I think that with a lesser actor, the whole "i'm not touching you, but I can feel every inch of you" would fall really flat. But from TG, it is perfection. This whole series of kisses may be my favorite in this playlist. And believe me, it's VERY hard to narrow it down.

I generally don't post like this but I thank you so much for posting these wonderful Luke and Laura episodes!! I can't tell you how many times I have watched them? They are amazing actors!! I love how much these videos hold up even in the world of TV today!! Thanks for all your hard work putting your channel together!! So many of us Luke and Laura fans really appreciate it!! @@yvonnecooper5004 So did Luke. Poor Luke would’ve had the worst case of blue balls. This is kind of funny but back in the sticky Door era they had a really long Makeout scene in her apartment and TG would slowly stand up and hold hisJacket and tie in front of him but in one instance, the tie swung and got stuck on what he was trying to hide. So Luke had more restraint than TG did. That was an episode where it was a switch around because he wasn’t ready because he hadn’t gotten the ice princess, which would’ve given him $50,000. Towards the end even after he told her no, he was nibbling on her ear and I’m sitting here going “stop nibbling on her ear”you’re just making it worse on her.

I watched some of the newer episodes from the past 5 or so years and no way is it any where close to these old episodes! GH will never get back what they once had...even Luke and Laura aren't the same...

Luke and Laura were sooo romantic together. The kissing was definitely 🔥 and they had a special "something" that no other soap couple had. However, it was different in the 90s and beyond. Luke and Laura were not the same and Luke/AG just looked different. I think when GF got married in real life it changed and the special "something" they had was lost.
Hi Lisa I have to agree with you on the one also! It graves me to say it is so. I wish I didn't ...although I do have to say when Laura went to jail. When Luke was in the cabin with Laura ..that kiss spoke volumes I do have to say all that Luke& his Laura had together should not be the very END OF THETE SOULDUL LOVE!I don't watch any longer.. Yes, Luke and Laura's epic, decades-long romance/marriage began in the ugliness and controversy of a very peculiar rape plotline. But it was a lot more than that.
Obviously, such a plotline wouldn't fly today. Luke IRL would have been doing time, and Laura IRL would have been doing years in therapy. It was a controversial premise even then.
But the fans of those days were absolutely enthralled by these characters just the same; it was the army of fans that encouraged the writers to set Luke on a redemption arc, with Laura as his means of loving forgiveness/muse/strength.
And you know what? Due to crack writing and the talent and strong chemistry of iconic actors, it worked like a charm. It saved the soap opera. It drew in younger fans. They were lightning in a bottle.
LnL were HUGE. Absolutely mammoth in popularity. Nothing like them before or since. In my adolescence, I watched them, too. And it is true that the dual episodes showing their wedding still hold the record for highest number of viewers of a soap opera IN TV HISTORY.
To fans around the world, it will be Luke and Laura... forever. Pop culture history.
@arladicey very well written. Longtime fans are still very loyal to them. The characters and actors are loved. Also. If they wanted to pull the show off the air at the time it would have been canceled 😞

Hi @sussezq not sure where to start! So so many - really love the sailboat & the Department store scenes - TG is gorgeous! Have to agree with others that watching these two together is addictive! I'm watching these for the first time so not 100% sure what's ahead but know the wedding was HUGE in the US with Liz Taylor on it too. Can't wait for all of it! What a fantastic job you did putting these together - here I am watching 37 years later in Australia & totally hooked ! :) Big thanks !!!
its really best if you start at the beginning of what i have and work through the 79,80,81....playlists! But that's just my opinion. Its all so good. Glad you found it and are enjoying!

I feel so awkward... here I am, age 58 in 2020 and I’ve only just discovered all of these Luke and Laura episodes! I used to live with my dear grandmother who was my best female friend and we used to be devout Another World and The Bold and the Beautiful fans and now THIS?!?! They were so sensual and avant-garde in story telling. Great writers on GH. Wow. Really WOW.

