Cause multiplayer is worth more with it's microtransactions. Singleplayer storyline is merely a lure to attract players to the true moneymaker of Rockstar: multiplayer cash sales.
Writers got worse and making a parody of themselves. Gta4 they tried being too serious and "relatable". It was depressing how gloomy the game was.
And voice actors they pick now are all amature not A list celeb talent.

@@revilhunter disagree, at least on Saints Row 2. I think any old Saints Row fan, whether they want to admit it or not, knows the first game is a GTA clone in many ways, but the second one though? It’s when it really felt unique and started getting it’s footing. Better action scenes than any GTA game to date, well written characters that were a perfect blend of serious yet funny (except for Pierce, cool character, but some of his jokes and lines felt really poorly timed). Plus, I honestly prefer it over GTA V. GTA IV and Saints Row 2 are some of my favorite games, but V just felt... rushed in a way.
I really do hope (though I’m not naive enough to believe it’ll actually happen) that Saints Row 5 takes more after 2, fuck it, even if it’s a soft reboot or a prequel to 1 where we see the rise of the Vice Kings as Julius would be badass. Though, since when has Volition ever cared about the old fans?
