouldn't have spotted half of that stuff. So thank you, your videos are extremely informative and helpful!

    Those 1.6 engines are bullet proof. The 1.2 turbo is rubbish in comparison for reliability. The 1.5 dci is good but needs more maintenance and has the usual diesel dpf issues if not driven correctly.

    I have a 2013 Nissan Juke Shiro (top of the line limited edition model, even better than the Tekna) finished in gorgeous deep aubergine-like metallic color. It has a 1.5 dCi with a 6-speed manual. The odometer reads 325k kilometers and from those 325k, I've done 300k kilometers. One of the most reliable cars I've had. Really nippy in the town, really great for long distances considering the size.

    I sold a few of those hateful cars back in the day! They always seemed the fly out for some reason, but I hated that Nissan modeled the interior of the Jokey Juke on motorbike parts! Also, very sad for me to know that this Jokey Juke is an Accenta Premium spec which came standard with the sat nav, front fogs, and parking camera. I believe heated mirrors and elec sunroof were the options that could be added.....................Jesus I hate myself for retaining this type of useless knowledge!! 😩😩

    • @Rroff2

      Was wondering which spec level it was - I quite like the Nissan n-vision and Tekna trims but they always seem to ruin it by cheaping out somewhere like the brittle scratchy plastic used for parts of the centre console, etc. which just rattle around and look cheap.

    Love my juke been very reliable and it’s nice to drive and well equipped..I’ve had loads of different cars and this is one of the best I’ve had .. don’t understand the hate 🤷 can’t blame Nissan for making something different looking after years of been criticised for making bland looking cars.. and let’s be honest it’s looks paid off…sold like hotcakes and still does 13 year later….and maintain it to the highest standards …and it’s always clean so not all Juke owners are the same…

    I've always wondered, how do you insure the cars when doing the small trips before selling? And when you buy the car to resell, do you count as an owner?
    Always been keen to learn more about car business! Always love watching your videos and I appreciate how honest and open you are with each vehicle buying and selling process. Many thanks!

    • @dwoolwichpoly9086
      @dwoolwichpoly9086 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dealers and the car registered and bought under a business doesn’t count as owners I believe. As a dealer, he would have trader insurance so he can drive almost any cars he wishes with the owner’s permission and if he owns it. Some normal car insurances for individuals also has the “Drive other car” clause that allows you to drive any other car (excluding rental, lease and some other cars) with 3rd party cover only
      Hope that helped

    • @Codzilla71

      @@dwoolwichpoly9086 i've wondered about that drive any other car/third party only. Does that allow me to only insure one of my cars and drive the others under that clause? I think i already know the answer to this! lol.

    • @dwoolwichpoly9086
      @dwoolwichpoly9086 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Codzilla71 so the way I understand it is that if your other car is already insured but the insurance doesn’t include you, then you can drive it with your insurance with 3rd party cover
      The pre-requisite here is that it will require the other car to have a valid insurance first, and to get the registered keeper’s permission to drive it

      Resist the temptation with every fibre, look for anything from VW, SEAT or Skoda for the same budget and you'll get a much better drive. Really? One of the more repulsive crimes against automotive design ever perpetrated. Crap to look at, crap to drive and crap for space for what is meant to be a family car. Only two contenders for that title, the Mokka and the CHR. They are all hideous to behold and drive like a 1970s Austin Allegro and worth about the same after the credit deal has expired.

      @@mrdunns3338 well it is a small SUV, so if you need something big a small SUV is probably not wurth your time. Design wise I would definitly say it stands out, and I admire their choice to make a bald move like that. We have enough boring standard looking SUVs out there so for me enough is enough.
