Ohoh second body. They are adding up. I actually liked Hutch even back then when I didn't know if he'd turn out okay. Besides, it added to the suspense every day. You had no idea how this would all turn out because there were no spoilers. It was the best.

You are probably correct. I wasn’t quite sure what Hutch meant. Woodstock was in 1969 and folks loaded up vans and traveled there, and made cross country trips together, so two guys and a girl should not have been a problem. Perhaps the writers were very square. 😃

He never thought he was good enough for Laura.I think that is why he settled for Tracy.He lost Laura twice to her mental illness,and he couldn't do anything to help her.I don't think he could have lost her again!He lost his humanity when he wasn't with Laura and became an alcoholic and a sad lost soul.Tracy was a drinking partner and was rich.Luke always was worried about money.I don't think he ever stopped loving Laura!! She was his life and would always be!!!A love like their's doesn't just disappear!

He is tremendously vulnerable where Laura is concerned. He is a very strong person in many ways but she is his biggest weakness.
