That was fun, fellas! Here's how we can make all of the timelines fit together: we need a seventh film, Highlander: Princes of the Multiverse! After each Highlander wins the prize in their respective universes, they are summoned to a final dimension for the ultimate gathering and a battle royale to the last with a band of evil immortals. We've got three Connor's, Duncan, Colin, and Quentin all fighting for the power of the Quickening to hold the multiverse together, or rip it apart!
The Highlander 3 conceit as I read it was that Kane is temporarily 'dead', series-style and can only heal/revive once excavated. Thus, he was counted out of the Game as though he had been decapitated. However, this would mean that the possibility of 'un-winning' the Prize would always be hanging over the victor as there would be others out there currently dead for tax reasons but who could revive at any time.
I haven't watched yet, there will be edits, but I just wanna say I did a Highlander 3 rewrite that made it work as a real direct sequel to the first movie. Everything is there, just needs to be realigned to the first movie I would replace Conner with Ramirez in the cave with the sorcerer (which would explain why he sought out Conner because of the sorcerer's revelation of his involvement in the Prize), I would have Kane and his crew time travel instead of sitting in a cave, Brenda would be back, his son would be HIS son, Rachel would be in the hospital, Conner would still have his total telepathic awareness and would be mortal until his first immortal kill, no dying and coming back to life like the series, he'd have the power of the sorcerer with his total telepathic awareness at the end, Debra Unger would be gone, etc Lol

Those are my 2 theories to reconcile the timelines. 1 - The most obvious one, after Highlander 1 and 2 original timeline, Connor goes back to Zeist and created several new timelines. 2 - There are actually several Gathering, all with their own Prize. Connor was really the final one in Highlander 1, but of the summonned immortals. Duncan was not part of this Gathering, which was the New York Gathering. Brenda did have her car crash accident in Highlander 3, but she survived and Connor decided to hide her survival to protect her, because he though someone was trying to kill her on purpose, then she died from the sun radiations. HL3 takes place right after Brenda's death in H2. TV series and spin off The Raven both ends in 1999. Highlander 2 takes place from 1999 to 2024. Then Connor went back to Zeist, he was mortal there and grew older, and then went back to Earth. So Endgame takes place after Highlander 2 in this theory, you obviously have to change things to make it work. And Joe Dawson is much older and still in great shape in this theory. So let's just say the opening with Connor and Duncan takes place in 2024, the rest of the movie in 2029 (because of Joe being mortal), and The Source maybe 2034. Also the "500 years ago" on Zeist is just how Connor perceives it. For him it was 500 years ago. But it was much longer ago, as Ramirez was reborn on Earth more than 1000 years before Connor. So I go with 10 000 years ago on Zeist, and they were both sent to Earth and in the future, at different times. Yes I know, the real timeline is between 2000 and 2002 for Endgame (2004 if you want to include Highlander 3 in the same continuity), it's a headcanon new chronology to reconcile it all.
In the original Highlander, Ramirez states he’s the Chief Metallurgist of “King Charles Fifth” of Spain; but, in Highlander II Ramirez states he’s Chief Metallurgist of “King Philip the Second” of Spain. It’s a different Ramirez. Different universe.
Kane and his goons in Highlander 3 never bothered me, they were sort of "outta the game" by not being revived for all those centuries. Plus the ending shot has that whole "It's finally over" line...followed by the quickening strike as the credits roll to sorta say "not just yet!" Then we jump into the series and realize how good at martial arts Duncan is.
I like to mentally rewrite _Highlander: The Series_ into a '70s-era prequel to the original movie. The Gathering's underway, with only under a hundred Immortals left; new Immortals like Richie are only coming into existence to recycle the Quickenings lost from Immortals who committed suicide/were killed by mortals. A seven-year gap between the two allows enough time for the Immortals featured in the show to die off, leaving Connor, the Kurgan, et al. the last five Immortals to fight for the Prize. Maybe the events of _Endgame_ still unfold, only with Connor's and Duncan's roles reversed.
I don't have any other explanations of how you can incorporate all the timelines to make things work. The obvious thing is of course the first film left no room for a sequal so the writers had to get creative with Highlander 2. Once they made it with all the bat shit crazy stuff about Zeist and shields etc then anything else they came up with seemed like a good idea and could be part of a timeline if you wanted to ignore a few minor details. That works fine for me until the Source which I have no words for....... 🤣 🤣 🤣

General Katana was stupid. Connor was on his last legs anyway, so what does Katana do? Sends two goons down to finish Connor off but fails. Connor becomes immortal once more, Katana goes down to Earth to kill Connor and ends up getting himself killed. Just another reason why Highlander 2 (Quickening and the Renegade Version) was a big pile of crap. Also, how did Ramirez and Connor not know each other in 1541 (first film) if they fought side by side during the rebellion on Zeist prior to being exiled to earth?
