Damn watching your video I remember myself how much I miss my 9-5 Aero. I'll need to get another Saab soon. Keep up the good work. Have fun at SOC. Greetings from Spain!
I admire the time you put in the cleaning, claying and polishing. I never can be bothered; normally the car is dirty again after one round trip to work. It's either dust or dirt and sticks to the car like hell.
I always liked your SOC videos. A good opportunity to get an overview of the event for those not living in the US. This 9-3 is getting better every time :) Maptun has soome nice floormats for sale :) Sometimes a premium leather seat cover set come up for sale here and there. I would keep an eye on this. I was lucky to get it ti my 9-3 years ago.
@@AutoAutopsy Take it easy and everything will go well with your Saab. My 2007 Hirsch I call SAABotage because something is always coming up. Now there is a leak some place in the Turbo hoses or connections, maybe the intercooler. :(

@@AutoAutopsy No wonder after how much you tinkered with it. But maybe just because of that it should really be fit for fight. And it's a much simpler car than anything from the 900S and up, not least electronically. A lot less things to go wrong. Have a tremendous road trip. I wish I could go, too, but I live on the wrong continent for that.
my seats are still ok but the front passenger sensor is not...ordered a new sensor. One OEM+ question: Undercarriage braces from the convertible 9-3 or aftermarket ones on sedan 9-3?
Very doubtful that would work. The subframe is a different partnumber for the 'vert so I'm not sure it has the boltholes for the brace. And: you would need the 2 plates/'cups' for the 2 rear fixingpoint of the brace. However, these attach to the subframe bushing bolts. Now, the 'vert does not have the pressed-in rubber bushings of the sedan/ wagon. It effectively has no subframe bushings at all, just some narrow steel bushings around the bolt. I doubt that the 'cups' will fit over the rubber bushings of the sedan/ wagon as these are flared. Aside from that, you would lose the 2 braces towards the rear, attached to the exhaust tunnel. The 'vert' does not have those, and they cannot be attached to the 'cups'. I would put a strut brace on and be done with it.
@@DutchTubeWizard Well, yes and no. 😁 No... 2003-2004 cars only have one frame. Yes... I would have to buy at least 2 suports + nuts&bolts. I don't see any welded parts.
@@alexandredionisio9280 I have a 2004 convertible. I used to have a 2004 sedan. My EPC lists different partnumbers for a 4/5door subframe and a convertible, which makes sense given that the subframe suspension bushing system between the 2 versions is completely different. It may still work but make sure you have the boltholes for the reinforcement brace on the front of the subframe to begin with. These sit on small weld-on brackets on the inside of the subframe right behind the radiator stay supports. On the rear, you need the brackets ('cups' as I called them) and these just bolt on the subframe bushing bolt. There is a second bolt that goes into the frame to keep the bracket in place. First of all, this bolthole needs to be there in your frame, and then I'm still not sure it will work as you cannot bolt the bracket all the way up (down? depends on perspective) because the convertible subframe bushing system is entirely different. The small steel bushing that the bracket bolts on top of sits slightly recessed in the ' vert subframe 'eye' whereas the rubber bushing of the sedan is flared and actually protrudes from the subframe eye, so the brace attachment bracket will sit about half an inch lower on the sedan than it will sit on the convertible. It may work though. I still think that you cannot re-attach the bracings towards the rear your car should have now, the ones that attach to the sides of the exhaust tunnel. But even that may work, but you will need longer subframe bolts. But indeed, at the rear nothing is welded, just bolted. I would put the car on a lift first and make sure you have the 5 points where the brace attaches inspected and you know the the rear 2 are going to fit.

Top tip: if you use a dry erase marker, you won’t have to waste one of those sweet esaabparts oil change reminder decals after every service.. 👍🏽
Great idea!! I did not think of that
Saw your car in Portland yesterday and today! Was hoping to meet you but I didnt ser you around! Maybe next time!

Have you resolved what was the problem with your fuel pump?
nope; I put the OEM one back in and plan on diagnosing it when I have time in the future
