Considering the price, it is a miracle to even get a 1:10 scale off-road capable RC car with licensed body, detailed interior and fully proportional controls. The price is barely above some pretty awful toy grade products so you can't really expect much more.

This would be good to drive around the house to entertain the cats, which is what I'm after. Looks fantastic! Nice review 👍

Thanks for the video! I used to tinkle WPL stuffs years ago, I had fun, but I’m done with this brand… it’s a shame over the years, the don’t seem to have upgraded the quality of theirs cars… specially that today, there’s a lot of cool stuffs for attractive price…

this is really a wpl 1/16 chassis with a 1/10 body as the suzuki is quite small in real life. swap out the RTR electrics and gearbox with the upgraded V3 electrics and 2 speed gear box for the 1/16 and this be a whole different truck. I have had and still have many wpl trucks. our box they are basic but the price reflects that and upgrades are not expensive either as the chassis is super popular and there tons upgrades off shelf. this one is top heavy. I have a couple the wpl C14 (toyota hilux) and have a B16 6x6 crawler too. as well as a few of the on road D series models (these make great drifters). all share many part keeping costs down.

As you said, this WPL seems a good start for a heavy personal project.
At the end, you had to change so many parts to get something drivable (and spent so much money) you can count on your fingers the remaining parts from the original model.
The body and interior are nice. Maybe the only parts to keep. Jimny fans may think they deserve the $60...😉

Looks super scale and I do love the looks of this. Seems to be in need of a HW 1060 set up and a bit more powerful motor!
May as well get a new receiver and transmitter too! Thanks for the great honest review my friend!

And that a choice, buy cheap and trow in much parts to upgrade them, or buy a little more expensive for a better car. But that's a thing I like about this Hobby, there's always something that suits you

You can't have fun with stock WPL trucks and by the time you upgrade them you have spent enough money to buy a TRX4M, SCX24 e.t.c. which are better crawlers anyway. Without upgrades they can only be shelf queens.

WPL's are all really toy grade even the KM kit.

      I share that opinion

And yet the "exalted" hobby grade are still toys and you're playing with toys as your hobby. Don't get it twisted that the amount of money you spend or don't spend makes any difference at all. Hobby-grade toys or toy-grade toys, it's all semantics. 😄
