      1. Yes, spares are readily available. Some guys have had theirs for over 3 years and spares are much more common nowadays. Also, the three reknown mazda mechs can always source parts for you alongside getting them from CMC and Mazford (for OEM).
      2 & 3. Yes, there are 2.0 petrol axelas (Mazda 3) around . Most engines in the Mazda lineup are shared esp amongst the axela, Atenza and the cx5.

    An interesting review but having sampled mark x 2.5L v6 and mazda 2L I must say I prefer mark x. If you again go to top spec 2500cc turbo mazda it doesn't come anywhere near mark x 350s supercharger (both are rare). So comparing the lowest or highest specs of the two, x takes the day each time since that's the only fair comparison

    This unit is from Singapore. The biggest giveaway is the name. If it was from Japan, it would have the Atenza badge/name at the back. Mazda sells this car in most other countries as the Mazda 6. If you are buying from Singapore, cars from there usually are of higher trim, so they will have stuff like leather seats, fog lights, sunroof(mostly). They will also have a number of mods but I have seen a number of dings and repairs(e.g. though they are classy, those rims have taken a beating). The Japanese have cleaner, well taken care of cars than Singapore.

    • @CARNVERSATIONS
      @CARNVERSATIONS  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      On point, this is a Singapore spec and yes the pavements were not really kind enough with some sections of the rims esp the front

    • @erickariuki6856
      @erickariuki6856 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some differences to note: Japan models will mostly have more driving assistance features whilst the Singapore models will have more 'luxury features'.
      1. Instrument cluster - Type B cluster is standard on most atenzas while lower trim 6's from Singapore will have type A clusters. Limitations of the type A cluster is that you have less configurable features and information. The major settings (auto wipers, auto lights sensitivity adjustment, door lock setting e.t.c) are in the Infotainment screen so you will think twice about upgrading your head unit. The type A cluster doesn't display much info and just general warnings (e.g if a door is unlocked, the standard general warning light will show vs the type B cluster which will show which particular door is open).
      2. All auto windows, leather seats, parking sensors - common with even with lower trim 6 but not too common on lower trim atenzas.
      3. LED DRLs - auto on most 6's and can't be switched off but I note a number of atenzas (even those with AFS) have them running only when the general running lights are on.
      4. SCBS & RVM (Smart City Braking System) - easier to get even on a lower trim atenza but you have to upgrade to the higher trim 6 to get them
      5. Spare tyre - not too common on the Atenza but very common on the 6;
      6. Heated seats - much more common on the Atenza than the 6.
      7. Full frequency radio in English - found on the 6, not available on the Atenza unless some language change is done. Some guys have managed to get the major cluster converted to English.

      Joshua I assumed you didn't have a car, and was imagining how you could get hold of either for sometime. Having owned an Accord makes you speak from experience, I agree,but for car enthusiasts,nitty gritty differences and the real thing that one needs in a car is what would make one choose either of the two... For me the Madza stands out,but Accord is a real car.. no doubt

    I drive mark x 2008 v6. This car feels luxury, looks baeutiful, very powerful, very smooth and firm on tarmarc road, very good and amplified music audio system, very low fuel consumption compared to its engine size( those who dont drive mark x actually dont know its fuel consumption- this car actually consumes around 15 km/l on highway). If you want to know its fuel consumption actually ask those who drive them!
    the car is cheap to buy. You will rarely get any problem with its engine and gear box. The routine service cost is cheap too.
    Its ground clearance is good too. The car suspension adjusts itself over road partholes. Each wheel acts on its own. If one wheel/tire falls into a parthole, the rest will not follow. This car clears its self over a bad road like a magician: you as a driver will never know how it does that.
    Mark x is a big sedan on small money and it competes with very expensive sedans. Toyota understans its customer very well.

    I haven't seen anything about it that's better than an equivalent Mark X. The Mark X seems to beat it at everything, except maybe looks, but that's subjective. Or maybe I'm just biased. How does the ground clearance compare?

    Nice & entertaining review👍🏽 Since it always has to be about the street cred and class and not about being happy with your ride then no other sedans can compare to the Mercedes E & C class series, BMW 2 series and Audi A series sedans, even a VW Passat is higher up the ranks in my opinion .. so in essence, just to point out there's always gonna be a better ride than yours💔😂