I am 65. I am a nurse, I always felt GH filled part of that puzzle. I got off at a bank at 2 and after balancing drive 15 min home. I missed a lot but some things are crystal clear in my mind. I am 5 years older than GF and 10 years behind TG. I watch this constantly looping them from ‘79 through ‘06. Can’t stomach much more than that. My sister and I comment about Hutch’s tight pants every night. Nuts! I mean crazy🤦♀️

I re-evaluate my top 10 favorite scenes periodically, and this has moved into that group. Don't know why it wasn't there from the beginning because Luke and Laura's scene in that barn is so sensual and sexy! Tony Geary can play a love scene like nobody's business! Talk about painting a picture!! Definitely hot - bet that was one steamy set that day!

Tony Geary is so cute. I think his looks changed in 93 and beyond. He didn't look the same or sound the same or act the same. I don't like the way he ended up. He was unrecognizable.
Time has that effect on us. By 1993, Tony Geary was 46 years old and age was just beginning to creep in, but he was still Luke to me. And Genie, well only 31, still young, looking nearly as she had in the '80's. Of course, Genie now being married, changed the dynamic too. Remember Luke and Laura had been together for over a decade, had a child. These things will change the dynamics in a relationship. But they were still Luke and Laura, at least at first......
@@2006bbbb1 I agree. In 93, at the beginning, they were still Luke n Laura. However, they started acting different and apart and Laura started acting to self righteous and Luke wasn't the same as well. I think everything started looking different and depressing. I think they lost their chemistry after GF got married in real life. It wasn't the same😪
From what I’ve read, it seems it’s all due to (or the infamous fault of) a new head writer that took over in the mid-to-late 90s who began to inexplicably tear apart the shows most adored and famous lovers/couple, their history, their family and future 😩. I watched briefly when they were on in the early 90s out of curiosity because I heard of them…it was awesome seeing them a bit older but still together in love and now with a son ❤️. Why couldn’t they have continued with them being happy but adventurous? Other shows like Scandal have proved you can still have a super hot couple into their 30s/40s/50s. Hell, even beyond that! It’s a travesty that in 2021, Laura is on the show as another man’s wife! Scotty is on the show but Luke is not?! This to me adds another star-crossed aspect to LnL 😢 IMHO
He looks really unrecognizable now! Very strange, not a bit of masculinity or sexy anywhere. But he's about 70. Age gets us all, mostly anyway.

You know D.... that was the thing about them.... L&L really were ALL of those things.. and not more one than another... I don't see any current day GH couple really that is all of those things... they are either funny, at the expense of serious, or intense at the expense of funny.... this was so much more like a "real" couple.. with highs, and lows, and passionate moments, angry moments, funny moments... ... magical moments alll the way around! I SO MISS THEM!!

They seem to be dredging up the Luke/Tracy love affair. Having Tracy grieve for Luke, give me a freaking break. She didn't even know the real Luke. He disappeared in 2003 to be replaced by a Luke nobody even knew anymore.

I am it’s July 2023, just found these about 1 month ago. These vids are fantastic, thank you so much for making them. I originally began tuning into GH summer of 1979. My aunt who I was staying with at the time, watched GH everyday. She wouldn’t pick up her phone between 3-4 back then. I was 26 and got hooked on GH. Lovely memories of days gone by of my aunt who is long gone and a summer romance that began on GH and in my own life that went onto to a marriage that’s still working today. I could relate to Luke and Laura and their special love for each other ❤

I never pulled an all nighter for college STUDYING... just to stay awake.. there was always someone to talk to... we lived on a floor of 4 suites, 2 male, 2 female and we always just hung out and played cards and stuff.. had deep conversations about life.. and it was always humorus to watch the drunkards stumble back home in the wee hours...

One of the gifts of the show is that the characters speak from their point of view and change it as necessary to their situation. Laura telling Luke the note said she couldn’t break the bond between them when it said she was breaking the bond is an example.
Sorry no... the actual beginning of the ice princess storyline was early fall. ..just about as soon as they got back from this adventure.

I like the character of Luke when he's being "real", but when he talks to Laura like a character out of a bad romance novel, that comes off so corny to me that it makes me cringe.
Jackie is beautiful, but Bobbie is a stinker, always has been. She's plain mean here to Lesley.
