    I bought the exact same bike this summer from a guy that took awesome care of it. New Micheline Pilots, Power Commander, Jardine RT-One exhaust, fender eliminator and nice LED turn signals all the way around. It's a sweet ride and a whole lot different than my '77 KZ1000-LTD.

    It's time consuming but when you need to replace your tires you can strip the wheels down to the aluminum and then polish them out fora bit of shine. I was told to use aircraft remover. I never got to it on my cbr 600 but the bike I saw it on looked really good. He left the spokes black and the rest of the wheel was polished off.

    Yeh that does sound good, ive seen the whole rims polished but leaving the spokes black just looks soo good in my mind lol thanks for the idea dude.

    Hey! Remember me? Nice video, bro. Be wary of making HP claims, though. Different dynos on different days can give totally different numbers. I think the stock 1000RR produces around 145hp at the rear-wheel, (realistically). Can a pipe/power-commander bump that up to almost 170?
    Anyway, I did a walk-around video, too. Check it out! : )

  • @MrKamechan
    @MrKamechan 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    178? 196? ---it's all relative when you're talking about that kind of speed. God, I love litrebikes! : )
    I'd love to try a ZX10 someday, actually....(a friend of mine took one for a test ride and can't stop talking about it).

    Yeh but i know that wont translate to the street but i have personally taken it to 178MPH and thats faster then i will ever need to go again but its always nice to know i have the speed if i ever did want it.

    do you still have that bike? i'm about to purchace the same year bike as a first bike and only 4k miles. Is it considered too old at this point?

    • @Swanson6214
      @Swanson6214  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      no not old at all, 4k miles though means its been sittin alot. may need new tires from sitting as well as an oil change right away. best bike i ever owned hands down. you will not be disappointed they run flawlessly.

    Hi, Sorry to Bother you... She looks very Sweet and Sounds Hot.... Good luck with her... Any reason why you Choose a 2006 over any of the Other Years... I heard that the 2008 would also be a good choice...

    Well if you look up the full Akrapovic exhaust sytem gives you a 20% horespower gain im guessing thats why its so damn exspensive haha thank god i didnt have to pay for it. Regardless though they took it to 196 MPH on the dyno so i dont really care what its putting out either way its fast lol more speed then i will ever need on the street. But yeh theres no guarantee of anything but those were the readings i got. For sure though ill definatly check out your video.

    No just the 2008 had that problem 06/07 were flawless 06 and 07 were exactly same bike just diffrent paint schemes and the swingarm came black on the 07.

    • @danut05
      @danut05 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's funny, i have the same model but the swingarm is black yet the manufacturing date is October 2006.
      I currently have a Leo VInce SBK slipon installed and i can trade it for a full Akrapovic system like yours. Do i need the PC3 and retune the ECU with the full system? Also how did u get rid of the Fi light when disconnecting the ex-up motor?

    10yrs after this vid just sold silver 07. It's been awhile since I've heard someone hit the rev limiter while recording exhaust sound... don't do that. What strikes me as odd is of the hundreds of bike videos I've watched I've never heard anyone mention an alarm system... I didn't even know that was a thing! You must live in some democrat cesspool like California?

    • @Swanson6214
      @Swanson6214  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bike has been sold and its fine to hit rev limiter with bike warmed up, ive had dozens of bikes and hit rev limiter many of times and have had 0 issues. As for the alarm you dont have to live in a democrat cesspool to have a 400lb bike yanked, it takes seconds. and not that it matters but i live in arizona, and apperantly your pretty new to youtube if you have never seen someone put an alarm on their bike before.

    • @mccglastron1972
      @mccglastron1972 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Swanson6214 Not new to youtube at all... gotta be close to watching 1k various motorcycle vids and never heard it mentioned before. I wasn't searching for anything alarm related though. I've never heard of a bike being stolen, nor no anyone who has had an alarm on their bike. Maybe because I don't live close to big city. Couple hours away from Milwaukee & Chicago, probably more common there. Also, makes sense that it would be more common where you are as you can ride all year round? Maybe you guys don't ride when it's so hot, that can't be pleasant. It makes sense, just seems weird... my car has an alarm, lol.
