- Amy & Laura discuss Rick & Lesley's divorce. Rick drops in on Lesley the morning of the divorce. Jeff tells Alice he wants a divorce from Heather. Luke & Laura discuss the day before on the sailboat.
I would clone Anthony Geary not just for Luke but I love him in interviews. No bullshit. Eloquent. Confidant. He was a great actor... I miss him...

@@TheloniousJackson ty. After they filmed the scene and the public fell in love or was already wanting them 2gether, the writers had 2 immediately backpeddle and have Laura think she wanted it. Uh, I could go on 4ever about this!!
I was like Kathy Bates in Misery. Are u fans crazy? Did u all 4get that Luke actually RAPED Laura forcefully which was not in the scene, but clearly, the aftermath implies that. She was hysterical and crying, and he was saying OMG! What have I done?

Why don’t the writers write to please the viewers. Wish Luke & Laura could come back & stay together. Luke & Tracy go off into happiness... Tracy does not complement Luke. The real stories of Luke & Laura & Laura & Stefan carried the best story lines.

After all this time am still wondering just whatLaura did to Luke? Luke was the one who got the Laura fever bug. To this day Luke was the one to start that hello. Luke became obsessed ...so dont go blaming Laura first she did try ...but the endgame is Laura 0 Luke won... Love. Rosie
I did not like Laura with Stefan he also hurt Laura. He was angry at her he thought she left him for Luke. She did but she did not want to be no body prisoner no way. Laura also miss her mom & Dad and PC. So she got off that Island herself. Love Rosie
@@stephaniefoster1172 Because Tony Geary's head exploded from the size of his ego. He resented being known for Luke and Laura as he thought he was God's gift to acting incarnated and didn't want anyone to touch him in his glory. Now (40 years later) he is making noises about being sorry for his attitude and mewing about being perhaps interested in coming back. Thing is, no one wants him to come back. He has done ENOUGH damage.

Tony Geary said when he met Genie Francis on their first scene together, he was 33 and she was 16. That was the scene where Luke meets Laura at their college while being introduced to Laura, he realized how beautiful she was. He was at the time, trying to break up their marriage so Bobbie could be with Scotty.

Their birthdays are very similar GF 5/26/62 and AG 5/29/1947. Not that this really means anything but they had a natural connection, especially when younger.

The early Luke and Laura storyline would never fly in today’s world, with all the censorship, and people crying when they hear certain words. It’s ridiculous and maddening. People need to GET A GRIP! I so wish I could go back to 1980- the world is a miserable place now. I watched this when I was a 10 year old kid, and I can’t believe I’m enjoying just as much now at age 54! I was just going to watch one video- and it hooked me! I’ve been watching for hours now!
LoL I was only going to watch a few videos a day. I am binging several during the day 🌞💻 and more at night. 🌛🖥️ I can get sleep 😳🥱😴 in a few days/weeks?😂😂😂 I too am 54! And the videos fill in some of the details that didn’t make sense when I was 10/11 yrs young.🤨🤩😍😁😲🤔😂😂
Interesting that Scotty Baldwin was once the "good guy" and Luke Spencer was the "bad guy" at one time..... BEFORE the roles reversed.
sort of. scotty really treated laura badly though. He wanted to boss her around and treat her like a child. I am not sure she would have been so interested in luke if she wasn't unhappy with how scotty treated her.
Yes just for a while.. then it went back again to Luke. In all his darkness and cruelty to Laura again.....Rosie

Chesapeake Bay Thank you for putting into words, what I've apparently been doing also... I keep telling myself I'm going to watch every episode, from these here, all the way to 2008 (or maybe further, whatever the other playlist covers) but yet I find myself drifting in attention span by the time it gets to where Laura goes missing... and then back to the beginning again:)

Good question. I mean she was over 18 when the story started to go supernova so she can’t have been too young for an Emmy category! Systemic sexism /gender power imbalance in Hollywood? Dunno. This is NOT a slight against Tony BTW. I’m thrilled he was nominated and won during the golden age but they should have recognized Genie too :(

Finola Hughes deserved an Emmy too. I don't believe she ever got one even though her acting was superior to probably 99% of the cast if not 100% in the 80's.
I never understood what Leslie sees in Rick. She could have any number of men who would treat her the way she deserves to be treated. Rick and Monica are ick.

I know :( Part 2 is even worse EXCEPT Howard comes to the rescue and supports Lesley & puts Rick in his place in a subtle way. My computer crashed the FIRST time I was trying to upload part 2 but it is in process now. Now............this is ONE of the MANY reasons why I am so glad Lesley puts Rick in his place & makes him wait late 80 - mid 81 which just happens to be my favorite time frame for that very reason :)

@maria He is a jackass! I am glad Lesley makes him work hard to get her back in 81! So many of the episodes are missing from August of 80 through May of 81 which was critical to the Rick/ Lesley storyline! I wish I could go back in time and rewatch all of those from that timeframe because that was when I was truly invested in them being my favorite couple

I'm sorry to bring this here but on the one hand, I adore the romance of it and on the other, I feel sick about it. Laura was violated and there is NO way around that. All feelings resulting from her being violated ( her love ) are tainted in a way.
