I always thought a 2005-2009 Mustang GT with a Coyote Swap is the best modern Mustang you could ever own. You get the classic styling with the modern power you desire.
The 05-09 are still really cool one of the best mustang years, & if u coyote swap it awe man u got yourself a gem best of both worlds in terms of looks & power
I have a 05 mineral grey GT I love it. Catless x pipe and Mbrp mufflers. It sounds awesome. 285,000 miles on it and does not burn oil. This is the video I been waiting for.
I've had a 05 mineral grey as well. Not many of them around . The valve rollers got f'd up. Just got my gen 3 coyote and can't wait to feel the difference
I am VERY interested in this series, because I'm purchasing a first gen coyote for my Black 2007 Mustang GT\CS on the 9th of September. PLEASE keep it detailed. Love the content keep it up.
If you're going for just a motor swap all you need is the engine, the 3160 if you don't have a manual. The PBH harness and accessories bracket. If getting a F150 engine you will probably prefer Mustang intake manifold and intake cams. Then just the fuel system and a fuel regulator
It sucks that the coyote had such a huuuuge hp jump because it made the 3V look like garbage as far as power. Still a solid car especially for somebody who is new to mustangs.
I'm so going to enjoy this build. I really do love the 05 and 10 GTs. Now the V6 cars are super cheap. I can grab one that is clean and solid and go to town on one. Be sure to do a price break down like the New Edge build. This one is going to be better then the New Edge build.
Awesome. I really appreciate you guys doing this swap. I have a 05 gt with a broke motor. Already bought a 2012 Boss 302 and I'm about to start the swap. I'll be watching all videos. Thanks ✊
With the fuel system I think I understand it I have to drill a hole in the hat and make a fitting for the return line to feed back in the tank from the c5 return regulator also thinking I should upgrade the pump as well
When the swap is done, It would be interesting to weigh it and see how the weight compares to a 2011-2014 Mustang! I'm guessing that it will be lighter and have a power advantage...
Love the swap but you can make 500 wheel and 450 tq with a supercharger on a 3v. Seems like the only reason to swap a coyote in would be to make at least 650 or more wheel. Looking forward to the build
@emmanuelreyes8879 no you can go upwards of 550 rwhp on stock bottom end safety with the right combo it can and has been done. You gotta have cams and headers and all the supporting mods keep tq around 450 you can do this while pushing over 550 rwhp with an efficient setup. Throwing boost on a stock car you won't be able to go that high it takes proper supporting mods.

I’ve been waiting for the 05-10 coyote swap series!! Very few TH-cam channels have done them. I know Johnathan Harder got his 3v swap with the f150 coyote engine & Brenspeed Performance did “Project Baby Blue Balls” with a v6 to a Coyote Swap. Very underrated swap, seems a bit more simpler & some of these 05-09 3v are going for $3-5k in my area. I have two 3v mustangs that are both correctly down , so this would be a nice swap to do to at least one of them. Looking forward to the series!
You can use a c5 corvette fuel filter and make a return fuel system for pretty cheap that will have the required fuel pressure for the coyote engines, the c5 filter has a built in regulator at 58psi. Also the 05 and 06 mustangs don't have the plug and play harness available unfortunately like the 07 to 09's, im finishing up a swap on a customers 05 mustang as we speak.

Hey guys going to do a swap on my 07..if you use ford control pack you have to purchase trans harness and since my motor didn't come with a motor harness, both of these items even used can run 4 to 500 dollars and the control pack going for 2000, would it not be cheaper and easier to purchase a holley terminator x harness..which is pretty close to a plug and play, your thoughts appreciated.

I have some questions concerning this swap. I'm putting a GEN2 block in my 2013 Mustang GT. I want to use the gen1 block in my 2006 GT. Do I need to use the 4.6 engine harness in conjunction with the PBH harness? Is the engine harness from the 4.6 3v used at all with the coyote motor?
The 5.0 first gen only make around 360 at the wheels probably close to 400 bolt on tune , the cost of the engine and all the extra parts for the swap is not worth it for that little power , is more easy and cheaper to build the little 4.6 and make a lot more power

Absolute Longplay that’s definitely true
Exactly all these asshats trash the 4.6 but it's a versatile platform, 400 hp is possible without getting to the internals, or go with a SC.
