Great tutorial. I’ve been looking for basic tutorials for silhouette and you never disappoint. I’ve had my silhouette for a few years but haven’t used it much. The first tip on this video got me excited. I like shortcuts, too
Wow…1/great voice makes it so easy to listen to you 2/ you are so Informative and easy to learn from 3/ please don’t apologize you are teaching us all great info 4/ love your smile 5/ your just fabulous thank you thank you ☺️
An alternative for recording font name that I use is to make a copy of any type BEFORE I flatten it. That way, I can always click on the copy for font identification and I can start over easily if I get several steps into a design and decide that I don’t like it. The copies can easily be resized smaller to be unobtrusive when saved off to the side.
Wow! Thank you, Becky, for all your Silhouette Studio tutorials! I have been a Cricut user for many years, and Design Space (and Craft Room before that) drives me nuts. I was excited to learn that free Silhouette Studio software with an upgrade to the Business Edition gives the capability to save projects as SVG to import and cut with my Maker. It is a game changer for me! I just upgraded and I’m already off and running. Thank you, also, for the tip to watch for an image size change in Design Space.
TEASER! you called that right, i thought that was just a glyphs icon! And so glad to know about the shortcuts list in end of manual. Cant wait for the tut on making my own font. I get so jealous watching people make svg words with procreate on their ipad.
Getting my new machine any day now, trying to learn as much as I can, will have to watch it on my laptop as I could not follow your mouse to see how you got to were you were showing us, will rewatch and take notes 😀 thanks for your great videos
For the last one with the eyedropper on the 'creation menu' -- you can actually copy the design/properties of an object even easier! Just do the following: Click on the object you want to change Hold down the 'Ctrl' button (on PC) and an eyedropper will appear. Move the eyedropper to the item you want to copy (still holding Ctrl) and click on it. Boom, you're done! So much faster/easier!
Omg Becky this was awesome I’ve used a cameo for years but had a 2 and just cut card stock now I got the 4 with business edition and want to learn what the software can do These tips were great and can’t wait for the font creator really I’m shook never even seen that icon lol Thank you
Hi Becky just wanted to say thank you for your great videos. I have so much to learn with my new Silhouette Cameo 4 and you are helping me so much. Looking forward to the next one Val from Croxley Green UK ❤
OMG, my jaw totally dropped with that 2nd eye dropper tool. I never knew this. Thank you for the GREAT tutorial. I am a subscriber as of now. Awesome info.
Do you do a complete course in silhouette studio ? Loving this information , just waiting on my blades and stuff arriving to get started 🥰 thank you for the info
Hey Audrey! I don't have a complete course, but I definitely have more videos on Silhouette Studio! I'll link the beginner video down below, in case you haven't see it already. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions! ---Becky th-cam.com/video/uVVoMB27Or8/w-d-xo.html
Thank you, I literally only knew 1 out of all of your great and awesome 7 tips! I'm most excited about the grid tip. I'm always getting the vinyl patch sizes wrong. This way the screen is exactly the same as my mat.
Hi Becky, Thanks I learned so much. I watch your channel, I love your channel, I love it!. Your first hack helped me tremendously. I am somewhat of a new-bee. I have been having a problem for a week but in your first hack it help me to resolve it. Thank you so so much
There was a couple of things I wanted to see so I watched it again! I never knew what those numbers were for and makes perfect sense. I use the stickie notes a lot on my files and adding the histogram number will be so helpful along with recording the font! So simple, why didn't I think of that..... Ha Ha. As usual thanks so much Becky....I'm thinking for me to progress it's time for me to upgrade to Designer Edition.....
I've had my silhouette for 6 years and am always learning something new about it. You are a great teacher! Do you have a video on using the WARP feature for tumblers in the business edition? I've had it for 2 years and can't figure that thing out.... :-) Thank you.
Great video, thank you for sharing. I have a a couple questions for ya. When you create something, do you save it in design studio or do you save it to your computer? I know in another video you said you save it to your computer if you’ve purchased it from somewhere but what about your designs? Should I always save to my computer so I don’t ever lose it? I like the studio though because then you can see each image, but I don’t want to lose something I create either.
