How prophetic that statement was over all the years.. "I couldn't make it without you". He became a shadow of the Luke we all fell in love with when he was without his Laura.
@@colleenr7268 But he chose in 2008 to replace Laura with Tracy and he never looked back. He changed into a man I couldn't stand. I was glad when he left in 2015 because he was nothing like the Luke we all fell in love with. Not only that but the way TG and the writers tore the LnL love story to pieces was awful. To say that Luke never wanted to be married, never wanted kids, didn't want to always have to save Laura. I think TG forgot that Laura saved Luke a lot of times. She shot a gunman who was going to kill Luke, she threw his keys over the cliff, she gave him the dynamite bracelet to take care of Mikkos Cassadine. But I really think the worse was him and Tracy and I even think Bobbie said that Laura had trapped him into marriage. I'm sorry Laura was happily married to Scotty before Bobbi and Luke butted in. He begged Laura to marry him, maybe he was just trying to get in her pants, I have no clue.
I stopped watching when there stopped being Luke and Laura. I started again when it was announced that Luke was leaving the show. It makes no sense that he chose Tracy over Laura and ran off with Tracy!!! I love Genie but it is not the same, not as good as the old LnL days!!!!!

It's funny how stories on TV you know are acting bring emotions and memories to you from your own real life. I watch these bc I'm stuck in bed, and gotta do something to pass the time,and get my mind off losing my husband. I used to watch GH as a kid and it's very enjoyable to see them again, and I appreciate it. But I didn't expect to find myself remembering so much of my marriage in it. My husband was so kind, so gentle with me. He had a smile that lit up the room, and treated me with such tenderness and passion. He worked his tail off to take care of me, and he could be so funny. Gorgeous blond/ silver hair, blue eyes, strong..I miss his strong arms. Love like this that's self sacrificing, tender, funny and passionate isn't just fiction. It really happens, if you marry the right one. I'm thankful for our 44 years, but I wanted 44 more.
I am so sorry for your loss. But how wonderful to have been loved like that. Not everyone knows what that is like. Glad you find some respite, distraction or entertainment here.

Now Laura never doubted his Love for her never. .....ok smart ass’s did Luke ever , and I mean ever say that to any other women that was in his life......He’ll No not ever.....Only his one true love Luke and HIS Laura....only that is why I don’t care what the writers producers, OR anybody else might say or write. Just today he mentioned Laura on current GH. Timing much? I just can't see how they've twisted up the story for them so much! The more I watch of this (my first time seeing this!) the more amazed and outraged I am. They were just so wonderful, and when they were together they really could seem to do anything! Luke is just so loving with her and I think Laura is starting to discover her self worth, but only because of Luke.
@ZanneMar No that's not true. That time when Luke thought Laura had died, she came back to him! She loves him so very much! She loves him just as much as he loves her.

@katjansen13 Yep I agree.. and they always mention Laura during sweeps time.. some day before GH is said and done, which might be soon.... sure hope they pay this story, these actors, the characters and the audience that loves them so much the respect we deserve for being loyal to a fault.

What a wakeup call.. yumm. Hutch trying to catch a glimpse of Laura in bed is just creepy. Is Mrs. W just clueless? L&L are supposed to be on their honeymoon! As they say, timing is everything.
Laura/Lucy covers up many times with Luke but she is quite UNcovered when Hutch is at the door on this morning. Not sure how I feel about this.

Was photo copying that common back then.... I know just a couple years later they were popular... but I am not really sure about that... I still think in school then ( I was in elementary school then)we had those stupid ditto machines with the blue paper and you needed to use that carbon stuff..........hmmm, not sure of the time line. May have to look it up now.
